Thread on TV?

Some time ago someone posted a parable concerning the dangers of inviting the TV into the home. I am at a loss in remembering the title. I did a search in the topics index but did not find it there. Anyone know its title? If you do know, would you bump it up to the top?

Not sure about the thread, but here are some to start over from.

There are four articles here

I think this the best of the four

Is this a discipline like other things that have the potential to be abused or is it a form of idolatry?

Old_Joe, "The Stranger" definitely DOES NOT EDIFY. That was very good.

Two Holy Ghost principles of LIFE (there are more):

1. Do not be brought under the power of anything except the Holy Spirit.

2. All things DO NOT EDIFY.

1Co 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I WILL NOT BE BROUGHT UNDER THE POWER OF ANY.

1Co 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, BUT ALL THINGS EDIFY NOT.

Joe,

"The Stranger" is the article I was looking for. I used that title and searched SI and found that Greg had posted it earlier.

The reason I wanted it is because I wanted to share it with a sister....

Thanks for your assistance.

God bless.

When "The Stranger" was written, people were not aware of the tools waiting to be introduced in the near future. Like the internet, cell phones and their cousins.

I have a loved one who became so obsessed with her blackberry that she abandoned her family for texting and who knows what all. She has gone a whoring - including other males. And it all began with little white lies and progressed from there. Sad. Tragic.
