J.C. Philpot's Commentary on Selected Texts
Joseph Charles Philpot (1802–1869) was an English Strict Baptist minister and editor of the Gospel Standard magazine. His sermons and meditations on selected biblical texts reflect his deep Calvinist theology and emphasis on the experiential aspects of the Christian life. Philpot's writings continue to be treasured in Strict Baptist and sovereign grace circles.
