Lenski's Commentary on the New Testament
Richard Charles Henry Lenski (1864–1936) was a German-American Lutheran theologian and professor at the Evangelical Lutheran Theological Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. His 12-volume Commentary on the New Testament is one of the most thorough and scholarly Lutheran commentaries in the English language. Working verse by verse from the Greek text, Lenski combines rigorous philological analysis with confessional Lutheran theology, producing a work that is both academically substantial and theologically rich.
