Psalms 23

Psalm 23 (2 of 4)
1 THE Lord's my Shepherd. I'll not want He makes me down to lie In pastures green: He leadeth me The quiet waters by.
2 My soul He doth restore again, And me to walk doth make Within the paths of righteousness, E'en for His own name's sake.
3 Yea, though I walk through death's dark vale, Yet will I fear no ill: For Thou art with me, and Thy rod And staff me comfort still.
4 My table Thou hast furnished In presence of my foes; My head Thou dost with oil anoint, And my cup overflows.
5 Goodness and mercy all my life Shall surely follow me; And in God's house for evermore My dwelling-place shall be. Scotch Version, 1641.

Psalm 23 (3 of 4)
1 THE Lord my Shepherd is, I shall be well supplied; Since He is mine, and I am His, What can I want beside?
2 He leads me to the place Where heavenly pasture grows, Where living waters gently pass, And full salvation flows.
3 If e'er I go astray, He doth my soul reclaim; And guides me in His own right way, For His most holy name.
4 While He affords His aid, I cannot yield to fear; Though I should walk through death's dark shade, My Shepherd's with me there.
5 In spite of all my foes, Thou dost my table spread; My cup with blessings overflows, And joy exalts my head.
6 The bounties of Thy love Shall crown my following days; Nor from Thy house will I remove, Nor cease to speak Thy praise. Isaac Watts, 1719.

Psalm 23 (4 of 4)
1 THE Lord my pasture shall prepare, And feed me with a Shepherd's care; His presence shall my wants supply, And guard me with a watchful eye; My noonday walks He will attend, And all my midnight hours defend.
2 Though in the paths of death I tread, With gloomy horrors overspread, My stedfast heart shall fear no ill, For Thou, O Lord! art with me still: Thy friendly crook shall give me aid, And guide me through the dreadful shade. Joseph Addison, 1712.
