Notes on the Pentateuch
Charles Henry Mackintosh (1820–1896), commonly known as C.H.M., was an Irish-born Bible teacher associated with the Plymouth Brethren movement. His Notes on the Pentateuch — covering Genesis through Deuteronomy — became some of the most beloved devotional commentaries of the nineteenth century. D.L. Moody reportedly said he would rather part with all his library than C.H.M.'s notes. Written in simple, warm language, they draw rich spiritual and typological lessons from the five books of Moses.
