On Patience
Tertullian's treatise on the virtue of patience as exemplified by God Himself and required of all Christians. He calls believers to imitate divine forbearance in their dealings with others and in enduring suffering.

2. The patience of man, which is right and laudable and worthy of the name

3. Look we then, beloved, what hardships in labors and sorrows men endure
