162. For Lawyers.

O LORD JESUS CHRIST, by Whom the will of the Father is revealed; Grant, we be seech Thee, that those who give themselves to the study of earthly law may constantly acknow ledge the supremacy of Thy divine justice, so that in all causes they may seek truth and not victory, and that their own lives may be purified by the law of Thy Holy Spirit, and the remem brance of that strict account which they must one day give of every thought and word and deed, before Thy judgment-seat; Who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Spirit, One God, world without end. Amen.
