PREFACE This volume contains the greater number of the lec­tures delivered in the auditorium of Abilene Christian College during the annual Lectureship held the last week in February for the years 1926 and 1927. It is regretted that not all of the manuscripts were handed in, and therefore cannot be published. This volume is sent forth with the hope that the great addresses de­livered and here reproduced may be a source of inspira­tion and encouragement to those who read them.
