WOMEN PREACHING.

"A Lover of Truth." We have, in one of our earlier numbers, gone into the subject of women speaking or teaching in public. We believe the teaching of the New Testament is distinctly against it. Whatever is meant in Acts 21:9, and 1 Corinthians 11:5, it is impossible they can contradict 1 Corinthians 14:34, and 1 Timothy 2:11-12. These latter are plain and positive, and admit of no question whatever. The former may present difficulties when you come to apply them; but Scripture cannot gainsay Scripture.
