A Spot on the Inside

A man on the pavement was washing the large plate-glass window. There was one soiled spot which seemed to defy all efforts to remove it. After rubbing hard at it, using much soap and water, and failing to remove it, he found out the trouble. “It’s on the inside,” he called out to someone in the shop. Nothing but the Holy Spirit can cleanse the inside of a man’s life, for there the Holy Spirit alone can reach.
