Section 1. I, Patrick, a sinner, a most simple countryman

Section 2. And there the Lord opened my mind to an awareness of my unbelief

Section 26. And then I was attacked by a goodly number of my elders

Section 27. They brought up against me after thirty years an occurrence I had confessed before

Section 28. On the other hand, I did not proceed to Ireland of my own accord

Section 29. Therefore, on that day when I was rebuked

Section 30. For that reason, I give thanks to him who strengthened me in all things

Section 31. Hence, therefore, I say boldly that my conscience is clear now and hereafter.
