I.    Baptist Fundamentalism Organized

A.    Facing the uncertain decade of the twenties, Fundamentalists and conservatives were now beginning to organize themselves into a positive, united, Christian front in the face of worldliness, modernism, socialism, cultism, humanism, materialism, and Romanism.

1.    In 1919, Fundamentalists began to cooperate across denomina­tional lines to establish the World’s Christian Fundamen­tals Association (WCFA), but many Northern Baptists, while working with the WCFA, felt that they also needed an organized effort within their own denomination to focus on specific problems.
