And make our weakness strong;

Renew our valour in the fight

Against the power of wrong.

The zeal our lives have lost,

And on our fainting spirits pour

The grace of Pentecost.

Our minds and hearts to cheer,

And pierce the darkness of our night

Of ignorance and fear.

Reveal the love divine,

That stooped to earth from heaven above,

In sympathy benign.
