5. The hope of being saved by a profession, or church membership, or faith, that does not save us from sin Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:
Heb 12:14 Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
They profess that they know God; but by their works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
