Meyer's Critical and Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament
Heinrich August Wilhelm Meyer (1800–1873) was a German Protestant theologian and biblical scholar. His Kritisch-exegetischer Kommentar (Critical and Exegetical Commentary) on the New Testament, spanning 20 volumes, is one of the most important critical commentaries of the nineteenth century. Working directly from the Greek text, Meyer combined rigorous philological analysis with theological insight, establishing a standard for scientific New Testament commentary.
