Saints,
This is a great way to receive encouraging quotes on your phone on "almost" a daily basis. It is very simple to have this happen:
Text follow sermonindex to 40404 in the United States
The SermonIndex Twitter account is here: http://twitter.com/sermonindex
I encourage brothers and sisters to do this if you feel led to stay connected to this ministry and to be edified and also in prayer for SermonIndex as a reminder.

Prerequisite Steps:
1) If you are not logged in to Twitter, log in. If you do not yet have a Twitter account, register to get an account.
2) If your Twitter is not yet set up to receive text messages to your mobile phone, modify your profile Settings with parameters for sending text messages to your mobile phone.
Next Steps:
1) Go to http://twitter.com/#!/sermonindex
2) If you are not yet following SermonIndex, select the Follow button to follow SermonIndex.net
3) Just to the right of the button that says "Following", there is a small, round, icon that resembles a mobile phone. 4) Select the icon to activate tweets to be sent as text messages to your mobile phone.
5) Confirm that you have activated text messages from sermonindex to be sent to your phone. The small icon to the right of the "Following" button will be green (rather than white) after texts are activated.
Thank you brother for going through those steps for people.
But does it not just work if you are on your mobile phone and "txt" 40404 in the United States ?
Has anyone tried to just simply:
Text follow sermonindex to 40404 in the United States
and has that worked?
Text follow sermonindex to 40404 in the United States and has that worked?
It works..
Even if your phone is not activated on Twitter yet. It will activate it straight from your phone just by typing "follow sermonindex" to the phone number 40404
wow tremendous! does it send you a "first" tweet? ie the last one I put up?
and do you need a twitter account before to see this work?
does it send you a "first" tweet? ie the last one I put up?
Yes it did!
and do you need a twitter account before to see this work?
I am not sure about this one.
Yes, that works. It both follows the user and activates text message for new tweets from that user in a single, simple step.
Tremendous. I hope many users of SI do this and find it profitable to receive provoking quotes to their phones from time to time.
Its great to hear this is working well for many.
