Renouncer and Lloyd have strong points, Paula. We all need to pray for discernment these days, more than ever, and most of our discernment comes from His Word.
"Jesus Christ the same, yesterday, today and forever."
He doesn't just show up in power for just three days. His power is ever present and He will heal whomever He chooses, whether through the gifts or by Himself alone, anytime. No where in His Word does He say that He will only show up in power for just a few days.
We will need to be found in Him and need His power everyday to get through the days ahead and faithful unto the end.
There is much going on this month and many are being swayed in several different directions because of these events. Please go to His Word and pray for Him to speak through it, about Himself. He said "Behold, I have told you all things", regarding these days and a three day special visitation isn't how He operates, nor does He need radio or whatever else type of technology to move. The last verses in Joel 2 are not by technology and not just for a limited amount of days or dependent on certain humans only to perform it.

Paula, in order for everyone to be healed of diseases on a mass scale like that the Church of Jesus Christ would have to be equipped with the gifts of the Spirit and that is not going to be done in a weekend, that is out of God's character to perform such an act. The Holy Spirit works through His body to perform the miraculous.

Jesus was one man on the earth, but He told His disciples that they would do greater works because He was going to the Father, which means that He would shed His flesh that was hindering Him from doing a greater work in and through His people. More people to whom the Holy Ghost can work through meant more opportunity to minister and heal.

God works through His body Jesus Christ to whom we are all apart. We all have giftings and callings some of those gifts are instantedly given others are desired and sought for. Callings can be instant while others are given later on the journey.

One of the most important truths that you need to learn in your walk and I hope you can allow this to be absorbed into your thinking and that is, God is not in a hurry to get things done.

We are and we think that because of the way the world is going we think that God is moving faster and hurrying to make sure everyone gets saved as if He was on some time clock. God is not!

There have been many earthquakes in the ages past and killed many and devasted cities and lives.

I mentioned this in another post that in 1896 that was over 100 years ago and in the same spot an earthquake and Tsunami hit the japenese coast and killed 26,000 people.

A few years later in 1906 the illustrious city of San Francisco was totally leveled by a deadly earthquake.

I do not doubt that such an earthquake will come to the eastern part of the United States or any part of it. David Wilkerson prophecied that an earthquake would occur in the United States that is not known as having any earthquakes. But he didn't mention where. It was wise of him to not mention dates, times and where.

Be careful and be not deceived, for some of us have travelled that road your on now, it's our advice that you repent and shake yourself from this man that sets times and dates which is unscriptural.

By her own testimony on another thread the sister has been to China twice to share the gospel. She has gone on her own. Those of you sitting in judgement what have you done lately for Christ? I mean what have you done to advance his kingdom purposes.

Personally I don'r think I would have the courage to go to a restricted nation and do what this sister did and we judge her because of what she posted. Alright it may have been out of line with our theology. But as I recall the good sanaritan had flakey theology and yet he practiced the second great commandment.

Revival is occurring in parts of the world whose theology is not Calvinistic. God is using people who are the most unlikely candidates to spread his gospel. He is looking.for hearts who are committed to him. Not heads full of theology.

It's not a works campaign. I can give you a list of plenty of people who have done even "greater" things supposedly for the gospel, or for whatever other reason they did them. Doesn't mean a thing.

Angelic visitations are New Testament, I don't have a problem with that. Prophesying the exact date of Christ's return is also New Testament. Except the New Testament doesn't agree with it, thus neither do I.

Take s look st the sheep and goats of Nat.25. What was it that commended them before Jesus. In Luke 10 the good sanaritan who probably had some whacky theology practiced the second great commandnent by ministering to the assaulted victim. He was commended by Christ. This victim who was assaulted was past by the doctrinally pure of his day, a priest and a Levite.

I am sure that you look at Mother Theresa anf consign her to hell because of her Catholicism. Yet she was quoted as saying her works of compassion for the poor were done out of a heart love for Jesus. So she may not have had the finer points of her theology in line with ours. If she or any other person confessed Christ and believed in him. If their testimony emulated the second great commandment who are we to say they were not saved.

I read of those, Catholic, Orthodox, anf Protestant who willingly spill their blood for Christ and give their lives for his kingdom. I will not judge their hearts as their actions speak for themselves.

Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses also claim Christ. Muslim's take Him as one of their own too. But those, just like Catholics don't confess the true Christ, and all of their works for Him are in vain.

We have to be consistent with this if we're going to speak this way. Not everyone is going to be 100% in their doctrine while alive, but they can be solid on the essentials of the faith. There are little issues, and then there are BIG ones. As a member of the RCC she paid homage to a living anti-Christ (the pope), and devalued the sacrifice of Christs blood as not being enough for sins, believing that others would do penance in purgatory for theirs (along with a slew of other things probably better left for another thread). Did you even read the horrific thing she said about her "ministry" that I posted below?

She wasn't interested in sharing Living Water. She was just interested in getting the dying more accustomed and proficient at drinking the poison already killing them.

I'm working in Japan as a missionary right now. What if I were to say that I wasn't interested in actually making disciples of Christ, but wanted instead to make the Japanese into better Buddhists, Shintoists, and Atheists? My testimony and "mission work" would be an utter and disgraceful joke. The only prayers on this board for me would be to save me, or get me out of Japan.

The Buddhists in my area have better actions to judge by than all of these put together, and they also think Jesus was a pretty rad dude. Shall we let them in the club too, eh?

Stephen your so right, what a shame.

The only thing that I can say about her is if her heart was in the earning, then she has fallen from grace. But if her heart was the type of "here I am Lord and I am doing what I am doing because you said to tend the suffering", only God can sort out the finer details and we can only speculate.

But as to "I believe that Mother Teresa is saved". Let me say this, it doesn't matter what we believe. People believe that Elvis is singing love me tender around God's throne. People see the good of what men do and we can't get beyond the idea that God could send them to hell.

Martyr, I am currently reading the history of the reformation. What a history indeed, rich and enlightening. Did you know that the Catholic Church killed people just because they had a bible in their home or worse, desired to read it.

She is no different today. She is in stealth mode. She goes about appearing to be friendly, appearing to be like everyone else, so that when our senses are dull we can't tell who is of the truth and who is not because we have allowed these cults to sneak into our lives through good works, through cunning words that sound evangelical.

Any person that I know who has come to Jesus Christ by faith has left those cults. They don't stay in it, they don't stay deceived, they get out. A former JW doesn't return to the slop pen after Christ has revealed Himself to them, they get out. A Mormon seeing that Jesus is the only way doesn't sit under that.

Come on, lets stop drinking the kool-aid and get with the program. When Paul was set free from killing Christians, He didn't go back to the high priest looking for orders to kill more Christians.

While there we heard stories of healings that take place on a regular basis through GFA missionarirs. These miracles lead to conversions in Christ. I recieve literature regularly through Gospel for Asia. Aleays there is a story about someone who has been healed or delivered and come to Christ. And guess what? These healings are not reported in the press. You eould not know they took place unless they were reported by GFA.

I read reports about what God is doing in other parts of the world in connection with the persecuted church. This stuff is never reported in the press and you would mock it if it were. Thus I want mention it. You would not believe it. And that is the issue. You who mock do not believe. If you be honest you believe that miracles disappeared when the Bibke was codified.

Even in the days of Christ his miracles were repudiated. As the sister said it is the poor who are rich in faith. Those of you in your arrogant mocking will never see revival occur in this land. Jesus could not do any miracles in his hometown because of the lack of faith

Thats unfortunate that you are so judgemental. The more I insist that we follow the Bible in everything, the more wound up you seem to get. Sorry to tell you, but the Bible is THE final authority on everything... and that means...

The prophecies that were espoused at the beginning of this thread did not happen, failing the Biblical and logical test of a prophet. Rather than admit the mistake, the prophecy was then back tracked and down graded to make it look like something happened. Thats called deception, i.e. lying.

We called it what it was, and you claim that it is mocking. No, it's called proclaiming the truth. I do mock the false prophet she follows. "Where is your god? Is he on vacation?"

The Bible tells us to "test the spirits". So we have. You cry foul and claim we should give her fellowship. I say no. A little leaven ruins the whole lump.

That does not mean we reject her as a person and condemn her. NO ONE has done that. We should show her the error of her ways. We have done that. Instead of truly help her by showing her her error you claim we should overlook it and just love her. I say that’s not love!

Instead… you condemn me… for declaring the truth of the Word of God.

That’s backwards, brother. I dare say it’s also sinful. It's certainly not Biblical love, and your beef ultimately is not with me...

You should take the time to get to know me. You may find out (as others have on here) that you might like me.

Some want to embrace all... regardless of what sin a person refuses to repent of, or what false doctrine a person wants to infiltrate the church with.

Paul says just the opposite.

To the unrepentent in the church Paul says to cut them off and treat them as a heathen.

To the one who brings division thru false doctrines Paul says to "mark and avoid" them.

Two reasons: to protect the church, and to hopefully bring the offender to their senses.

Today we think we know better than the Holy Spirit did when He wrote those things thru Paul.

How prideful we have become.
