Afflictions Weighed Out to the Christian

No physician ever weighed out the medicine to his patient with half so much exactness and care as God weighs out to us every trial; not one grain too much does He ever permit to be put into the scale.
Our sorrows in the scale He weighs,
And measures out our pains;
The wildest storm His word obeys,
His word its rage sustains.
