Does anyone know of any schizophrenics being healed? I am diagnosed as one.

S
sermonindex

Hi Noah

I don`t know personally of one but I do know about people with schizophrenia which my sister and son had, having great relief/cure using various natural healing methods including change of diet. My view of healing my own condition which is Lyme Disease, is to do the natural healing while waiting for God to speed it up if He is kind enough to do so for me.

I am not suggesting stopping medication, but there are naturopaths who will advise about which therapies can help whilst slowly weaning with your doctors consent when symptoms lessen.

Here is one method

http://www.neuroassist.com/default.htm

It mentions psychotic illness as one condition it treats, using natural substances to assist the neurotransmitters. I am going to try this treatment myself.

Hello Noah,

I would draw to your attention the healing of Legion, even if your symptoms are dissimilar in some respects.

The thing that stuck me about Mark's account of it, is that despite all the spiritual opposition (and I realise schizophrenia is not merely spiritual), he was able to run to Jesus and worship Him. In other words, there is nothing about your condition which prevents you from seeking the Lord for healing, with the expectation that He is able, willing, and WILL minister to you.

I think it may depend upon the causes of your condition, how your healing proceeds, and what it looks and feels like on the inside to you, but I firmly believe that God desires to restore you to full mental health, and I KNOW that the life of God is well able to supply your needs. He is FULL of compassion.

Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing ALL manner of sickness and ALL manner of disease among the people. 24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him ALL sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; AND HE HEALED THEM.

Mark 5:1 - 19

The Lord sees the WHOLE real you, and knows every single invisible disconnection which is causing this condition in you in particular. If you have already received Him as Saviour and Lord, then He is already working to bring you mental health. Even, receiving a diagnosis and having a set of symptoms which you can pray for Him to heal, is a necessary stage, as He has allowed it to come to pass. He wants you to feel completely at home with Him, and this will develop as you seek Him. Don't be afraid to approach Him.

It is really important that you press through every objection your mind presents, to 'touch the hem of His garment' in each instance. I know some prayers cannot be put into words, but He hears them all, and He always responds somehow. Never imagine He has not answered. The brain is very finely tuned neuro-chemically, and if these are being adjusted by the Lord, then I believe 'time' may be an essential ingredient in HOW He has answered, and eventually you will be able to recognise what He has done.

Matthew 14:35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; 36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

The one last thing I feel to mention, is that if you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, never having acknowledged Him as Lord and Saviour, while He understands why you have not yet, there is strong connection in the New Testament account, of His healing people who IMMEDIATELY worshipped Him, recognising Him as God. Everything I said above, is based on the premise that you are willing to let Him deal with your whole life, holding nothing back from Him, that He may reveal to and through you, His power and intense desire to make you completely whole.

In the meantime, you should co-operate with your medical team's directions.

My view of healing my own condition which is Lyme Disease

Mind sharing these details?

F
flameoffire

I was born again and delivered from paranoid schizophrenia (this was not diagnosed in my situation because I resisted all professional help, but mental illness and schizophrenia has been diagnosed multiple times in my family).

My uncle was a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic, whose condition was also obviously spiritual. He dealt with demonic oppression and perhaps possession. His healing process was very very slow and perhaps never quite complete. He was heavily medicated and died in a car accident about a month after saying that he had found a place of peace. *edit* He always had a struggling relationship with the Lord Jesus.

I suffered from severe but undiagnosed mental illness, which was also obviously spiritual in nature. I had paranoia, depression and utter hopelessness and repetitive, tormenting voices. I suffered from repetitive dreams where I saw demons and Satan and they spoke to me. At the climax of these experiences I humbled myself before God, and after 18 hours of conviction and a stripping away of my self and identity Jesus came into my heart in a visceral undeniable way. I loved God so much, so suddenly I was overcome from the inside out. It was like night was day. I was born again. Christ lives in me and the love that He placed in my heart that day burns on even brighter today.

I never took medication or any kind of treatment. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free Galatians 5:1. There is a difference between mental illness and mental weakness. I still deal with mental and emotional weakness, which has molded me into the man God wants me to be. I have had to freak out with Jesus and spend hours taking my weakness to Him. I rely on Him every day for my emotional and mental health. It's a beautiful place to be.

I am praying for your healing and deliverance.

Amen! to "flameoffire" - how beautiful, the testimony of Jesus! Glory to GOD!

Yes, of course He can heal.

He can heal bleeding ulcers, brain tumors, cancer, leprosy - so "mental" illness is an easy one compared to what we've seen our GOD heal.

In many cases that diagnosis is nothing more than someone struggling with an inner "conflict".

Just to give one case, that was helped by just a secular Dr who believes more in Talk therapy than "meds" - he tells about this young lady in college who suddenly began to hear the nagging voice. Come to find out - she wanted to go into a different career field - but her parents pressured her heavily to study for a field that she wanted no part of but was burning out in her studies to please her parents, very much against where her heart wanted to be and to be studying for that.
As soon as she and her parents counseled together and they saw it was wrong to take away this girls dream and she switched courses - the "conflict" stopped in her mind and so did the voices.
This same Doc gave many other case histories over this inner conflict scenario.
Sometimes it's spiritual, sometimes it's not.

Lay it before The Master and we'll all be praying with you.
Don't just 'accept' that "label" because it has as well been proven to be much over-used, so don't think you have no other recourse but a life of "meds". GOD wants us mentally free, clear, lucid, useable, and so forth and will do all to help you find the cause of this distress - but no condemnation for what you're going through now - but just seek wisdom through prayer and by talking with Christians who Love and care about you. Don't tatoo that "label" permenently on yourself. See it as a very temporary nuisance only. Some people desire mental disabilities to avoid some or other responsibilities. Stay open to what other causes, such as those given, may be the key to freedom, and that GOD Given sound mind in our King of Love, Jesus!
Keep the Hope for Help from Above! Amen!?!

Praying with Hope with all the others, with you.
In His Wonderful Love for His children - we stand 'Grateful'!

W

Amen to that statement.

Point to the recent case of Baby Joseph. The hospital in Canada wanted to remove him from life support because his 'condition' had a bad prognosis. His parents wanted a tracheotomy performed so they could take him home without a ventilator. The hospital refused. He was rescued to a hospital in the USA, got the tracheotomy went home and is doing much better than expected.

If his parents had accepted the original "label" he would have been starved to death.

Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

I do not remember if the original poster said they followed Jesus but that is the KEY.

Praying for them,

Ginny and Krautfrau,

There is a doctor in Louisiana who had Lyme's himself and treated himself and was cured. He is a born-again Christian and has a very good success rate with other Lyme's patients.

PM if you want his name.

Noah, my brother-in-law was a big time drug user in his late teens and early 20s. Drugs rendered him fairly passive as he opened himself up to the powers of darkness. He got into many kinds of drugs, and becamed very scared of demonic dreams, manifestations and voices. Through the drugs and his ignorance of the powers of darkness he opened himself up to the Enemy and became schizophrenic. In his case he has multiple demonic possession. The State mental institution (which knows nothing about the spiritual) has put him on strong drugs like Haldol which pretty much dopes him up so that the voices are quiet. He still has fear and other issues.

His mother, who is a born-again is a big time enabler and protecter of him as she will not let anyone minister to him (for 20 years) but that is another story.

I have wanted him to go off the drugs so the demons would manifest themselves and then deliverance could begin, however the mother has been the roadblock. It is also important that he gets off the drugs so that his will is not so doped up.

In his case, the possession is through abuse of drugs and the occult (he got involved in the occult). He was born-again at age 15, and then through peer pressure in a Christian school, he was introduced to marijuana. He wants Jesus and wants to be free, but for now, he needs to get free from a controlling mother.

It is a sad story that has hurt the family because the mother has no time for her daughters or grandchildren and that is a whole story in itself.

We keep praying and interceding for a breakthrough with the Mom.

The first thing that a professional does is get a history on a 'patient'. Without getting that history - the counselor would be a quack.

The age of a person would be first. If you're dealing with a minor - any counsel given would hold you more libel than if they were not a minor, if your counself is off the wall.

A background history would be next - and plenty of it - even family history.

Also, in these days of pre-fab food, even the diet of a person should be noted, because there are many "neuro-toxins" in today's food and from other sources.

If we're going the Christian counseling route - the background of the person's relationship with Christ is absolutely essential and needs to be in detail as well.

Their present environment needs to be known.
Their activities and past times and hobbies and habits, etc.

There is so much that goes into counseling, that could never take place on a thread on a forum - or at least - has not taken place on this thread.

There are many factors that could cause this type of mental anguish in a person but some will go off into stories of "possession" immediately and although I'd rather handle those type disputes privately, this is not the time for privacy.

Unless you are well educated with every possible cause of this type infirmity - it would be wise - considering the repercussions of faulty counsel - to advise the person to see someone, face to face, that is in a "sound" reputatable ministry.
Many Pastors have a good working knowledge in sound counseling and that is what should be advised.
Some people are even hyper-sensitive to electronics, as you can read about in Science Journals.

Unless a person is aware of every and any cause of such an infirmity and personally aware of the complete history on a person - it's best again, to just advise the person to seek help from a sound Christian Counselor who understands every aspect of the multiple possibilities of the cause of this or any other thought problem.

Better a millstone be tied around the neck ... etc ... than to give anyone incorrect counsel - especially any counsel that is not found in His Word...
That could have multiple repercussions, not only to the person afflicted themselves but potentially from the family of the troubled person and from GOD or the others mentioned, to the counselors themselves.

Counseling of this nature cannot be done on a forum and those who broad-brush every phenomena had better think again about their hypothesis or one-sided spiritual dx.

Noah has our prayers that he will seek sound counsel from a grounded Christian in his area who is well up-to-date in his knowledge of this particular infirmity.

Amen Noah, you have our prayers and support Noah. We pray His Eternal Peace for you and yours and the revelation of His Promises to those who love Him, from His Word.
GOD Bless you with Hope!

Hello Brenda,

Would you mind sharing the various natural means you are using to combat Lymes Disease? I would appreciate anyone else who has had it or has it and is using natural means to fight it. I know it affects the whole system (circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, etc, etc).

Hi Julius

I am working on building up the body through fresh organic foods, but have had a bit of a setback after finding I have B2 deficiency due to taking a B complex and cutting down dairy. I am also using frequency therapy which is mainstream in some parts of Europe, herbs such as Samento, and looking for other means. I have been investigating correcting the methylation cycle too.

Hi Brother Julius. There are a few strains of Lyme. [no 's']
Do you or someone you know have Lyme? If so - what are the primary symptoms?

One thing that I can suggest is from a company named - WonderLabs, found on the net. They have "Vitamin C Crystals" - pure ascorbic acid with no additives at all. Their own brand name products have no inert ingredients - which is great for anyone with a compromised immune system because that makes them more prone to chemical sensitivity.
This vitamin C can be mixed in water and will taste like lemonade. Start with a 1/4 teasp and work up to at least a teaspoon, and take with meals.

A study released in 2005 said that the researchers found that Lyme is not just bacterial, but also viral & fungal, making it very difficult to treat - and besides there can be co-infections with other vector born diseases.
My brother got the Lyme vaccine but almost died from one of these co-infections.

As of 2005, there is also another strain of Lyme that wasn't around as long as the others.
Basically, there were 3 types that were out there since the 80's - 1, the flu-like symptoms - 2, arthritis - 3, neurological. This more recent strain is causing blindness.

If long term antibiotic treatment hasn't cured someone who's had Lyme for a while - there isn't much that can be done except build up the immune system and just treat it symptomatically. There's some good Lyme websites that you could find in a Search. Even forums where you can get lots more info.

GOD Bless and I pray it's not you or anyone you know that has it.

Thank you FLAMEOFFIRE for bringing much needed balance that is sadly lacking in both this and the "Explosive Anger" topics.

I know how difficult it can be to remain in faith, and not start to lean on the "world" during trials/tests/afflictions. Sometimes the "facts" parade like Goliath of old and the people of the "world" seems so confident in the systems of "flesh" that they have erected in their independence and defiance of God.

But God alone is our help, rock and fortress. Eventually every other "help" will fail us, but God never fails.

Here are some warnings to us who wants to get help from the "world" or even the "natural".

2 Kings 18:21 Look now, you are depending on Egypt, that splintered reed of a staff, which pierces a man's hand and wounds him if he leans on it! Such is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who depend on him.

Isaiah 36:9 How then can you repulse one officer of the least of my master's officials, even though you are depending on Egypt for chariots and horsemen?

Isaiah 30:3 But Pharaoh's protection will be to your shame, Egypt's shade will bring you disgrace.

Isaiah 31:1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the LORD.

Jeremiah 17:5 This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD.

Jeremiah 46:25 The LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "I am about to bring punishment on Amon god of Thebes, on Pharaoh, on Egypt and her gods and her kings, and on those who rely on Pharaoh.

Ezekiel 29:6&7 Then all who live in Egypt will know that I am the LORD. "'You have been a staff of reed for the house of Israel.
When they grasped you with their hands, you splintered and you tore open their shoulders; when they leaned on you, you broke and their backs were wrenched.

Ezekiel 29:16 Egypt will no longer be a source of confidence for the people of Israel but will be a reminder of their sin in turning to her for help. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign LORD.

Dear Krautfrau

What I am asking in general is, WHERE is your faith?

With your personal situation, I sense that you are not convinced that Our Father wants to heal you, right now. If I look at the way Jesus revealed the Father to us, and considering how I would feel when one of my daughters is struck by a disease ... I would see that disease as an impostor, a perpetrator, an affliction from satan, a vulgar stain on a glorious daughter of God. Not a neutral "label" or name that I accept or tolerate. Sometimes we stand too apathetic towards the works of the devil, not recognizing or acknowledging it's origin and provided cure (it's crucifixion with Christ)- dearly paid for by Jesus.

Jesus healed people that yielded to His Lordship, and believed that He is WILLING an ABLE to heal them. Unfortunately this has to go beyond “head” knowledge, to faith.

Sometimes our Father does not heal, but we should see that as the exception and not the rule.

What I would recommend before all these other options is –
Enquiring of God, fasting, repentance, confession, forsaking of sin, anointing and prayer by the eldership and fellow believers, deliverance, worship etc.

Dear Joch,

I am not Krautfrau but I cannot believe that you just said that!

No one believes more in healing and miracles that I do (along with you) but I also know that eating right clears up a LOT of our problems! I fear that many Christians die before their time because they are not willing to change their dietary habits, the topic five or more illnesses and cancers can be helped if people would just change their eating and social behaviors.

What I would recommend before all these other options is –

Why can't eating healthy be included in that list?

I became sick at 5 months old when a doctor gave me medication containing 50% mercury and I was admitted into hospital and nearly died. Did I not show enough faith to get healed when I did not recover completely but was left with damage?

I became worse when my father brought home mercury in a jar for his school age daughter to play with.

I became worse still when my home was sprayed with pesticide due to the previous tenants.

Then later, at age 50 a tick bit me and I did not get a diagnosis for 10 years when I went to a private doctor instead and too late for treatment.

I have survived by only eating healthy foods and politely turning away from the junk served at Christian events.

Not once have I believed that the Lord could not heal me but I dont sit around waiting for it and doing what a lot of Christians do and not eat the foods from the field in a raw organic state. And leaders fail to tell them to do this, instead they say what you say `believe and you will be healed`.

My concern is that I bring joy to my Lord and spread the message of holiness. The rest I leave to Him.

You are talking tripe sir.

This is almost identical to my own story. I was mentally ill and tormented by evil spirits which were resident in me. I was in psychiatric counsel without medication, but to no avail. I sought to kill myself, too. I had a wonderful encounter with Christ delivering me from sin and saving me. It was only a few weeks later when a team of Christians prayed for me that they discovered that something was wrong with me. They confronted the demons and they spoke out of my mouth and pushed me on the floor. It took a couple of prayer sessions to drive them all out. At the end I got gloriously filled with the spirit and instantly cleared of my mental illness.

Krautfrau,

Thanks Julius

I am not vegetarian. By food from the field, I was thinking of animals too.

I am taking B12 thanks, and in the active form ie methylcobalamin as the other forms, can not be easily converted into a bioavailable form by those with similar problems to mine found in chronic ill health.

I was taking a B complex but found out that it was depleting my vitamin B2 - riboflavin, so much that I became deficient so have now stopped it and take B2 and B12 only.

Many people are deficient and I did not have the typical signs like sore mouth but starting to take it, and at the same time, stopping other supplements which were interfereing with absorbtion of B2 have made a remarkable difference in a short space of time.

Trekker, I'd love to watch these videos - as soon as I can get a strong enough signal here.
In the meantime, I'd like to address jochbaptist on his post regarding what he had said about the other thread regarding the brother that has experienced PTSD.

We had a Brother on this forum that was an incredible Pastor. He blessed many of us beyond what words could tell.
In VietNam, this kind hearted man not only was shot, but saw things that anyone with a conscience would find severely traumatic and thus he too had suffered with PTSD. Granted, he was much younger while in Nam than he was while posting here. He's in Heaven now Rejoicing in HIS Presence.

I don't believe that people understand what it would be like to have a strong conscience and then to find yourself in an environment where there's No Escaping - where you are exposed to people with Zero Conscience and to visually and mentally be exposed to things and actions that the mind has never conceived of - of violence, immorality and cruelty beyond a 'good' person's ability to assimulate or even the time for any "getting a grip" because these abominable activities are happening so fast and steady that the mind cannot Accept what it's seeing, hearing, feeling and so forth.

I'm saying this because a day may come to all of us when we may actually live through such and end to our lives.

IF GOD allows some of us to go through these things in advance - we are now equipped by 'experience' to help others when 'their' time comes.
It did nothing but make this Brother whom I brought up at the beginning of this post, but make him very tender toward others that were hurting and a powerful Preacher BECAUSE "ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD for those that LOVE The LORD and ARE 'called' according to HIS PURPOSE."

and he was able to "comfort others, wherewith he had been comforted."

Watchman Nee wrote - that you CANNOT minister to others as efficiently, unless you've been in their shoes before.

There's much more that I'd like to say - for instance - about Joni Eareckson Tada and others that - when they got saved - Prayed that GOD would pour them out as drink offerings for others, No Matter the COST and I could give a number of testimonies of people that prayed that way and all Hades-on-earth broke out in their lives after dedicating themselves through that specific prayer. Even great men of GOD that lost their minds for a year and others that lost their health in other ways, besides losing material things - but afterwards - became some of the greatest ministers this world has ever been blessed by, Because of all that The LORD allowed them to go through [like Job] to make them true ministers of compassion and Sincere empathy to those that crossed their paths.

Unless we have empathy and see that GOD's ways are not our ways and that He can and does use these experiences to build SAINTS that are pliable in His Hands - AS His Hands extended to a hurting world - when chaos breaks out around us - if we have been lacking in the 'empathy' dept - we will not be able to deal with what may come in the future and as Daniel said, "even those of understanding shall fall, to try them, and purge them and make them white" ... in other words - Give them the compassionate "Mind of Christ" where they quit "leaning on 'their own' understanding".

Thanks for listening!

"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain/receive mercy."

They used to call it "shell-shock" before they renamed it PTSD.

If Christians don't care or have mercy on these military or other severely traumatized folk, who will?

Mat 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

T
Trekker

I spent much of my life with PTSD. It really is a matter of degree; it is on a continuum. Mine certainly was not nearly as bad as that of these soldiers coming back, nor as bad as even other children. In my mind, PTSD is a combination of perfectly normal physical-mental adaptation to one's traumatic environment and also a spiritual condition. Unfortunately I think that we simply must concede that there are some things that man cannot cure nor treat adequately, only the Lord can heal them (sometimes He does not). And when i say this i am thinking even of a CHRISTIAN soldier who came back and despite turning to the Lord (and to doctors) finally was driven to suicide a few years ago. Stories like these weigh heavily on me.

I think we would also be naive to think that devils DON'T take advantage of a man's trauma and exploit it to all it's worth....

S
sermonindex

Tough subject, isn't it?
I sympathize with you and will be praying. I only had a year of it and the recovery was a time of growing in the LORD. Managed to recover without meds and all the Glory goes to Him and someone close to me that strongly recommended that I not take them. He was right.
Antidepressants can be fatal, in that we've all heard that it can cause a person to want to commit suicide. I'd be interested to know if that was what this soldier was on. As soon as I began to recover, the first thing that I wanted to do was help others because I was so very grateful to The LORD for allowing me to recover, And, showing me that it was for His Glory and purposes.
Jesus lived for others-only-always and that's all I wanted to do, by His example. Also later found out that, that is the best medicine the mind could ever take part in. I founded a volunteer help org for my town's people, feeling that if each town took care of their own - we can only imagine the good it would do. Getting our eyes off of self is just part of the normal Christian life besides ... but the health benefits are beyond anything that this world can offer for help.
Learning to take every thought captive is also very important.

I know you're right about the enemy loving to kick us all when we're down. Even when I physically don't feel well - that's the day the enemy will use a family member. We're not ignorant of his devices - but the enemy sure loves to catch us when we're off guard and hit with sucker punches - shocker stratagies .... Yet, I believe Romans 8:28 with all of my heart and know that GOD uses Everything to make us stronger and for us to use these "all things" to be formed into His image and to be used to help others, as a result. Eyes off-of self is truly the best medicine that The LORD exampled for us by His Life on earth.

I did so much research on anti-depressants that I wouldn't recommend them to anyone and not under any circumstances.
There is another alternative that Drs could prescribe - but they work too well and don't keep you under the money making big-pharma and the system that seems to see humans as guinea pigs or fun to test things on. How many drugs have had to be pulled off of the shelf, just within the last 20 yrs. And who would have ever thought that they would drug children without parental consent. Giving them amphetamines when hyper-activity is more a nutritional and parenting deficit.
The "chemical imbalance" theory has already been proven to be a fraud. That's why I'm so grateful to that Marine Psychiatrist that told me about the better way.
I'd say that soldier that you wrote about, did Not receive the help that should have been there for him. By and large - those treating people for these things are using very faulty methods, to put it mildly and the help that has been known about since the 60's doesn't keep the patient dependent on the Dr nor the drug. We talked about this on another thread.

Thank GOD that we have His Word that does renew/heal minds - as well as He Himself and the example He gave, that no matter how we're feeling - to think of others that have it so much worse than we do and do something about it. He blesses that because that's His Nature, exactly. That's what He did by becoming our Passover Lamb.
'Greater love hath no man than this ....'

GOD Bless you, Trekker!

Do you believe all mentally ill people should not take medications? I believe medications do help people. I used to think medications were against God. Now I think they do in fact help people... but that in cases of deliverance God can heal fully and people then should come off medications. See James Stacey from and his Schizophrenia Defeated web site.

Looking back I see how unstable I have been off medications. However there was a spiritual side to what was going on along side of it.

My family says how stable I've been the last 2 years while staying on meds. I've held a part time job for a year. I myself believe I have been more stable. But the underlying stuff my family doesn't see: less rebelling against God, more submission, more merciful, more humbled. These the meds have nothing to do with that part.

What I really struggle with is trusting God. I feel He's trying to hurt me when He disciplines/humbles me. I grumble. I complain. Intellectually I know He's good and is doing this for my good.

I want that humble, smooth-to-his-will, heart that weeps for nations and peoples and neighbors. I KNOW he wants that for me! In fact this morning He asked me to humble myself and weep/mourn/cry over my sin and other's. He says He will hear my prayer for others who are in sin if I weep for them. You know, like a saints heart. Like Paul's heart. I've seen glimpses of it but I'm afraid because I'm so unworthy of such goodness.

S

Hi Noah. Are you saying that you've been on them for two yrs straight? It's hard to answer unless I knew which meds that you're on - but no one should go off meds cold turkey and without professional backing and assistance. Psychotropics - if you're on more than one type, needs special care and knowledge about the drugs you're on.

On the first page of this thread, I related how Dr. William Glasser found that the majority of people diagnosed with what you are saying that you are being diagnosed with, finds that, the person is "in conflict" between two opposing realities, so to speak.

It's not that easy, as I said on page two, to counsel over a thread because there's so much history that needs to be gathered. Like when did your problem start. The symptoms. How long have you been born-again. What you experienced the day you were 'saved' and since.

We have a bit of the 'since' part. You've recently posted that you "tried the love way" - but feel that you are lacking "the fear of God to quit sinning". Next, in this post above, you write that you're 'struggling with trusting God - feeling that He's trying to hurt you when He disciplines/humbles you." Those two seperate posts alone is definitely a conflict.

I'm not sure if your view of GOD's Nature is right on track because of what I've quoted above. I'd say that what you need more than anything, is a good Christian counselor. One that is more inclined toward Biblical Counseling than psychology.

Most psychiatrists these days don't do much talk-therapy - they charge the same but just ask - "How's those meds working for you?". If you say, "Not so good.", they just pull out their prescription pad and either increase the dosage or add another drug or switch drugs and that's it. I used to go to a forum and talk with the folks under psychiatrists and the stories I heard were almost identical.

Even a good sound Pastor could help you tremendously to at least come to peace with your standing with GOD.

I'm happy that you have a burden to intercede for others. You should never feel "unworthy" of having a burden for others. That's just our "reasonable service" and you need not see that as a "goodness" to fear. Without Him, none of us have an ounce of 'goodness' in us, but Him. It's all of Him - even your burden and your prayers. We can't take any credit for whatever good we do - but He does love a cheerful giver of themselves. [2Cor 9:7]
If you read Rom 8:28 with 29, you see that 'all things' are working toward bringing us into His Image. That's wonderful to know - GOD certainly never wants "to hurt" us, ever. All things work together for our good and that good is being conformed to the Image of Christ. Not saying all our experiences are pleasant - but sometimes the enemy can attack and tell us it's GOD that's hurting us. We need to learn discernment, day by day and year by year.

I truly do pray that you can find a good, mature, and doctrinally sound Christian to talk with in your area. Having the right view of GOD and how He deals with His children seems to be the most important thing that you need right now and not to focus so much on where you're lacking - but you can try to examine these 'conflicts' that I quoted of you above from your two seperate threads.

Remember He loves you and desires to prosper you spiritually, give you health and a fruitful life - not hurt you.

Will be praying that you find a good Pastor or Biblical counselor to talk things out with.

GOD Bless you!!
