Is it ironic that the Rebublicans are meeting in Tampa this coming week to nominate a man out of a Satanic cult to be tbeir presidential candidate. And a hurricane is coming toward Tampa?

Why would God inflict injury or possible death with a Hurricane on millions of innocent, folks just to take out one? There are probably a lot of Christians in those millions also, is it ironic? not to me, it's Hurricane season, and Hurricanes are what happens during Hurricane season. What we all that believe in the word of God and love the Lord need to remember is, "ALL" things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. So I am guessing that if God allows a Hurricane to take out people and property as you say or think, if there are folks in harms way that are Christians and love the Lord, it will be for their good. Why would anyone wish death on anyone, don't God love us all equally, regardless of our belief? From what I understand is, the non believers just will not inherit the Kingdom of God. For God so loved the world, I did not see were he mentioned any part of the world or any type of man.

Back in like '07, I sent out a word from the Lord concerning Katrina/Ike/Etc. and the prophetic warning God was sending to America through that time to return to Him or else greater judgements were coming to this land. Specifically, since judgement begins in the house of God, it was a call to the "church" in America to return to God in Spirit and in truth. The whole church back then was crying out for "revival", but wasn't willing to "reform" itself, nor fully willing in great measure to allow the Lord into the deep places of the inner man and follow the Lord with the light He had already given.
I sent out a word on this and shared how I had been to Marti Gras in NEw Orleans a year or two before with an evangelism ministry team. I saw the exceeding wickedness that made Sodom and Gomorrah look tame. I stood on the streets and preached/witnessed to individuals who clung to the dead religion as an excuse to "eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die." The Lord showed me the haunts of devils & spiritual wickedness in high places, which controlled that city, which control much of this country which used to name his name, and who had more influence on "the church" in America than she realized (after all, she sits as the whore of Babylon in front of her tv and Internet drinking it in day after day as well).
The Lord showed me and spoke to me about a real "revival" coming in His timing in America, but on the back of great judgement, such as has not been seen before. It was true revival of the kind that the apostate and backslidden church wouldn't even recognize as such, because she is only focused on self, pleasure, enetertainment, and ease. A warm, comfortable, Sunday religion. The current apostate leadership would not be comfortable in it either, cause it would return us to the original NT pattern and the power-control stranglehold of the Nicolaitin "pastor" who Lords it over the flock would be broken.
The Lord showed us what's in Americas heart these days when Katrina hit and the chaos, terror, and haunts and jackals of men filled with evil continuously began to have some free reign to manifest. Notice the difference in the Superdome after Katrina ("hell on earth" with theft, rape, murder, etc.) & the Japanese after the Tsunami (standing quietly and patiently in line waiting for help)? The Lord also allowed us to see the govt.'s only response in such chaos: martial law was implemented, and US military soldiers walked the streets with automatic rifles, collecting people's guns, and being quoted as saying, "I can't imagine having to fire on American citizens. I hope I don't have to."
You see, the Lord again cracked the door to give us a glimpse of what could be far worse on a national level if he fully removed His hand os sovereign Grace. I put out an email and received such disdainful responses, patriotic Americans proud and arrogant (like OT Israel) who said "how dare you say God isn't going to just bless this nation until He comes!!" My friend, David Servant, of Heavens Family Ministries (& Orphans Tear), sent out a teaching on it called, "Hurricane Jesus". People quit supporting 3rd world orphans through his ministry because they didn't want to hear this word. Wow. That's real believers: quit feeding and ministering $20/month (100% goes to the orphans) because they don't want anyone to rock the American dream with a prophetic voice that judgement is coming, and God is the one who will bring it.
Reminded me of Jeremiah. He tried to warn Jerusalem that the Babylonians were coming, that God was sending them, and that they must not fight God's judgements, surrender to them, and repent of their wickedness. What did they do? They locked away the prophetic voice, pressed on in Nationalistic pride, and suffered the consequences of complete Annhilation in their arrogant pride. Jeremiah, the humble prophet of fire was the only one who got out alive.
I'm not saying God did/didn't send a hurricane towards this convention, but to dismiss everything on the basis of a touchy feely "God would never do that" basis, is Biblically, prophetically, and spiritually naive, in love. If that's the case, you also won't understand the coming persecution. We Better all get out of our "mind" and what makes sense to our own sensual, natural, physical understanding. God sends judgements as He deems in His will whether we see/understand/perceive it or not. My Bible says God is in control of the weather. There was significance in Katrina/Ike. There is significance in the worst collective drought right now in US history, especially in the Midwest, which produces our food crops (dried up land, hardened with no rain, produces no "fruit").
God is not up in heaven helplessly wringing His hands wondering how to stop these darn weather patterns that are hurting these people against His wishes.
I also noticed hat your signet says "God Bless Texas". I am from Texas. born and raised there all my life. God moved me out of that place this year. When judgements do come, Texas is going to be an epicenter. Much of it will be he Lord speaking to the "Proud Texan" mentality that don't need anyone, and is more proud to be born in Texas than truly "born from above". Believers from Texas may love where they live, but know exactly what I'm talking about if they are honest. Not to insult you, or anyone at all, (again I was born in Dallas and lived in Texas all my life until this year), but there is a certain spirit of pride in the Texas culture heritage. You know it. God has made it clear that He is going to speak to/deal with that directly in the days to come.
Storms of great magnitude are on the horizon for Texas. I dont say that happily or gleefully (all my blood family and in-laws live there), but it doesn't matter how Imfeel about a matter, only what has God said/decreed? Prepare your hearts for it now and don't be surprised when it happens. The Lord has given me, those with prophetic gifts in our fellowship, and many others (all the way back to people like AA Allen 50 years ago) visions, dreams, and words about this matter. God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. The same thing is going to happen to the US as a whole, but the storms that hit Texas will stick out and be obvious to all (who have eyes to see).

It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. I shutter when I hear that statement made on the movie The Titanic. "God, himself, cannot sink this ship.". Such arrogance. And we know the outcome of that story.

Now we have nan again shaking their fist at God and daring him to act n judgement. While all of Florida is under a hurricanes watch. And communities prepare to evacuate. The Republicans will meet in Tampa to nominate a cultist. In the path of an approaching hurricane.

I tremble. Man in his arrogance is provoking God. And the outcome could be dreadful. We do well to heed the word our brother Jeff posted.

For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. No one knows for sure what is of God and what isn't of God. Jeff, you kind of got carried away with my God Bless Texas thing, and you stereotyped me over just a simple thing, glad you know me so well you know my heart. For all that are open minded enough to care, the God Bless Texas thing was not put there out of pride, as some might think, and if anyone else has an issue with it I would be happy to remove it. I know there are modern day prophets, but I have yet to see one predict anything correctly today, so I would use the prophetic stuff very tenderly. Maybe I should change it to, God please rain down your fierce anger on Texas, hey it's drama and anger combined, what most folks desire these days, that should make some happy. What ever happened to just being a good hearted Christian and loving all, as God does, why all the bitterness and anger, and hopes of destruction or Gods wrath? it will come soon enough. Why don't we get out there and bring in the lost sheep, isn't this our first priority? :)

M

jeffmar.....Storms of great magnitude are on the horizon for Texas.

Sounds like you have a little bitterness in your heart for Texas, why is that? because we stand our ground and don't go along to get along like some states do. Let be change up your statement to were it sounds more logical:
"Storms of great magnitude are on the horizon for the whole USA and the World". Not speaking as a prophet here, just speaking from what the word says about the happenings in the end times. If I find something in the word that singles out Texas, I will get back to you.

S
sermonindex

In love, I said what the Lord gave me. Take it or leave it, but your response to protect Texas "we don't just get along like the others" (ie "we are better than everyone else") proved my point. I have no bitterness against Texas. Why does this generation take anything serious or not positive "sunshine & rainbows" as a slam?
In love, I care not what stock you put in the words I shared as far as me personally. My heart/conscience is clear. There is nothing in the Word specifically detailing the Tsunami that hit Sri Lanka a few years ago either, but the Lord spoke by the Spirit to a Body of believers to ascend to a mountain high place and pray. That's what saved their lives from the destruction below when the Tsunami hit. There are lots of "so-called prophets" out there, I FULLY agree.
The enemy sowers those tares to discredit from the genuine wheat. I shared as I did without presumption. Do with it what you will. Consider one thing, if I would have given a "prophetic word" telling how "Texas was going to be saved from coming judgement because they don't just get along like all the others around them, and that their economy is robust and would continue as such as a sign of God's blessing", would you have believed that word? Ever read in Jeremiah the experience of Jeremiah & Hananias in the temple court of the king and thd people?
I would never take off your yoke of wood only to replace it with yokes off iron. I have shared as the Lord led me. Take it, leave it, pray about it, judge it, whatever as you choose, but the is much more confirmation than my words alone. No bitterness against Texas. My heart resides in heaven by God's grace. I couldn't care less where the Lord sends this pilgrim just passing through. I never thought I'd leave Texas for New Mexico! Are you kidding? Who wants to do that? :-) I don't care where He leads me. Southeast Asia, New Mexico, Texas, Romania, The Congo, Madagascar, Russia, etc. I just want to be where the Lord calls me to go.
That Texas pride is there. Only us "from the homeland" don't see it (or don't care to). I've lived in Dallas, lived in east Texas, worked/stayed in Houston, Beaumont, San Antonio, Austin, Galveston, etc. So why "God Bless Texas"? What about everyone else in the US? How about the world? How about "God Bless YOUR PEOPLE". Should God pour out His blessing on people who hate Him, revile and work against Him and His people, broadcast unspeakable filth on tv/Internet everyday, etc.
We don't see what we have drunk in like water and has become part of our makeup. God is going to send a wake up call of alarm bells (trumpets if you will) & Texas will see great tragedy as she has never imagined. You may not like that. You may not like me (as if you really know me), but it's going to come to pass. I don't wish it on anyone (Texas or anywhere else), but the Lord is God in control, and we are not. And yes, again, God holds the weather, along with all the earth and heavens, in His mighty righteous right hand.
I'm not against you my friend. I'm just sounding in love like a car alarm. They go off all the time these days. Ignore it if you want, but someone is stealing your car as you scoff at the alarm. I just pray God intervenes in my family's lives and they see their disconnect from God (though they are very religious) before its too late.

So, if the hurricane doesn't directly hit Tampa during the Republican National Convention, will you come back and admit that your thinking was flawed?

There are many good people living in Tampa and the rest of Florida. I know several devout believers who live there.

If we aren't careful, we will be no better than Job's friends in pondering whether or not God is responsible for death and destruction upon godly men and women. Or, we might be like Jonah sitting beneath a shriveled vine waiting for "judgement" on others.

We should be compassionate...seeing this world as sheep having no Shepherd...and pray that God would have mercy upon others.

Saints I do not wish death or destruction on anybody. I cited earlier in this thread that it is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. I am only asking that we think about the implications what God nay be saying through the hurricane in Florida. But also he has spoken to us through a drought not seen since the 30's and an economy on the verge of collapse. Yet the church still slumbers.

For those like Jeffmar who raise a warning through a prophetic word. They are excoriated. Yet the love of Christ. And the responsibility of discerning the times compel them to cry a warning out. At least one's blood will not be on their hand
Saints I believe God is sending us a warning through this hurricane in Florida. This is too coincidental to have the Republicans meeting in Tampa. And have a hurricane coming at them. I suppose we could dismiss this as a random event. Were it not for the man they are nomination is a Mormon cultist passing himself off as a man of righteousness.

Hi bearmaster,

The world is not confined to America. There is sinfulness, death and destruction all over the world.

Yes, the recent drought has been difficult for some people living in certain areas of America. It may very well be one of the worst droughts since the 1930s. However, people have been dying from famine, disease and pestilence throughout the world for years.

It is interesting that some are quick to suppose that it is prophetic "judgment" when we have a similar drought in America or an outbreak of the West Nile virus...when millions of people in Africa, India and Latin America die from malaria or other diseases each year.

Yes, America (and Americans) have been blessed with quite a bit, and much would be required of the believers living here. However, hurricanes happen EVERY year. As with everything, I pray that God uses whatever means necessary to gather people unto Himself. At the same time, I also pray for God's compassion and mercy on others. After all, it is His kindness that leads us to repentance.

We should be very careful about raising this -- or things like it -- to "prophetic judgment" status. Over the years, I have seen individuals say the same thing about hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, famines, earthquakes, etc... Personally, I am not worried. I will pray for those who live in areas that are affected are might be affected by such things. And, of course, I hope that such things draw men to God in truth.

However, if God wants to bring judgment upon (or get the attention of) Mormons, wouldn't it be better to send an earthquake to Salt Lake City? What about the "judgment" for abortionists, homosexuals and pornographers? There are plenty of terrible, lost men in many nations because this world has largely rejected or ignored Christ.

A few years ago, I knew a "Christian non-resistance" brother who strongly argued for his positions on many issues. We were discussing the issue of "just wars." He argued that we should not harm others because God loves those that "soldiers are trying to kill."

Yet, ironically, he also believed that God's judgment would befall America. When he spoke of it, he did so with almost eager anticipation. I couldn't help but wonder what happened to the compassion that he invoked when it came to "non-resistance." He passed it off as judgment that he would never stand in the way of. I wish that we would care for our neighbors with the same compassion as Moses or, of course, Jesus.

Of course, there IS judgment for such individuals. It might not come on this side of Eternity, yet it is the fitting penalty for sin. However, I believe that our prayer should be for God's mercy...and that he would draw men to Himself.

S
sermonindex

Yes. I will admit my thinking is flawed. It may be flawed even now. I admit I see through a glass darkly. I am claiming no prophetic revelation or a thus says the Lord.

But I do read the prophetic writings we call the word of God. Those prophetic writing tell us that you cannot shake your fist at God and their be no severe consequences to consider. The Old Testament is filled with Israel making alliances with heathen nations and not trusting God. The outcome was quite severe for Israel. You cannot make a deal with the devil and not expect God to judge.

This is what I see happening to the evangelical church.. She is putting her hope in a Mormon cultist to be her salvation. Because evangelicals despise the current president. They are willing to compromise Jesus Christ to have a Mormon deliver them. A man who comes out of a Satanic cult. And God will judge such actions. If not by the hurricane. Then by another way. But he will judge.

Bearmaster.

Hi Brother Bearmaster,

This is what I see happening to the evangelical church.. She is putting her hope in a Mormon cultist to be her salvation. Because evangelicals despise the current president. They are willing to compromise Jesus Christ to have a Mormon deliver them. A man who comes out of a Satanic cult. And God will judge such actions. If not by the hurricane. Then by another way. But he will judge.

First of all, this is a stereotype that you are holding in regard to "evangelicals."

Secondly, an American believer who decides to vote for Mitt Romney is no more endorsing "a Mormon cultist to be her salvation" than we would endorse or look to the religious views of the local supermarket manager to "meet all of our food and water needs."

I shop at our local grocery store because the prices are lower...and the store is managed well. I have no idea of the manager's religious faith; however, he is a good manager. Some people will support Mitt Romney -- despite his religious views -- because they think that he will be a better executive than the current president.

Finally, there is a big difference between "despising" a person (or politician) and simply disagreeing with that person's policies.

Yes, judgment will come to this world. It is in God's timetable. However, I am in no hurry for it to come. I ask the Lord to give me another day, month or year to do what I can to bring the Good News to a lost and dying world.

At the same time, I would be extremely careful of publicly speculating that a hurricane -- one of dozens that occur each year -- is a result of prophetic "judgment." Using that sort of logic, would someone suppose that God must be smiling upon Republicans if the hurricane doesn't directly hit Tampa throughout their convention?

I would like to share another perspective of this hurricane.

Unless you have been hiding your head in the sand you are well aware of the prevailing drought that has affected 50% of the crop land in the USA.

There is one benefit that a hurricane can bring to a drought afflicted area and that is rain. Years ago when we farmed and it was dry, we always anticipated hurricanes knowing their rain will bring the needed relief we so desperately needed.

The odd thing of this is that while those of us inland benefited from it, it also inflicted damage to those in the coastal areas. Then those much further inland may receive rains that will result in severe flooding, but we never experienced this that I recall. Still, if you have deep cracks there will be a lot of place for the water to run to before there will be serious runoff. (You see, hurricane rains start with a slow drizzle and build up momentum as time passes.)

Just thought I would share this perspective that there are those who are watching this forecast with hopes of benefiting from it.

Just FYI - I never said this was/wasn't a "prophetic judgement". I spoke up about the readiness to dismiss any such possibilities & only receive "smooth things" as truth. I believe full well that Katrina was (look at what it showed us), that 9/11 was (the Lord allowed the impenetrable USA to be breached), & that a huge massive judgement is coming in the future to the US. I don't "wish it on anyone", but I'm not control either way, so it doesn't matter "what I want", but what is God saying about the matter?
Chris, are you also not going to check out the coming conference on Coming Persecution because you don't want such things and you just want to hope for the best? I'm not at all being sarcastic - I'm truly curious. I also am probably technically considered "non-resistance" (in the same way Jesus was and told us to be - remember, turn the other cheek, give your coat and tunic, go two miles, etc.), but I am not sending judgement on America Chris - God is going to. I'm just sharing what the Spirit of God has made known to me. There are as many "prophet killers" these days (not physically at present) as there are "false prophets", so that argument goes two ways.
Over 50,000 million aborted babies and we don't think judgement is coming specifically to the US? Homosexual marriage? Child milesters and abuses by the millions. Internet porn made on our shores and shipped around the globe? TBN and wolves deceiving the whole world with a false Gospel and judgement coming is speculation? It's coming dear brother. Instead of trying to reason away the unpleasant events that have beset this country. Things such as the draught, the economy, the rise of sin, natural disasters. We must ask ourselves what is God saying to us. Those who are in the prayer closets get a sense that a storm is gathering in the distance. Sorry, that was not a pun.

To try to reason these things away. Or dismiss them as random events. We do so to our own peril. While we pray protection for those in Florida and certainly ask God to bring needed draught relief rains from Isaac. We cannot ignore the fact that many in this country, evangelicals included, are hoping salvation through a Mormon. This is dangerous. Yet there are many Christians who are so displeased with Obama they will give tbeir allegiance to a Mormon cultist.

A thread was started some time ago about the evils of the Roman. Catholic Church. Yet, we are blind to the evils of Mormonism. We are prone in this forum to speak of the evils of the RCC. But few will acknowledge that the Mormon religion is a Satanic cult. Indeed the next nan in the Whe House could very well be a Mormon.

Barrack Obana sat under the preaching of Jeremy Wright. This man may have been the vessel that shaped Obana's ideas . Wright may have been that instrument who made Obama the Lu real humanist her Iska today.

If Obama was shaped by liberal preaching in the church he attended for several years. What do you think Romney us going to bring to the table. I have repeatedly posted this man is dead serious about his faith. This man is the Mormon's Mormon. Were he not seeking political office he could very well be slated to be one of the Mormon apostles. Perhaps the president if the LDS church. The man has held some of the top leadership positions in the LDS church.

I have asked repeatedly do you think this man is going to shed his Mormonism when he is elected President. This man is very committed to his faith. More so than past Presidents were committed to tbeir faith. And the faith if Mit Romney is a Satanic cult. But I fear many are blowing this off.

Saints please wake up. God is warning us what is going to happen. Do not despise those who speak warnings. But go before the Lord and ask if these things be true. Because to ignore God's warnings brings peril.

Your salvation and hope are in Jesus Christ. Not a Mormon cultist.

Brother, Jeff posed an interesting question to you. Do you believe persecution is coming to America? Or do you think we are going overboard on the Sermon Index conference? Just courious, bro.

Bearmaster.

C
ccchhhrrriiisss

Bearmaster,

I have made it exceedingly clear that I believe that persecution will come to America...and the entire world.

Moreover, I ask that you refrain from asking "leading assumptions" via insinuations from any "either/or" series of questions. I notice that you do this quite a bit.

In this case, you asked:

A. Do you believe persecution is coming to America?
---OR---
B. Do you think "we" are going overboard on the Sermon Index conference?

As believers, we should not to be double-minded with one another or assume that others fall within one of two bipolar scenarios that we have conjured in our minds.

Like I said, I have already indicated clearly within my posts -- many times -- that I believe persecution is coming to this world. In fact, Jesus told us that we would have tribulation in this world. Believers have been persecuted since the beginning of the Church.

I am excited about the SermonIndex conference on The Church and Coming Persecution. But, let me be clear: We should not fear persecution. The Church has been experiencing persecution since the beginning. I do believe that it will become more widespread. We should encourage one another in the Lord...and be prepared to endure to the end.

That said: This thread is about a question that you asked regarding an approaching (and potentially dangerous) hurricane is drawing near the Southeast and how you find it "ironic" that the Republicans will be meeting in Florida. You asked if God is "sending a prophetic message here."

According to the National Weather Service, the storm will be approaching Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia by tomorrow evening. The Republicans? They canceled most of their events from the first day of the convention. So, by Tuesday evening, the storm will likely have made landfall somewhere in Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia.

As Ginnyrose said, this could be the answer to prayers of many farmers. We should be very slow to speak when it comes to trying to "tie" a storm with spiritual "irony" or a "prophetic message." After all, we will have to give an account for every idle word we speak.

S
sermonindex

Chris,
We all know that persecution is coming to this world. In fact much persecution is already in most parts of the world to some degree or another. We all have read the end of the book, and know it will go worldwide and be most severe, ie, the great tribulation.
However, what we are saying is more specific than that. What I am saying is that God is going to send a judgement to America that will send shockwaves through the whole world. I don't want to cloud that or foggy that up in the weeds. Why do I believe that? Because the Lord showed it to me shortly afetr I was born again, and has made it clear by the Spirit that it is fast approaching.
I believe a great war is on the horizon and greater persecution will come either just before, during, or just after it. I don't want it to get lost in the weeds of what we all know to be specifically true by scripture quotes only. I have tried to Make it clear what I'm saying, but it keeps getting lost in the "we all believe in persecution" general theme.
Also, Bearaster didn't start out this thread saying that is is definitely judgement from God, but asked if anyone noticed and COULD there be something to it prophetically? That's not "idle words". That's likely a man with a prophetic calling, unsure if it means anything, but throwing it out there to see what others think/see/perceive. After all, the NT says in fellowship, prophets are to speak and the others are to judge the word spoken. NT prophetic callings are not exactly like OT prophets. I have tried to express this MANY times in multiple threads.
Idle words are just jibberish that shouldn't be spoken at all. Wasted words. You obviously do not have a prophetic gift, but maybe a teaching gift? Or a gift of administration? Or Pastoral gifts to shepherd the flock? I don't know, but it always seems like those who don't have prophetic gifts don't understand the gift/calling, and seek to discredit/nullify/kill any/all prophetic words spoken and put forth for consideration by the Body to judge.
In fact, this wasn't even technically a "prophetic word", but a question for consideration for evoaluation by the Body. You may not think it was a hurricane sent by God for the RNC, but that doesn't make it an idle word. I didn't think it was necessarily, but didn't know for sure, but it did catch my attention and a moment of wonder in my mind.
I started in on this thread because people attack even the possibility that God could/would do that? God is sending judgement much greater than that. Don't be surprised by it. It's aimed at America, and will affect the whole world. That's not an idle word brother, but a word from the Lord He has made crystal clear to many within the Body in this hour.

Hi Jeffmar...

I understand what you are saying. Persecution is certainly at the door...and believers around the world have suffered severe persecution and tribulation for nearly two thousand years. We know that believers will face some difficult times in the last days.

Yet, even in this, we are encouraged by the Lord to not fret or fear such things. The worst thing that can happen to us is that we are killed; yet, this is a victory in itself.

However, it is almost as if you (and others) are saying that "special judgment" is coming to America. Now, I am not saying that God hasn't reserved "special" judgment. However, it is certainly something that is extra-biblical. Why? We don't find any specific, undeniable references to America in the Word of God unless we interpret it that way.

Still, it may happen. Judgment could be poured out on this young nation (after all, 236 years is relatively "new" in the scope of the last two thousand years since Christ was born) out of a specific purpose. However, if we are going to justify that "judgment" or "wrath" because of sin, there are many more sinful nations out there.

In this instance, the question was raised about an impending hurricane that will likely hit the Gulf Coast. The question was raised about it being a prophetic judgment because of the Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL.

Now, there are cities that are probably "more sinful" than Tampa, Florida or the Mississippi/Alabama/Florida Gulf Coast. Have you ever been to New York, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Beijing, Dubai, London, Paris, or many other cities around the world? Why would we suppose that God is sending such special judgment upon the Gulf Coast when He doesn't do the same to cities and areas that are steeped in Islam?

And, of course, hurricanes have hit the Gulf Coast for centuries BEFORE they were heavily populated...long before Europeans or even Native American tribes heavily populated the area. Is it possible that this latest hurricane may simply be just another hurricane? Why is it that we have people publicly suggest that it is special "judgment" (or wrath) with every act of nature?

Still, you say that God showed it to you. However, I can't go by what you say that God showed you...no matter how much I respect you. In fact, I don't believe that we should be so swayed by such things anyway. Our primary goal remains the same -- to know and serve the Lord and introduce this Good News to others. We are not to be in fear or distracted by the world around us...even if it is falling apart.

I understand that it was a question...but this sort of question is what they call "leading." In the secular world, such questions wouldn't be admissible in a court because they lead the respondents toward a "direction." Consider what he "asked:"

Is it ironic that the Rebublicans are meeting in Tampa this coming week to nominate a man out of a Satanic cult to be tbeir presidential candidate. And a hurricane is coming toward Tampa?

Is God sending a prophetic message here?

Do you notice that he tied the "irony" of Republicans meeting in Tampa to nominate Mitt Romney (that he repeatedly stresses is part of a Satanic cult...and further elucidates upon this later with questionable accusations) and the ninth named tropical storm/hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season? Moreover, they are devoid of the godly compassion and intercession on behalf of those individuals -- including many believers -- who will potentially be affected by this storm.

Earlier, I wrote a response to one of Bearmaster's more recent posts in this thread. I went through it statement by statement...in the hope of highlighting how such statements and questionable in regard to truth and how allegations might come across via such "questions." In some cases, they not only "lead" the reader, but they include statements of insinuation that don't pass the muster of purity of speech that believers should be uphold.

I decided to sit upon that response. Not only do I want to approach such things prayerfully and with a heart of grace, but I also don't know that such a post would accomplish anything other than misunderstood feelings, a sense of rejection or even the pride of words being "rejected" for seemingly prophetic reasons.

For one, I don't know if it is wise to affirm or renounce any gift that a member of an online community apparently operates under.

To be very clear: I do NOT seek to discredit/nullify/kill any/all prophet words spoken and put forth for consideration.

If you knew me better...or could see/know/experience the things that I have in my life, you would know this to not be true. I have both heard and spoken words that exposed the secrets of the heart. God has "shown" me things -- supernaturally -- that were exceedingly and specifically clear as a warning, as encouragement and as a way to present the Gospel to someone else. I could go into details where I was ministering the Gospel and I suddenly became "aware" of specific names or previous instances and anecdotes within the hearers life...or the knowledge of what would happen thereafter. In many cases, I feel the Lord "reveal" something to me; yet, I keep it to myself in prayer (or how I approach others) unless I feel that I cannot.

These things make me tremble before I share them. Yes, I understand that these things do not make me a "prophet." I don't know what they make me. These things are not from me or awarded to me. I rejoice (in tears) when the Lord uses such instances. I desperately desire to never rob the Lord of His glory or distract others from Him on account of this broken and flawed vessel in which the Lord might use to share such things.

However, I would never feel offended if someone were to question those things that I share. I wouldn't be offended if someone scrutinized and tested the things that I say. If those things are from the Lord (as I feel they are), then they will not fall to the ground and would pass such a test.

Unfortunately, there are many people who seek, desire or feel themselves to be "prophets" who utter public words. When tested or scrutinized, many of those individuals feel slighted. Some will even reject (even publicly) those who reject their words as being from God. I have known prophets and I have known false prophets. One of the biggest differences that I have seen between the two lay in the egos. Some blame their abrasive nature, audacity and even "alpha" attitude on a "gift." Yet, I believe that a true prophet will remain humble before the Lord. He will not feel slighted...and will never care to be recognized for being used via a gift that he could never earn.

Throughout the years on SermonIndex and in life, I have known prophets who pronounced specific dates within their "prophetic words." An economic disaster by such-and-such date. An earthquake during such-and-such month. The beginning of the Tribulation by a specific day. I would hear those words, let them know if I didn't "accept" them as truth...yet commit myself to prayer for the speaker, the hearers and the targets of those words. When those prophesied specific dates came and went, many "prophets" who were daring enough to proclaim such specific judgments by specific dates weren't quite as bold when it came to repenting (or, at least, explaining) in regard to what they said.

I have noticed that there is a trend for ambiguity among many "prophets" in the Body of Christ. Instead of secrets of the heart, we are given interpretive words that hold verifiable and undeniable truths. Yet, in some cases, they also contain things that can't be measured, verified or scrutinized. In the case of the TBN type of "Christianity," there are "preacher personalities" (like Benny Hinn or Kim Clement) who -- after countless false prophecies -- eventually realized that they should not include dates or specifics within their words lest they be scrutinized when such things do not come to pass. So, they utter ambiguous words that contain Scriptural truths, a current "pressing" view of passionate issues facing the Church and a few statements that cannot be validated or invalidated.

In this case, I wouldn't call this question about the possible irony of a hurricane hitting the Gulf Coast something "prophetic" because the Republicans will be meeting in Tampa. After all, the Republicans decided today to be safe and put off the convention until Tuesday. Yet, I would also caution individuals to not confuse strong opinions about a matter with a prophetic word or unction.

I don't think that anyone here is questioning the possibility that God can or would send judgment to America. I mentioned that I believe judgment is coming earlier in one of my posts. However, I can't go by the words of a man if those words aren't confirmed by the Word of God and by prayer. I also cannot scrutinize words that are strong in content but ambiguous in measurement.

For instance, I could say that "a major hurricane is coming to America" because of states that embrace homosexual marriage. Well, there might be a few more states that legalize homosexual marriage soon. But, what about a hurricane? If it doesn't happen this year...or next year...but the following year...is this "prophetic" or just statistically "likely?" After all, a major hurricane hits the United States once every few years. If I say that there would be an assassination attempt on a major political figure, it could simply be a very real "possibility" that is voiced given the extreme political divisive of the day.

When it comes to the specific topic of voting, I often regret involving myself in the discussion. I often feel bombarded by individuals who feel strongly about the topic. Ironically, I am not nearly as politically motivated as some might suppose (or have previously suggested). Yet, I do not appreciate it when some make broad stereotypes of believers or reject extending the grace that comes from not standing in the way of the Holy Spirit's leading into all truth.

I don't mean to digress, but it seems that many such topics like this have a tendency to do so. It is late and my thoughts grow weary. I do hope that you know that I appreciate you and any believer who loves the Lord. We may often differ on issues, topics or even the estimation about words that we speak. However, I praise God for the passion and sincerity of heart and motive of believers even if we disagree.

The Lord bless you, brother!

We will know if it the Lord, especially if it strikes the mark for which it was sent. The Lord always strikes with accuracy and never misses. Bigger question is, if this is the Lord's hand, why has he not struck all of the pagan presidents and pagan governments?

You do pose an interesting thought though.

Brother I am not a prophet nor make any claim to such. But as a believer in Jesus Christ I am exhorted, even commanded to watch and discern the times. So when I see the Republicans meeting in Tampa in the path of a hurricane I am compelled to ask is God saying something? Particularly when a Satanic cultist is about to be nominated as the next President of the United States. One who conceivably is an antichrist. If not emerging as the Antichrist.

I have noticed that you and a few others will not address the evils of Mormonism. I have posted repeatedly that Romney is dangerous and more so than the current President because Romney is coming out of a Satanic cult.

Chris, do you know what Mormonism is? Are you aware of its history? Do you not see the demonic origins of Mormonism? Do you think Mormonism is some little weird cult with no serious agenda? Do you not see the designs of the enemy here? Do you think somebody like Romney who has grown up and been inducted into this evil system is not going to bring it's influence into the White House? Yet, you and others ignore these questions. Ok, so be it.

Snitching gears. No America is not mentioned specifically in the Bible for special judgement. But Jesus taught that judgement would be more severe for those who know the truth. You and others have reminded us that's this nation was built on Judaic Christian truth. On that I agree. No other nation in the world has been blessed with gospel truth as America has. And that may be our downfall as we have become gospel hardened.

My point is America has no excuse. The truth of Jesus Christ has been preached to America. America has rejected the truth of Christ and turned away from God. Even choosing a cultist to lead them. Thus America will be judged more severely. I dare say that the evil nations of Eritrea and N. Korea will not be judged as severely as America. These nation's do not have the gospel truth as America has.

Actually in the Romans 1 sense America has already been judged by God. Because this nation has turned away from God as we see the rise of homosexuality.

Bro I love you and respect you. But we may have to agree to disagree. I do believe though we both have a heart for the gospel and to see
people come to Christ. In the end that Is what we pray for.

This is a very interesting point. I had not thought about that.

Thanks for sharing these things here with us. I will be honest you have given me much to think about. Like you I don't feel I have all the answers but I do think the best response we can have is to seek GOD and pray. I pray for President Obama(who is a lost sinner) just as I pray for Romney ( who is a lost sinner) Both of these men have an agenda they want to push through, neither one of them is CHRISTIAN so both need prayer and to be born again.
For me I think that you are right, there is no need to wring our hands in fear over possible coming persecution but there is opportunity to pray, to repent of personal sins, and to share with all the good news of JESUS CHRIST.

Chris I just wanted you to know I may not always agree with you on everything but I do appreciate your heart in what you share :)

Just checked the weather forecast for Isaac...

Looks like it it will pass right over us and miss Tampa with a direct hit. Mississippi is smack dab in the middle of its projected path. Looks as though it would be headed for Arkansas and Missouri. Yes!

If it comes our way, we will move things inside that could go a-flying - especially if you 50+MPH winds. And we will stay inside and watch it rain. Might be a good time to take a nap! :-)

I will be praying for you and your family. It got me thinking, when Irene came through our area last year it was at this time and you gave me the best advice back then. I don't remember if I thanked you or not, but thanks :) I just wanted to say that your post here was encouraging to me because you keep such a calm head and there is no fear or panic. Your faith has given me much encouragement over the years, just wanted to say thanks :)

I would also add that out of chastisements and judgments of God often come blessings.

To clarify some misrepresented assumptions:
1.) I never said this hurricane was an act of God's judgement specifically (nor did Bearmaster, by the way, he just asked a question - I understand leading questions, I was pre-law many ages ago, but this isn't a court of law. We can pose questions we may be wondering about without it being labeled pre-judgingly as "idle words"). I said Katrina was. The Lord made that clear to me. If not to you, that's OK. Take it or leave it as you choose.
2.) I never have/never will implied or stated we should be afraid or fear if/when God does send judgement. To be absent from the Body is to be present with the Lord. Either way, we win. Many aren't mentally or spiritually prepared for this reality, thus the reason for the discussion before the greater "Body" at large.
3.) I never got "offended" at the questioning of anything I said. I'm not offended at all brother. I'm just speaking to the prevalent attitude/spirit that seems to be greater at large in the body these days. True there are many false prophets, many self-proclaimed prophets, and many who are presumptuous. Just as true is the fact that there are even more "prophet police", self-appointed "prophetic Refuters", and those who actually are eager to "kill/stone the prophes/prophetic insight" and reject everything automatically that isn't a direct quote from scripture.
4.) just as strange as you think it is that people "rush to consider America under judgement", I think it's very strange to not see that a country who has aborted 50 Million+ innocent babies LEGALLY, has almost single handedly started the world economic disaster, that is under the most severe drought since the 30's (right after the "roaring 20's where sin started to be celebrated in US), has birthed and flourished the porn industry and shoots the smut around the world, has birthed and flourished an underground child porn industry, has child molesters and abuses by the millions, has spawned the greatest homosexual movement in history with even lesbians and transgender identities becoming normal, has birthed a new movement in the hearts of "independent women" where even they leave their families and forsake their own children for lusts and even prostitution when they never had to leave, where children are so unimportant that daily some woman "forgets" her baby in a car and it dies while she is shopping at the mall and vainly getting her hair and nails done, who has rejected the very name of God in any public entity/venue though our foundings didn't, has spent all of our money and is debt to the double digit trillions to our enemies and don't see it ending badly, and most of all who has had such great spiritual blessings within her land and now has thousands of wolf infested "ministries" that water down, pervert, pollute, and make a mockery of the Gospel, who covet the money of undiscerning widows and the like and build multimillion dollar buildings and fill them up with people who "love to have it so" so their ears get tickled real good every week as they continue on in sin apart from God.
Not onl ythat, but we have garbage like TBN where we make a lucrative business out of mocking the Lord and His Gospel, and pollute the entire world with it, but shooting it around the world by satellite. 3rd world countries are following in our path we blaze for them in Apostacy. I know this to be true.
5.) The Lord has spoken to me about this coming judgement, and given me many dreams concerning it, and confirmed it many many times. But, I'm not the only one, but one among many thousands. I know MANY other believers in the Body with & without strong prophetic giftings who halve had the same experiences independent of mine. Friends in fellowship having dreams of subs surrounding the US. Believers little children having a dream and coming to explain what they saw. Having never watched TV, explaining a nuclear bomb mushroom cloud and fallout. Of course, then there is the testimony and prophetic vision of men like David Wilkerson, Art Katz, Leonard Ravenhill, etc., etc., etc. They all the same thing also. Kay Arthur at a women's conference breaking down in prayer and prophetically crying out that a great famine was coming to the US & to prepare spiritually now so not to be caught off guard. On and on and on. But, unless I can quote a verse that literally says, "America will be judged severely before all the world in 2012-2013" you'll refute it all as idle words. Maybe thats a stretch on my part (don't correct me, you don't have to, I admit that's a slight stretch to what you said exactly). But you get my point.
If the Lord is sending people to wake up the church and get her attention, and you are constantly throwing water over everything they say (even just things they suggest may be worthy of consideration), do you think you could actually be working against the trumpets God has ordained to sound he alarm? I'm not saying that words are not to be judged and considered just drank down like Kool-Aid, but you seem set on watering every one down and consciously or unintentionally reigning doubt on every single one spoken. Just how I discern it brother. I am not assaulting your character and can see your love for God, His Word, and His people. But I'll bet you have a teaching/pastoral type gifting, and should not let that lead you to nullify every "prophetic" gift/comment/insight/question for evaluation because it's different than your gift which is different. Just a hunch.
6.) Being the commander in chief and president of the United States of America is one of the most powerful and influential positions in the world. To compare that with a local teller at Krogers (or even the store manager) is.........well, not fair, not parallel, not even worthy of comparison, and if you really believe that way, I mean this in a non-assaulting and lovingly truthful way - naive. The man who can pull he trigger on nukes to start WW3 compared to the man who scans your milk and at best can price match your paper ads - I love you Chris, but that's ridiculous! :-) I have a good sense of humor, so don't take me as offensive, I'm giggling at that a little, but have you really stopped writing and prayed about that? Manager of wal-mart and leader of the "free world" (as they say, though we are in more bondage than we know).
"If God doesn't judge America for all her sins, He'll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah at the Judgement Seat"

Mary, Genesis 50:20 "You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.". Seems like most just focus on the bad they "assume" God is sending. Isn't it strange, some can't see the good in some things? but then again when you have a country that focuses on Drama and Hate this is usually the result. By the way Mary, God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, he still pours out his Blessings, even if some want to turn the Blessings into his wrath. The God I serve is a good God, I did read somewhere this statement "For God so Loved the world". O well some see the glass half full, some see it half empty, some see wrath, some see Love and Blessings, guess it's all about the lifestyle a person lives. You live with anger and hate or even jealously, your mind will follow accordingly, you live with love, hope and trust, your mind will think good thoughts. I have always heard, "hurting people hurt people".

I have not seen the latest weather track. But if Isaac does bring drought busting rain then Amen. I live in the draught area and we do need the rain.

However for those who want Mit Romney. Be careful what you ask for. Israel rejected God for a king. And look at the grief she endured afterward. The Jewish leadership rejected Christ. They told Pilot we have no king but caesar. 40 years later caesar repaid the Jews by destroying Jerusalem in 70 AD.

I have no doubt that Mit Romney will be the next President of the United States. Many evangelicals will rejoice. Oh we have taken the White House. This is our man. Oh don't confuse me he is a Mormon. A Satanist. You are making a groundless accusation. He is a moral man. He is a conservative. He is even a God fearing man.

Saints I leave you with these verses out of 2 Cor.11:13-15

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising then, If his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

You will get Mit Romney. But be prepared for the price you will pay for his Presidency.

The election is coming fast so let the christians guard their hearts. To easily get hysterical and readily raise our voices to decry and reprobate anybody will hardly do us any good. Inflammatory remarks and damnation would only harass our own souls.

At times we easily commend anybody, only to realize that we are trouncing the same person the next day.

Do we not remember how Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Daniel, Nehemiah behaved before the kings and emperors. Though they
know that God had so favored them, yet they have not acted rudely before the dignitaries but treated them with honor and courtesy.

While the Lord is bringing His counsel to pass, let us bear patiently till the iniquity of His enemies is full.

bear,

If the hurricane killed Mitt Romney, I might ponder the theological implications of such a storm. But being that the storm will probably do nothing more than blow a few things over and cause a headache for a few people, I don't see any sort of prophetic significance. And I don't think speculating about such is helpful. If you have a word from the Lord, share it and let the church discern. But if you don't, then you should probably be silent.

If any man speaks, let him speak as the oracle of God.

I sort of wish the storm would come closer to Florida. I am in Central Florida and would like to see heavier winds. Just adds to the excited of the weather for my tastes. I have a small weather fetish and these storms get exciting. Got through the 3 hurricanes back in 2004 and the only damage I had was 2 wooden fencing panels falling apart.

I find it funny that the Republican convention is delayed by a day because of the storm. Weren't they delayed last time when they held it in Minnesota because of a snow storm that came through? Well, in any case I will be in Tampa on Thursday but not near downtown. More to the north and east side of town. Want nothing to do with Tampa this week with that Convention going on. I wonder how the various media outlets will report on the news from the Convention.

I think we should be neither a "glass half full", nor a "glass half empty" person. One is the result of our new age "speak reality into being" mentality we have drunk like wine from our culture/society. The other is a pessimistic view of fear/death/bad news that our media/Internet/ & fear-mongering cultural society thrives on.
Be a realist with your eyes fixed on things eternal. See, I'm a "that glass has 4 ozs of water in it" kinda guy. Or 3. Or 5. Why draw yourself to a camp that it is either a "hand in the sand" with "fingers in your ears" that anytime even potentially "non-good" news is brought up, we raise our voices and say, "I can't hear you, I can't hear you". This is the camp that says, "prophesy not to us hard things, only prophesy smooth things" like the self-deceived of old.
The other camp says, like Chicken Little, "the sky is falling, the sky is falling" and runs around in fear and fear-mongering all the day long, without their eyes on heaven, eternity, and Christ. Neither is fully accurate and over-exaggerated. We should be focused on, "Lord, what's really going on in this situation or that one? What is truth in it? Thy word is truth, so what are you saying/doing in this Lord?"
Remember, the judgements of God, when they come, ARE with the purpose of His mercy. Even in unimaginable, unspeakable, judgements that take lives, God has purpose, and longs to bring REALITY into the face of those with their hand in the sand to cause them to turn to Him and repent (those whom He has called, but are yet to turn to Him & those who are asleep, backslidden, and spiritually lethargic). The only exception in this is the "bowls of God's WRATH" poured out in the end upon the earth.
There is nothing wrong, by the way, with a man posing a contemplative question to the possibility of prophetic insight to be gained from an event for consideration among the Body. To force a man into a corner and say "either speak 'thus saith the Lord' or keep totally silent" is unfair and extra-biblical regardless of what scripture pulled out of context is used to justify such a statement. If that were true, Leonard Ravenhill, David Wilkerson, Art Katz, AW Tozer and other such prophetic preachers were in constant grave error and should have stood up, said "thus saith the Lord" spoke for 2 minutes and sat down and shut up. We seem to make rules for callings/giftings by the day that we neither have, nor fully understand. Again, the man just posed a question to ponder/consider. Good Lord, these threads can take anything the wrong way and argue it to death. :-)

I really do not want to get into a debate about the wisdom of voting/Morman/Obama...

However, whenever, I read of these debates my memory goes back to when John F. Kennedy, a Catholic, was running against Richard Nixon, a Quaker, back in 1960. I well remember the fear people had of a Catholic occupying the White House. They were sure he would implement persecution against the Anabaptists because after all they did it back in the 1500s...

As a result of this fear many of the Anabaptists persuasion registered and voted for the first time - ever - but JFK won the election anyways. And he never did work to make Catholicism the state religion or persecute anyone. In fact it seemed as though he was not guided in life by any Catholic principles. I had a Catholic friend who said his lifestyle embarassed sincere Catholics.

Anyhow.

Sometimes I really wonder if this Romney bashing is not motivated by the Obama camp to get people to not vote at all so that he will win.

Just wondering...

For those who would desire that we be silent. And not speak bad news. That the glass be half empty. Then you better ask that 6 men not speak in Atlanta about upcoming persecution on the American church. For surely that is unwelcome, unpleasant news.

Again, the analogy of your local supermarket manager to the executive leader of the United States of America who has the red button to nukes at his disposal and all kinds of ther influential world power discretion at his fingertips is ludicrous.

I think the Lord is going to enable Mitt Romney to win so that all those who vote for him will celebrate and say "The Lord has shown upon us" (a leader in the Mormon church, a satanic cult, who has changed his position on issues like Abortion, universally controlled healthcare, etc. MULTIPLE times). There will be a renewed "hope" in America again, but no real change of the inner man of "Christians" (the masses of them for the most part), just again a symbiotic trust in Babylon which says ("God, country, family"), but really just speaks of nationalism and the same god she's been worshipping - one who's image and impact is different than the God of the Bible who impacts every facet of your life.

Some renewed hope will surface and we, like ancient Israel, will feel safe again with "our man" in the white house. And guess what folks? Judgement is still coming. Why? Because we are focused not on things eternal (the Body as a whole or even a majority), but things below.

In love, comparing the president of the USA (especially in this day of global politics, nukes, rumors of wars, the UN, the failing world economies, etc.) to a Krogers Manager is.......C'MON PEOPLE, we all know better than that, don't we? Do we not discern the days/time/hour we live in? I'm not yelling, I'm just blown away by that, really I am. Presidential Importance = Walmart Manager Importance? Really. Really? C'mon. Then I guess who is the leader of Israel or Iran matters as little as the local 7-11 clerk too, huh? Surely we have not "over-logically" rationalized away our ability to see beyond what the natural eye sees, have we?

i actually know of a lot of younger Christians who are voting for Obama. i have asked myself this same question ginnyrose about those who keep saying its so bad to vote for Romeny.

to those who are so afraid of what Romney will do what do you think Obama has planned? he is not a christian either. do you really think this country will be better off if Obama wins? do you think that God will judge the US less if Obama is president?

FYI - God is not bringing judgement upon America more or less because of who our president is/isn't. God's bringing judgement on this land for all the reasons I stated clearly earlier in the thread. Putting your hope in a man to save it (either one) will change that result not one iota. God has cried out in the streets for America to put her hope in Him again for many years now, and even especially those who are called by His name, but we would not. He's still preparing a remnant, but no man in the white house is going to change the decrees of the Lord.

I don't really care if your news is good or bad. I'm simply saying if you have a word from the Lord, then please share. But if not, then don't speculate about such serious matters in a flippant way. One shouldn't play prophet as it were some trivial speculative game. Have a higher standard for yourself and the Lord.

And by the way, the storm isn't going to hit Florida. It's hitting Louisiana. There is just some light rain at the RNC.

speculate? for as I am concerned, there is no prophesy here or any word from God, it's "ALL" speculation, because as you said, if someone has a word from the Lord, lets hear it! O no! now it's hitting Louisiana, what Romney camp associate can it kill there? The bias of politics now has carried over into SI, this is why there "in my opinion" should be a zero tolerance here for politics, all it does is cause strife. Old sluefoot is probably rolling on the floor laughing over this thread.

Brother I an dead serious about this thread. What I posted was an ibervation based upon discernment. It was never presented as a prophesy or word of the Lord. But an observation based upon the ofirection of where the country is headed. And the repercussions of what will happen if we put our trust in a man and not the Lord.

One can make observations and ask questions without claiming a prophetic word. I believe the prophetic writings themselves, the Old Testament, show what happened to Israel when they trusted a man and not the Lord. Those lessons need to be heeded by the American church.

So the hurricane missed the RNC. Fine. But the repercussions are still there if one gi es allegiance to Romney and nit to Jesus.

Jimmy if you disagree with my observation fine. But don't call it a false prophesy as it was not. For the hurricane moving toward the RNC was never given as a prophetic word but an observation.

But even if given as an o servation. We still ask what is God saying in this hour to us.

Bear I don't think Mr Bill was calling you Sluefoot or directing that at you. I believe he meant the enemy is probably laughing at us because of how this thread has gone.(just what I got from what he said)

Much love to you all in CHRIST JESUS and my prayers are still with you all in the storms path no matter where it ends up hitting. Also on a side note South Korea is getting hit with a typhoon today and into the night so maybe we could add them to our prayers as well.

Bear,

i knew when i read the OP, that a hellbroth of vituperative dialogue, diviseness and confusion would be sown.......oh, i aint mad at ya, or cross with you, but sometimes things are just best left unposted.

you notice i didnt say unsaid...unposted, i wrote.

my exhortation, what i heard from the LORD, was 'flee babylon'....how a saint, Blood bought tzadik lenses that thru God the Holy Ghost is between them and Jesus. sure i could unpack what i heard...or i see, but not yet, for He has hid me away with Him, to be still and know that He is God.

but there's two things i want to write to you my dear brother......first, see? see what happened?....what profit this?...c'mon, lets be honest and authentic...i KNOW it had to get you stirred up, and are we any closer to the Kingdom of God?

no!....you had to have KNOWN the response, and via all the usual respondents. of course we know that Mr. Romney is an adherent to the 'church of joe smith'.... whatever that 'church's' doctrine is....its unclean...why would any Blood bought saved sinner even waste a second delving into that old junk? its unclean....its all unclean...just like the whore of babylon is unclean, the spirit of babylon, unclean.....ALL of it, not even worthy of consideration IF our hearts yearn and bleed for a Heaven sent Holy Ghost revival.

more than that i will not say, except this, go down to Atlanta...may God bless the company of saints there for the conference, but as the LORD leads me, the coming persecution will not from the secular atheists, or those who spurn the Mercies of a Loving God....it will come from this bastard son of hell called the "church of america", some abomination where men with darkened hearts TRY and 'remake' Jesus into an idol, wrap Him up in an american flag, and if you dont "yes and amen" this new doctrine of demons....then they at the least lay your back open, if they dont just kill your body first.

its happened before...rome? hmm?...the 'church of england'?

and we HAVE seen the forerunners of this hellish configuration...."dominionist's"......'christian reconstructionists'....BRAZEN RANK UNCLEANESS.

Oh, but those will be glorious days!!!...when the True Bride of Christ prepares herself by fleeing babylon, and repents, because those were the Last Words of Jesus to the Church, "repent repent repent"...the Great Commission was to the disciples......"repent" was in Revelations, and it was to us, the Church, the Body of Christ.

if anyone thinks i'm off, then just listen to this wonderfully annointed exhortation/admonishment from Len Ravenhill, "Excellency of Knowing God" (Bear...promise me, you'll cut an hour from your day, and just listen to this, i promise all be blessed by Len here)

Is it not ironic...

That Isaac is scheduled to hit New Orleans 7 years after Katrina on the day when they have a gay Mardi Gras? What is the probability of this happening? Seven years after a devastating hurricane and now another one scheduled to hit.

Hmmmm.

I would hope these folks will be reminded of their position before God Almighty. You know what? If it causes only one person to repent, it will be worth the devastation hurricanes brings, right?

And you know something else? If only one person repents, we likely will not hear of it until you get to eternity.

My thoughts this morning as I watch closely the onward march of this apparent tame hurricane.

One more thought. As I look at the cone of its projected path, I see our county just outside the eastern edge which means we likely will not get an awful lot of rain...am wondering if farmers are praying to this end - you see the cotton bolls are opening and rain will effect its quality...and our area has thousands of acres devoted to cotton.

God bless.

Even more "ironic", is that both back then and now, it is arriving on the very day of the "Southern Decadence Festival". The largest, raunchiest, most internationally known, most openly perverse, and most revenue producing celebration of homosexuality on the planet. Hhhhhhmmmmm.

I will be praying for you and those in this storms path. I pray the rains will go where they are needed most to those affected by droughts and that the farmers in your area will stay unharmed :)

I also pray that many will call on the name of the LORD during this time and see their need for HIM. Storms like this have a way of showing us just how vulnerable we really are so I pray that many will come to JESUS!

God Bless

Looks like Isaac has upstaged the RNC. Even Diane Sawyer mentioned how the RNC was trying to compete for attention in the media. Just my observation.
