93. Christ

Jesus as the Christ was the Messiah, the Sent One of God to do a work for us (see the 43 times in John’s Gospel He is spoken of as the One who was “sent,” and the purpose why He was sent—John 20:31). As the Christ He has—

1. “Died for us”—Romans 5:8.

2. He was raised for us—Romans 6:9.

3. He lives in us—Galatians 2:20.

4. He has redeemed us—Galatians 3:13.

5. He brings us near to God—Ephesians 2:13.

6. He strengthens us—Php 4:13.

7. He is the Object for our concentration in life—Php 1:21.
