Jos. 15:32. And yet here are thirty-eight names. The probable reason why in the summing them up they are reckoned but twenty-nine is this: - The other nine were afterwards set off to another tribe - viz., the tribe of Simeon - viz., Beersheba, Maladah, Hazar-shual, Azem, Eltolad, Hormah, Ziklag, Remmon, and Eder or Ether.
