How is it possible we shall rise again with the same bodies we had upon earth?

It is not possible. The Bible does not teach we shall rise again with the same body we had upon earth. It distinctly teaches we shall not rise with the same body. In 1 Corinthians 15:37-38 we are told distinctly: “That which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat or of some other grain; but God giveth it a body as it hath pleased Him, and to every seed his own body.” In verse 42 we read: “So also is the resurrection of the dead.” That is, as the context clearly shows, just as in our own sowing it is another body that rises, so also in the resurrection of the dead. The body that rises is not the very body that was buried, though it is the outcome of that body. The Bible distinctly teaches that there shall be a resurrection of the body, but not the same body (that is, not composed of exactly the same material elements) that was laid in the grave, but nevertheless a body, a real body. The bodies we now have are sown in corruption, but shall be raised in incorruption. They are sown in dishonor, but shall be raised in glory. They are sown in weakness but shall be raised in power. They are sown a natural body, but shall be raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body (1 Corinthians 15:42-44).
