Hearing about miracles kinda offers me encouragement and ceases doubt for a bit, so I was wondering if anyone had any neat stories to share that couldn't be explained any other way than God's own intervention...I heard one where a jewish rabbi visited a church one day and went to the altar to be prayed for...a few people behind him laid their hands on him and began speaking in tongues...he actually heard someone speaking in hebrew about him and what God planned to do for him...he turned around with tears in his eyes and said "who here speaks hebrew?" And nobody said anything...he then asked one of the guys where he was from, and the man told him "from Ireland, but I don't speak hebrew"...the rabbi recognized the guy's voice as the one who was speaking to him those particular things...I thought it was pretty fascinating
Does anyone have any stories of true modern day miracles?

One day I was addicted to drugs and alcohol. The next day I was not.
15 years of drinking, the last few spent drinking whiskey every single day. I used marijuana, cocaine, LSD etc… during those years. Towards the end I was abusing pain killers and sleeping pills while taking medication for depression, panic and anxiety attacks, and high blood pressure.
I was home alone. I became convicted of my sin against a Holy God. I cried out and asked for forgiveness. No preacher. No church building. No altar. Just me and God.
One day I was lost. The next day I was not.
This is obviously the short version, but miraculous just the same.
All praise be to God.
I was dead in trespasses and sin, and HE created life in me.
Hi jdl
You can read my own personal testimony of healing here http://scottishwarriors.wordpress.com/2008/02/13/anatomy-of-a-miracle/
And yet the greatest of all miracles remains the new brith.Physical miracles pale into insignificance in comparison to the new birth.

I know you asked for miracles that can not be explained any other way so I just wanted to remind you that the greatest miracle of all is that a wretched terrible sinner such as myself (and you) can be forgiven by a Righteous, Holy, and Awesome God, if we repent and believe. God sending His only Son to suffer and die in our place is all we really need to know, don't you think???
God Bless

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies...believe me, I want to experience that miracle as much as you guys have...It's just that nothing has happened yet...But it's encouraging to read everyone else's
A year or so back, as we were worshiping in a small home meeting, a lady suddenly began going around the room sniffing things. Strange, we thought. Turns out her olfactory organs were severely burned by steamat age 8, 44 years previous, and for 44 years she had been unable to smell anything at all. God, in a moment, restored her sense of smell. All of the smells were totally new to her as she did not remember them. She even found a dead rabbit under the porch of her house, and rejoiced in the Lord that she was able to smell that as well.
Some young men in our fellowship spent a night in worhsip and prayer just a week ago. A young man with chronic TMJ (jaw disorder) was there. The men prayed for him, and heard his jaw audibly pop back into place. He has had no pain or symptoms of this disorder for a week now. The same thing happened to my wife a few years back. She has had no pain since.
Miracles are simply normal operating procedure with God.
Another man visited our fellowship about a year ago who, unknown to us, had been to the Mayo Clinic and was diagnosed with a fairly advanced stomach cancer. God gave a word of knowledge to a man in the fellowship who prayed for this man about something awry in his stomach. His next trip to Mayo revealed absolutely no cancer. The doctors were a bit puzzled and this man had ample opportunity to share Christ with them.
I have often read accounts of Smith Wigglesworth, John G. Lake, etc. and the miracles that accompanied their ministries and wept with joy over how much God loves us and the joy that those people undoubtedly felt.
True, without salvation we are lost forever. But God is concerned about our physical bodies and our daily lives as well.
Praise His Holy name!
And yet the greatest of all miracles remains the new brith.Physical miracles pale into insignificance in comparison to the new birth
Amen.

To me this qualifies as an ALL OUT miracle! I don’t know if any others will agree but that is ok, I’m giving God ALL THE GLORY!
Feb 20, 2008 We had a thick blanket of clouds over East Tennessee for about three days and I picked up my son from school and he seemed really down and I asked what was wrong and he said, “I’m not going to get to see the lunar eclipse tonight, it’s not going to be over us again until 2011 and I’ll probably be on the other side of the world in the military then.” I took his hand and said, “Let’s pray.” I remember asking the Lord to push back the clouds so Sam could see the eclipse and I closed with “Lord, my son says you never speak to him, I’m asking for him not me. Amen.”
For only being in 10th grade, that kid had more faith that he’d see that eclipse than I did! He kept running outside every 15 minutes and had his telescope outside waiting! He’d get on weatherunderground.com and the news was even saying we’d miss it, so I went on to bed a little before 9 mumbling “if it comes out wake me.”
He came running in my room about 9:50pm and said, “Do you want to see the lunar eclipse?” Throwing back the covers I said, “I wouldn’t miss this for the world, buddy!” He ran outside and I got dressed and when I walked outside I looked up and the stars were sparkling under a clear black sky! I got all choked up thinking about God showing Sam how much He loved him (which is what I’m doing thinking now). It didn’t stop there, I stepped out further while looking up and saw a perfect round clearing around the moon and the clouds looked exactly like they had been pushed back in a perfect circle. I wish I could’ve taken pictures but I don’t know how to take night sky photos.
We saw a couple of neighbors out and went over to talk to them. They said too, “I thought we weren’t going to get to see this but at the last minute the sky cleared up enough to see it.” I told the Lord, “I’m telling ‘em.” So I casually shared about the prayer and the husband and wife just looked at each other!! And for an extra UMP!, before midnight the clouds went back together and a thick blanket of clouds hovered over East Tenn for about three or four MORE days!!
God is so good! Sam is not on a good path at this time but I’m trusting that the Lord knew this when He pushed back the clouds for him and that He is in control. Nothing takes God by surprise! I just humbly thank Him for being so visual to my sons.
wow guys...this is great stuff...please keep em coming, if you don't mind
My youngest son is 9 and when we brought him home from the hospital everything seemed fine. My in-laws were over that evening and I asked my oldest son who was 8 at the time to turn the stereo on for me. Well the volume was at an extremely high level for some reason and the stereo came on with a loud "boom" and the baby didn't jump or react at all. So we began clapping and shouting but there was no response at all . He could not hear anything we were doing. Tears came to our eyes and we immediately got on our knees and prayed to God for healing and the grace to receive whatever His will was for our son. The next day we took him in to the hospital and had him checked and he responded normally. Praise God!!
Here is a testimony of how God healed me earlier this year. I posted it on my blog and I have just copied and pasted it to here:
Well, about a year ago, I had a very bad whiplash injury. It was in a freak swimming accident and this laid me out for several months. God provided, through some Christian friends, all the resources needed to go to a chiropractor. The treatments helped and I got better.
Then a couple months later, I re-injured my neck and this time my back was affected. I was in severe pain much of the day and it even kept me awake at night. I battled trusting that God knew what He was doing and wondered if I'd ever get better. Then depression set in. I struggled with thoughts and feelings I'd never felt before. "Was God really listening to my cries of pain?" "Is He as loving as I thought He was?"
I read a book called The Problem of Pain by C.S. Lewis. This proved to be a real turning point for me. Mr. Lewis pointed out that the Bible says the God is love. Therefore, if I did not see Him as that or what He was allowing into my life as loving, then I could know there was deception in my life about who and what God is. When I realized that God was more loving then I could ever imagine, my doubts began to go away. Also, at this time I tried meditating on Scripture passages that talked about God's love and how He was my heavenly Father.
That was the beginning of my mental healing. The physical was yet to come. There were times that I'd start feeling a little better, but not much. I'd spend my time in reading (I've read 66 books since Oct. 18, 2008), Bible study, and other things that didn't require much physical activity. I learned much through the books I read and the extra time spent in the Word and in prayer.
Then last Friday (May 29), I went to a friend's graduation party. A very dear pastor friend of mine asked me how I was doing and I told him that I was only doing a little better. He put his hand on my shoulder and prayed for me. Almost right away I started feeling better. Then the youth went out and began playing Ultimate Frisbee, which is a game I love to play. Several of them asked me to play, but I was fearful I might hurt myself again. However, as I stood there battling the fear within me, I felt God tell me I was to play. I obeyed and was amazed that I didn't hurt after some rough plays out on the field.
The next day I helped some friends move and I even carried some heavy things out and loaded them onto the truck. Again, I didn't hurt except for some muscle pain, which is totally understandable after I'd been inactive for so long.
Since the Lord touched my body and began the healing, I have had to rebuke the enemy and remind myself that I am healed through Jesus' blood. I thank God for this amazing turn He has brought into my life. May all the glory go to Him!
Thank you Lysa for that testimony, the LORD has done that on many occasions for me and I enjoy reading about others who in asking just for a little thing like that God response to something that we think is insignificant. It just goes to show how close He is to us and how personal He desires to become in our every day lives, even if it includes Him in a game of Extreme Frisbee.
There are many testimonies of demons being cast out and people being healed coming out of the ministry called Gospel for Asia. I saw K.P. Yohannon 2 weeks ago in Philadelphia. He testified of these signs and wonders among the poor and downtrodden.
Last year, 570000 were baptized in this ministry. All that were baptized were discipled for a month before they were baptized. Over 6000 Believer's churches were founded last year. Each of these churches have at least 50 people.
In Christ

So true, HE does love us! Just like he provided for Israel in the desert, their every need; He so wants to do that in each of our lives too.
Everyone's testimony is awesome! None is small, like DT said! If God is in it, then it ain't small!! (huge grin)
hi,i am very old and have seen and experienced many, many miracles.a dear friend of mine named gene was lost and on the road to eternal hell...he had t.b. so bad that one of his lungs was removed with three ribs... his other lung got full of t.b. and at 6ft 4in he weighed 124 and was dying when a friend brought him to a healing service here in louisiana.while in line he was asked if he believed and he said no and that he thought the preacher was the believer... the preacher who was famous and infamous for drunkedness said he did believe and laid hands on gene... gene went to the ground as if dead... when he got up he could breath... he went home and took off his shirt and looked down and the surgical scar was gone... he called the dr. also a friend and got checked out and told the three ribs that this same dr. removed were back in his body and that he had a new lung... also the other lung was clean.gene is alive and still preaching about this wonderful God that healed him body and spirit and soul...in mexico i stayed in the home of a great man named roger who was the prayer partner of bro danny ost... both were on the radio together thoughout mexico ... a gunman approached bro roger and shot him almost from a few feet away the bullet came out and stopped in mid air and fell at rogers feet...i could tell you of many many more... one more when bro len ravenhill was laid up in ireland after breaking his back...all who had cancer who were brought to his crippled body were healed of cancer... when he got out of the bed of sickness this annointing completly left...jimp
Wow...this is amazing stuff...I really do wish I can experience something like these things...or maybe I already have but I've been blinded, who knows...I hope God opens my eyes to see...keep em comin everyone!
In 1996 I was travelling in Madras, India, and was able to visit a Reinhart Boenke crusade. By virtue of the ministry we were travelling with, I sat on the platform a few feet from where Brother Boenke preached, to a sea of people...hundreds of thousands....you could not see the end of the crowd sitting 15 feet above it.
During his preaching, I heard a shout of joy by hundreds, like an echo, perhaps 7 or 8 hundred yards from the stage. It looked like a stone was thrown into a lake, and something was inching toward us on top of the water, like a lady bug.
As it neared, you could see that it was a round basket, about 3 feet in radius. There was a young girl in it.
A young girl, perhaps 12 , who was crippled from birth, felt life enter her legs. The basket was her travelling carriage; carried on the back by ropes, when she left the house. The crowd was hoisting the basket over their heads, and she floated on top of it, as each pair of hands moved her forward over their heads.
When she arrived at the stage, Boenke, reached out with his hand, and steadied her on the platform. she wobbled and shook, and her legs were about the diameter of a golf ball, with the knees larger, like baseballs. Her legs were a skeleton; but she was beaming. I'll never forget her. She stood , though shaky, for the first time ever.
Boenke then asked everyone to close there eyes, as he prayed. I said to myself; "I'm not going to miss this one!", and kept my eyes fixed on her, as he prayed.
As he did, I witnessed a swirl of movement around her legs, and then, as he finished, he took her hand, and began to slowly walk around the stage. as she walked, I noticed her legs more full, and then she began to skip, and then run, and then LEAP, with all of the grace and beauty of a ballerina, like a beautiful gazelle girl.
AS this was happening, her bones for legs changed, and well formed muscle adorned her thighs and calves...perfect strong and beautiful, perfect dancing legs appeared on this young lady.
The Crowd Roared and shouted, and some wept for joy. I was stunned, however, in unbelief, in WONDER! I literally could not believe my eyes.
As I watched, I saw something else. I saw an orb, like a full halo, about 3 feet around her...kind of in her, and around her at the same time. Inside of that orb, was a MAN, with loving eyes, longer hair, and a beard. It was no doubt the Son of Man. It was he who was the Master of ceremonies all along.
As she stood with the evangelist, beaming , she reminded me of an angel. Her complexion was slightly changed, into a rosy perfection, and her head appeared larger, her face mature and very beautiful. She had truly been touched by the Master. 5000 people came forward believing on Him, and more later through the evening.
I ministered to them throughout the night. It was one of those good nights...very rare. Jesus showed himself as Lord over nature, and the true Miracle worker.
Gee Brother Tom, you've seen things that I could only dream about.
Blessings
A nice lady at my old church had large tumors in her ovaries so surgery was scheduled but before the procedure they took xrays again and the tumors were gone. I have seen both sets of xrays and they are definitely gone. Praise the Lord. After much prayer the Lord saw it fit to bless her and act as the Great Physician and heal. Thank you Jesus!
Wow...this is amazing stuff...I really do wish I can experience something like these things...or maybe I already have but I've been blinded, who knows...I hope God opens my eyes to see...keep em comin everyone!
jdl: I am not assuming that you are in this situation, but I thought it worth mentioning.
I have often read and heard stories of great miracles and a longing has come up in my heart to experience these things. I don't think there is anything wrong with that longing. Our hearts ought to thrill and our faith rise up when we hear what our God has done.
The road to experiencing miracles, however, is not to be found in seeking to experience miracles. It is found in seeking to know the One through whom these miracles come. Miracles are one manifestation of God's ministry of love and compassion to the people who He loves and gave His life for. John 14:12 states clearly and unequivocally that God will work miracles through us as we are filled with His Holy Spirit. These works of ministry must come from God's heart and motive toward people. That is why we read what we do in 1 Cor. 13, sandwiched between 12 and 14. The motivation is God's kind of love.
I am really enjoying hearing these testimonies. Let the thread continue!!!
Of course, the greatest miracle is regeneration, making a sinner into a saint. It cost God more to be able to do that than it did for Him to create the whole universe.
Other than that, the Lord has done many wonderful things in front of my own eyes to the glory of His great name. If you want to read of just a few of the things I've seen here in Mexico, you can here: http://www.puregospeltruth.com/testimonies-of-healing-and-deliverance.html
We have to be careful however that we don't seek miracles, but rather seek first His Kingdom and righteousness. We shouldn't need miracles to give us faith. If that's the case, we are focusing on the wrong thing. We need to focus on Jesus. I share these testimonies because they give glory to HIM.
That's very moving, Tom.
That's what I want to see. I mean, that's Who I want to see. Not so much miracles, although it's wonderful to read of these things. But, oh, to see this One in our midst, the Son of man walking in the midst of the lampstands.
...How we need Him! I wish we could all awaken to see it is He who is indeed the "Master of Ceremonies" and Lord of the church, when we gather in His Name.
twayneb, thanks for the post...I guess the reason i want to experience these things firsthand is to kind of gain confidence, not just in faith, but in God actually caring about me, if that makes any sense...thanks again guys...hopefully there's more!
hi, the important thing to remember is that men cannot heal a gnats wing and great men will admit it. they are a conduit from God to the receiver of Gods gift.jimp
twayneb, thanks for the post...I guess the reason i want to experience these things firsthand is to kind of gain confidence, not just in faith, but in God actually caring about me, if that makes any sense...thanks again guys...hopefully there's more!
I don't want to sound trite, but He cared enough about you that He gave His only Son. Jesus cared so much that He gave His life and sent the Holy Spirit of God to baptize and to fill.
I do know how you feel though. There are times when we question whether God is personally concerned about us. We easily acknowledge His care for "mankind", but wonder if He will make it personal. It is a common doubt we are tempted with.
God is more concerned and cares more about you than you can imagine. Consider how much you care about the person who you care for the most, and that pales in comparison to God's personal concern for you.
Yes, when God moves in manifestation of power we do gain confidence. It is a faith builder. Wigglesworth sometimes opened meetings with what he termed "show and tell". He would make a rather bold statement that the first one to the stage would be healed. They always were. When asked why he did it, he replied that it was to raise the level of faith among the people so they could operate in faith toward God for whatever they needed.
Seek Him, love on Him, allow Him to love you and speak encouragement to you. Open His word and live on it. Let it minister to you. Draw near to Him. Trust me, the miracles will follow a man whose heart is after God's heart.

Hi everyone,
While I was out this morning I came across a man that I've talked with before. He is homeless and also has a severe physical disability. As we talked I thought about this thread.
I asked him what keeps him going day after day, living in the conditions that he does. He said it was his faith in Jesus. He said he had seen too much not to believe. I asked him about that.
What he related to me might not sound like something miraculous, but I suppose also that it depends on how you look at it.
For instance he said that at one point in his life he was legally blind( I think in one eye, and completely blind in the other) and that the doctors that he saw, who he said were highly qualified in their field, said he would never see again.
But he said his sight came back and that today, although he wears glasses, he only has a slight problem with one eye.
He related also that he was once paralised from the waist down, and again, the doctors said he would never walk again. But he does walk today.
I asked him about that, and if it was God that healed him? He said he thought it was more like God sent the right person to him.
He told me how one day he was at a certain place and a man stopped to talk to him. He said the man kept telling him that he could walk and he began to get very angry, because he thought the man was thinking that he was lying or faking his disability. But the man explained that that wasn't the case at all, but that he saw some movement in his toe and believed that he could eventually walk. If I recall it correctly the man worked in rehabilitation and they began to work together to get him to walk.
He said at one point for some reason they stopped(I think the man had to move or something) and up untill then he had only begun to crawl. He became very discouraged and decided he was going to give up. One day he happened to be at the same place they met and he suddenly decided that he could not give up. He had to continue, to walk, if even for this man that had made him believe he could.
He said that is how his life has been, especially since being homeless. That so many times, he would be determined to go one way, and all of the sudden he would change his mind, and go another, and often it would end up in him getting what he needed to go on. One time, it was a replacement for his broken glasses, he said.
Well, like I said, his stories that he told me might not sound miraculous, but I think it depends on how you look at it. And that seems to be how he took it also, as he said in so many words that there had been one set of footsteps these past twenty some years, as if to say it has been God that has carried him all the way.
Wish you all the very best always,
Chris
When I was pregnant for my fourth child I was experiencing tremendous searing pain in my back, from the nape of my neck to the base of my spine. I was in extreme pain and could not be on my feet for any length of time.
I was just beginning my walk as a Christian, and had been completely turned off by the first prayer meeting I had ever attended. There was going to be no more of that nonsense (casting out of demons...) for me.
Well I was invited to attend another meeting at a different location, to which I quickly said no thanks. Long story short...a brother in the Lord phoned me the day of the meeting, and said the Lord told him to call and encourage me to go to that meeting, and that I should especially consider going if I did not want to go. Well that just made no sense to me and besides my back was killing me.
At the last minute I felt this unction to go...did...and God healed me in that meeting. My back pain was the result of one leg being shorter than the other. As the Lord used His servant there to minister, giving him a word of knowledge, and the laying of hands I watched my leg extend to an equal length with my other leg. Praise God He knew that I, in my stubborn unbelief, needed this particular sign to reach me and open my heart to teach me.
I truly treasure the most in this experience being that God brought me to a place where He could draw me closer in His love for me through the sacrifice of His precious Son Jesus.
Aside from normal wear and tear my back has never in all these long years pained me again.
Love and Blessings in Christ,
BlessedChild
God worked what I would call a miracle just this past week in my life.
On Monday night I heard the still small voice telling me to go out and share the gospel in my neighborhood. Again Tuesday morning I heard the still small voice urging me to go. I told the Lord that tonight my daughter and wife would be going to a Girl Scout meeting and I would have to watch my sons so I asked the Lord if He could make a way to cancel the Girl Scout meeting then I would know for sure He wanted me to go tonight.
When I got home I didn't say anything to my wife or daughter other than to ask, "are you going to Girl Scout's tonight?" My wife responded, "yes". But not 15 minutes later the phone rang with the announcement that the meeting was canceled. My heart soared and I thanked the Lord for His intervention. Next, I realized I needed to pray for guidance as to where exactly I should be going in my neighborhood. The Lord led me to a street that I often walk down during my early morning prayer walks.
I started at a corner house on that street and went to several doors just telling people I was out sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and would you have a few minutes to talk? After about eight doors of "thanks but no thanks" I came to Annika's house. Annika is a woman of Eastern European decent around 70 years old. She was immediately receptive to my invitation to talk about Christ and told me that she was Catholic. I was able to share the love of Christ and His desire to walk with her in an intimate relationship. I spent an hour talking with this dear woman with joy and love in my heart. A blessed and miraculous experience indeed.
It is amazing what God will do if we just have a willingness to listen and then trust and obey His voice.
By the way, before saying a bedtime prayer with my daughter I told her the real reason behind the canceling of her meeting and she started hitting me with her pillow, "so, it was your fault!", she said. We had a good laugh and I told her to hit God with her pillow not me.
In Christ,
Ron
Everyone, these are all such amazing posts...I just need forgiveness because even after reading these things, I still get bombarded with doubts...deep down these testimonies tell me that there indeed is the one true God, but I guess it's just that I have no confidence in how He sees me...I feel left out...it's painful to think that God may have forgotten about me...I know God sent Jesus for us, and that's the best miracle of all...but for some reason though I just can't "grip" it...can't get it into my soul's bloodsream somehow, if that makes any sense...and it terrifies me that I'm making so light of the significance of His death...what a miracle it would be if God opened the eyes of my soul to see this!
By the way, does anyone know of any specific sermons where miracles of this nature are mentioned and testified to? Rookie, you mentioned in a post about K.P. Yohanns attesting to miraculous occurences in Africa...is there any sermon of his on here that I would be able to listen to about that?
Hi Jdl,
One of the things that I have felt to be so hurtfull is when I have seen people present the Gospel as though they are asking people to consider [b]if
I don't believe that the Lord Jesus or the Apostles ever did this.
Instead, I think they extended the offer of God to [b]anyone[b]everyone
John 7:37, Luke 14:23
Hungry and thirsty with you,
Chris
Hi JDL,
I wrote this piece called "The Tyrany of Insignificance." http://scottishwarriors.wordpress.com/2008/06/09/the-tyranny-of-insignificance/
It may help you understand what it truly means for a Christian to consider himself of little worth...........Frank
Anytime someone comes to saving faith in Jesus Christ is a miracle to me. Its a complete work of the Holy Spirit. I was once lost and now I am saved!!!
