2 Chronicles 4

Irwin

1 an altar of brass. This altar was four times as long, four times as broad, and about three times as high as that which had been made by Moses; and it formed a large platform about thirty-five feet square, and seventeen and a half feet high. The account in Kings does not give the dimensions of the altar.

3 oxen. See note on 1 Kings vii. 24.

5 three thousand baths. See note on 1 Kings vii. 26.

7 according to their form. “According to the ordinance concerning them” (R.V.).

16. Huram his father. See note, ii. 13.

22 entry. In 1 Kings vii. 50, instead of “entry,” it is “hinges”; which is probably correct, a letter in the Hebrew word being here omitted by a copyist.
