I. Nature 1. Name – Ekklesia – an assembly of called out ones Kuriake – that which belongs to the Lord 2. Christns are called – brethren, believers, saints, elect, disciples, Christians, those of the Way (Acts 9:2) 3. Illustrations The Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 10:16; 1 Corinthians 12:27) The Temple of God (1 Peter 2:5-6; Ephesians 2:21,22; 1 Corinthians 3:16-17) The Bride of Christ (1 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 5:25-27; Revelation 19:7)
II. Founding
