24 shalt wave. A mode of presenting the offering to God. So “heave,” or “lift up,” ver. 27. These ceremonies of the altar service are now first mentioned.

25 for a burnt-offering. Rather, “upon the burnt-offering” (R.V.). This consecration-offering is also a thank-offering.

  1. deal. A share, division, or part. A “tenth deal” means a tenth part of an ephah. Hin, about 1½ gallons.—beaten oil. Olive berries, if beaten or squeezed while green, yield the best oil.

43 the tabernacle. Rather, “and it [i.e., the place] shall be,” etc.
