THE STANDARD OF GIVING

The Jew was taxed a tenth. He gave it because he must. The Christian is supposed to give as Jesus gave. He held all subject to our need. We are to reckon that all we have is his. Then we’re to give as his Spirit guides. Knowing about the world’s needs, feeling its emergency, we’re to hold everything subject to the Spirit’s control, and habitually, thought fully administer what we have, giving as he guides.
