Isaiah 16:1-14

Continuing the prophecy concerning Moab, the prophet proceeds to describe how in her distress she will appeal to Judah for sanctuary (Isaiah 16:1-5). This will be refused, and so great will be the distress of Moab that even the prophet breaks out into lamentation at sight of it. He declares that this visitation of Moab is in fulfillment of an ancient prophecy, and at last the time limit is actually set (verses Isaiah 16:6-14).
