Numbers 14:33 Summary
This verse, Numbers 14:33, tells us that because of the Israelites' disobedience, their children would have to take care of animals in the wilderness for forty years. This was a punishment for the parents' sins, and it shows how our actions can affect those around us, even our children. As seen in Deuteronomy 1:39, God had a plan to care for the children, but the parents' rebellion changed that plan. We can learn from this that our choices have consequences, not just for ourselves, but for those we love, and that God is a just and merciful God, as seen in Psalm 103:8.
