I think this book Christian Thought is an excellent and pithy introduction to Christian thinkers down the centuries. Tony Lane's thumbnail sketches of philosophy are an excellent introduction and foundation for further studies. This will give you the skeleton and some flesh too, but it excells as simple introduction to some very complex areas.
