01.01.03. FIRST TUESDAY OF ADVENT

1 min read · Chapter 4 of 39

FIRST TUESDAY OF ADVENT Read Genesis 3:9-13 But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"

Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?"

God is the great investigator. His questions reach into our hearts in a deep way, especially when we have decided to listen to the many voices of darkness. It is significant to note that His questions are seasoned with grace, not anger. God the Creator becomes the seeker, seeking that which He loves, that which is important to Him. Listen again: "Where are you?" Not in anger, but in grace He asks "what have you done?"

If you see the compassion in these two questions then you have seen the character of the Redeemer. Every time we stumble, every time we let things get out of His control, He’s there. He comes with questions simply because He desires to re-open the lines of communication. God is gracious.
