146 Christian Soldiers
Christian Soldiers THIRD YEAR—SUBJECT 39 Christian Soldiers
(READ EPH. 6) In the church of Christ we find it is not only a life of action, but It is A battle of life.
God has ordained I must fight and that I must fight according to his commands. In his army I must enlist, I must put on the armour of God, and then I must fight with the weapon he has given me and be subject to my Captain in all things.
It might be well to emphasize the thought that God requires me to en¬list in his army, not in some sectarian army. I have no more promise of being rewarded after the battle is over if I enlist in some sectarian army than one could have had of salvation from the flood out of Noah’s ark and in some other ark; or than one could have from being cured of snake bite by looking at some other snake than the one Moses made. So I must fight as a soldier in the army of the Lord.
