00.5-A Word of Explanation
A Word of Explanation This module is designed to be a companion to the CrockettDDT.harx file which is available here - www.doctordavet.com/other_modules.html. That .harx module is laid out for ease of use when comparing the complementary Scriptures. This .topx module does a much better job of maintaining Crockett’s outline of the Scriptures themselves. Or, in othe words: the .harx is best suited for detailed study, while this .topx module is better for big picture study. This eSword module does not include the Preface, Introduction, Table of Contents, nor the index originally included in Crockett’s work. The helpful Appendix is included.
Crockett subdivided many of his verses; and he only included any portion of a verse once. All of Crockett’s verse divisions (example: 1Ki Ch 9:24b) have been removed. The result of this is that some of these verses are now listed twice in the harmony. Also, Crockett would occasionally list verses non-consecutively (example: 1Kings Ch. 4:21,24,20,25). eSword does not allow for easily making this type of listing, so these verse references have been arranged to be consecutive instead.
Formatting Note
Crocket used vertical lines to distinguish text during the divided kingdom times. That isn’t possible as eSword is currently configured. I’ve tried to represent the crossover of information from Northern Israel and Southern Judah within the flow of my outline. If confusing, a glance at Crockett’s original may be very helpful.
