Love for the Truth is the characteristic of the Church.
For a bringing to a thorough insight regarding this simple fact we pray.
CANTON: From a prayer chamber
Order, obedience to heavenly order will be brought in if the altar is set in order.
The cross, the message of the cross, conduct brought forth by the work of the cross is the center of a revival.
We pray for this reality to make an impact.
The prayer chamber is a place of seeing.
But, it must be allowed to remain hidden.
It brings light, but it dodges the spotlight.
Revivals are born in such a place.
May all praying men and women cherish this covering.
The perennial burden in the Prayer Chamber:
An ear shut to the voice of God
A non-operative conscience
A heart of stone
An un-repentant people
A straying nation
Brokenness – a blessing,
because
brokenness cannot produce.
It allows for God to work.
Within this experience, only within this experience lies the beginning of a revival.
And for this we pray.
Save us from the kind blessings that come without repentance.
Save us from a work of restoration which lacks holiness.
Save us from the kind of glory which holds no heavenly substance.
Pray for Preaching that makes Christians pray and sinner weep.
The willingness to solve conflicts and come to light and fellowship equals the willingness for revival.
Into this realm we pray with humble hearts.
A great obstacle to be overturned:
Self-important ministry which dares to set fort its own agenda as of greater value than the things of the Lord.
Mountains of this category may be removed.
The Revival realm:
Everything given by revelation
Everything measured by fellowship
We pray for walls to come down and for eyes to be opened
Revival – ability to identify what is necessary to produce change.
Revival – ability to pursue that which is necessary to produce change.
Revival – willingness to yield to God’s alternative.
We pray for willingness, ability and yieldedness.
O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years.
Our great need – a firm renewal of the work of our Lord, not our activity.
Our great need – to see him set forth, make known and establish his purposes.
Our great need – to withdraw our requests for him to bless our agendas.
Allow Your work to come alive again.
From man’s standpoint, there is no realistic move at this point.
That which should hold certain heavenly measure is compromised.
That which should carry a testimony regarding the glory of God has been taken capture by hostile forces.
Allow Your work of salvation and deliverance to come alive again.
hi Walkington,
I'm a little confused. What is this thread about? Please pardon my ignorance...
Many of us engage in praying for the Revival Conference in Canton which begins today. An event hosted by the website which we frequently visit – Sermonindex.
What you see here in this thread are short items of thought and prayer which have sprung out of our fellowship in prayer these past hours.
These notes may also be used as condensed definitions regarding prayer for revival in all settings in which a genuine longing for revival exist.

A crucial matter of Revival:
What do people meet in us when they encounter us?
A fresh testimony regarding Christ in us or just another religious man?
Save us from charismatic inefficiency in our prayer chambers.
Save us from praying which does not care to carry the burden of Yours, dear God.
Save us from modern means of bringing isolation and weakness into our prayer sessions.
Save the Canton event, especially the prayer sessions from despondency and fretfulness.
Save us from exaggerations, negative or positive.
We are asking for:
Pulpit and pew to be overtaken by the purposes of God.
Pulpit to be humbled, a necessary taking the spotlight off of man.
Pew to be strengthened to act according to conscience and the instruction of the Holy Spirit.
We pray for:
The recovery of the Majesty.
The Knowlwdge of the Holy
this to cause inner stature to make us salt and light.
We invite the many dear praying friends to pray for:
A recovery of a sanctified initiative to the prayer chambers.
A reinstating of the mandate to the House of Prayer.
May the people of God be drawn to the ministry of intercession.
May priestliness be restored among the Holy Nation of God
We pray hard for those who are endorsing that which is meaningless and at the same time repressing the values of Christ, repressing life.
Our prayer session has lasted for some nine hour by now.
We intend to continue through the gathering at 6.30, local time.
Come and join us in prayer.
And, if you receive a well-defined prayer item regarding the conference and/or revival in general – please, feel free to post.

The warfare to be done to prepare for revival:
Begin to think. . .
Begin to listen to your conscience. . .
Allow the Holy Spirit to convince and convict. . .
This is prayer warfare with an open mind and a broken heart.
Without the Cross – no formation of spiritual character.
Without a well-defined Cross – no ministry which pleases heaven.
Without the Cross of Christ at work – no authenticity, no identity.
Without the Cross – the Christian testimony compromised.
Pray the Cross back to the center of the Church.
Jesus Christ, the representation of the absolute lordship of God.
The Church is purposed to be a solidified statement of this fact.
To live is, for the Church, Christ.
We are the message regarding the absolute lordship of God.
Christ in us – the hope of Glory.
Revival is an absolute necessity as this purpose is missing.
Pray for a doing away what we may call the modern type of conviction, based in psychology, that God loves, loves no matter what – which is a through reduction of the work of the cross.
Pray for a re-establishing of biblical conviction – intense, inescapable conviction of sin unto repentance and life in Christ.
The Cross a most dangerous contraption – it works for an authentic expression of the Glory of God.
May we all encounter it over and over again.
The Beginning of Revival:
Tell the people; all flesh is like grass. . .
To be reduced by the withering work of the Holy Spirit.
Natural work, our good ministry reduced to nought.
We owe our children a heaven-sent revival.
Denny Kenaston
Let's get on praying ground and stay there till God comes.
Let's get jealous over our hearts.
Repentence is the unchanging way to revival.
-Denny Kenaston
We will begin today’s prayer watch in about an hour.
It will be a long, but profitable journey.
We had the privilege to listen to Denny Kenaston while in prayer last night. It was a classy experience and also demanding – not to take courage, not to correct course accordingly would lead to heavy loss.
All blessings while you prepare for the day.

Brethren, the crying sin of the Church is her laziness after God.
Samuel Chadwick
We must pray for this lethargy to be removed!
Mark
These notes are awesome.
May we copy them and use them for prayer and edification in our prayer group?
Hanna
These notes on prayer and revival thinking come out of our notebooks as we are fellowshipping before the Lord.
Therefore they are intended for more prayer and thinking.
Please, use them as such.

Thank you so much for this ministry from your prayer chamber. We will take this opportunity to coordinate in the Holy Spirit.
I understand that you are praying for many hours pr day during the conference.
We were just listening to Ralph Sutera. Awesome. . .

I would like to throw in a Ravenhill quote to pray into:
The world has lost the power to blush over its vise; the Church has lost her power to weep over it.
Ah, Mark
This one is a classic one - blushing belongs to the rare art of repentance.
today In prayer..
I was standing there and God told me to reach out and pray to new people I didn't know
I started in the back. With older lady, asking her If I could pray with her. I went about 4 people.
Each person was different but neat.
before that I had started in the prayer room.It has been cold all week. I am from Az.:)
While praying God said to me. WHom to you want?
Me or the world? How much do you want me?
What are you willing to give?
a Sister I met a here, came and prayed with in me.
Together wecried and wept for hours. Humble us Lord. Humble us. I have never had so many tears.
It was just us two for the day in the prayer room.or sometimes me. There couild have been others in the other one.Idon't know.We cried God would bring people to pray in the pray meeting.
I say our God is good.. Today I walk in with such a longing to pray with others. Oh beloved I love praying with others. anyone My heart was buring can I pray with someone, now'
Anyways walking in there was two girls there, God go and pray for her. I ask if I could pray for her.I started praying, after doing so he started crying and repenting of sins and I did the same. Then here firend came and prayed with us. Then a little later a guy join us. alomost 2 hours all 4 us prayed. deep prayers. repneting and desiring God. None had none each other, before this, yet we all so honest with each other.
Then later a other guy join, who shared what God was speaking to him.
God has been showing me through prayer it is hard work. I will be honest there has been many times I wanted to go home. I was sick and didn't feel well. On Saturday I started getting sick. I been in many pains. It seems each a little harder.
But God keeps me going. I have been lacking sleep

I have met more friends here, then most place in such a short time. I have still much to learn.
God also showed me that he will brake through to those who humble themself.
Praise God Charlene, it is good to hear from you yourself. We have been inquiring about how you are. Knowing of your health. We have been praying for you specifically. May the Love of God sustain you and strengthen you as you rest tonight.

Annie & your friends
I'm sorry but i have read with interest your posts, i m new and so i did a search and found that u are new to. I have been listening to the nite services since i have to work. i can appreciate all that u are saying but do YOU have the things in any measure operating in you life? if not than u are a hipocrite. to me you r like talkative in pilgrams progress. just alot of uattaimable ideals that neither you nor the readers of your posts can attain, that makes you the worst kind of pharasee sitting under the condeming eye of god.
What a tremendous challenge the sessions in Canton sets forth.
What a tremendous possibility the promises of the Lord set forth.
What a tremendous opportunity we have before us.
Bless you all as you pray your way through this day, this week, this time in which we share.
Brother Terry
From today’s reading. . .
To be applied in prayer for revival
A man does not get converted without having conviction of sin. When that conviction of sin comes, and his eyes are opened, he learns to be afraid of his sin, and to flee from it to Christ, and to accept Christ as a mighty deliverer. But a man needs a second conviction of sin; a believer must be convicted of his peculiar sin.
The sins of an unconverted man are different from the sins of a believer. An unconverted man, for instance, is not ordinarily convicted of the corruption of his nature; he thinks principally about external sins, – “I have sworn, been a liar, and I am on the way to hell.” He is then convicted for conversion.
But the believer is in quite a different condition. His sins are far more blamable, for he has had the light and the love and the Spirit of God given to him. His sins are far deeper. He has striven to conquer them and he has grown to see that his nature is utterly corrupt, that the carnal mind, the flesh, within him, is making his whole state utterly wretched.
When a believer is thus convicted by the Holy Spirit, it is specially his life of unbelief that condemns him, because he sees that the great guilt connected with this has kept him from receiving the full gift of God’s Holy Spirit. He is brought down in shame and confusion of face, and he begins to cry: “Woe is me, for I am undone. I have heard of God by the hearing of the ear; I have known a great deal of Him and preached about Him, but now mine eye seeth Him.”
God comes near him. Job, the righteous man, whom God trusted, saw in himself the deep sin of self and its righteousness that he had never seen before. Until this conviction of the wrongness of our carnal state as believers comes to each one of us; until we are willing to get this conviction from God, to take time before God to be humbled and convicted, we never can become spiritual men.

A revival will become a reality wherever a company of committed decides to recover the art of crying out to the Lord, wherever the fellowship of the burning heart gathers to partake in carrying of the perennial burden of the Lord. His cry is an “Oh, that my people would. . .”
