My husband has taken a turn for the worse. I dont have time to give all the details and am posting this from my phone. He believes that he is dying. I dont know if that is sis but I have released him to the LORD that HIS WILL be done. My husband has been suffering all night with pain and being unable to breathe (although his oxygen level is good). He has asked OUR FATHER desperately to take him home now or heal him now bc he cannot take it anymore. I see him resting now but I do not know what Gods answer will be. I trust that HE IS GOOD!! ALWAYS! Please pray and thank you.
URGENT PRAYER REQUEST FOR MY HUSBAND

Have been praying!!

Dear sister,
Just to let you know I am praying as well...
Shalom,
browny
I will be praying.
I am praying, please keep us updated. Peace to you as well.
Dear Romanchog, Praying for you, your husband, children and his care givers.
PRAISE THE LORD! He has raised my husband up. He is up and talking full of energy. He wad even hungry, which for him is in itself a miracle. It is a miracle. He was at the verge of death several times. I have never seen someone in so much pain. He felt death coming in. But OUR LORD who is GOOD has brought him through this. It is true that Christ has taught my husband things about Life and about this world and about Christ himself that we would never have learned. Praise God. I will try to post some of his insights at another time.
We are believing for a complete healing from this cancer. He is able. But it is not our will but His.
Thank you for your prayers. They make a difference!

How welcome is such good news on this morning. Praise Jesus
Awaiting your reports of the revelations.
Thank you for sharing,

sorry for my failure to update. it has been.a roller coaster, most of the time downhill. My husband is stable but still needs constant hydration by IV and is not eating much. That is the next battle. He is crying out to God for healing so that he can truly live for Christ to glorify His name and preach his word. I have been reading the Psalms to him out loud and there are so many promises there that God hears our humble prayers and that He answers them. It is hard to know this and still be so sick. It is also humbling to know that the Father did not choose to heal our dear Brother Jennings or Brother Kenanston, both of whom lived for Christ always, unlike my husband and I who have been very worldly until a few years ago. It makes me think that I am much more unworthy than they to be blessed by God with healing. But I will continue to pray.
My husband has been confessing daily things that lay hidden in his heart, even from him. He is holding fast to 2 Cor 4:2: "Having renounced the hidden things of shame." Having gone through this experience has given him a perspective of sin closer to that of the Father, who despises even the appearance of sin and any entanglement with the world. He has not been speaking much lately other than to pray.
Please pray that God will raise him up healthy and strong to lead our family in Christ and to serve Christ with all his heart, all his soul, all his mind, and all his strength. Pray also that God will give me strength to be my husband's strength and his caregiver. I have slept very little in the last couple of weeks, never more than a couple of hours at a time. I know the Lord is sustaining me. I also collapse emotionally sometimes to see my husband suffering and see seemingly no response from the Lord to my prayers, although I know in my heart He is GOOD AND FAITHFUL. WHERE ELSE CAN I GO BUT TO THE LORD?
Thank you for caring and for reading this. Thank you also for your petitions to the Lord on our behalf.
Natalie - from my phone
Natalie I will be praying for you and your husband. I was so moved after reading of your love and concern for your husband.
God bless you both and keep you
maryjane
just makes me weep...prayed for you both
Dear Natalie,
You, your husband and your family are often in my prayers. I read your posts and know that 'there but for the grace of God, go I.' How can I help but by prayers only. . . Thank God I know the that prayer is not mere words but words from my heart to God, our Father. He will not leave you comfortless, I firmly believe that. If there is something I can do, or if you want to talk email me.
Tell you husband not to worry about not having had much time in service. God knows our hearts and He is all knowing. If the desire is in your heart but the occasion not available, I truly believe he will consider your earnest desire. I don't think I am expressing this correct, I hope you understand what I mean.
with Love,
Janice
Oh Natalie, I don't LIKE roller coasters!! Not at ALL! I have been praying....I just got home tonite from hearing Bro Keith Daniel preach in Milwaukee....He was speaking to me, but this is also for you..."In the broader picture of life, we all become aware of God's hand in everything He allowed to come against us. Much is sent by the devil to destroy us, but it is allowed by God to make us. In the darkest moment, God is in perfect control to make you what He wants you to be." So very hard, I know.....Know that I am praying...
Dear Natalie,
Reading Psalms is wonderful, reading them aloud is even better. I have been praying for you and your husband just now.
There is comfort in this passage of scripture and I want to share it with you.
Hebrews 13:5 . . . and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
You are not alone. . . and I am praying.
It just hit me for the first time that I may be watching the last days of my husband's life and it is causing my heart to break. Regardless of my trust in the LORD that all that He allows is good, I cannot bear this sorrow.
LORD I BEG YOU TO PLEASE SPARE HIS LIFE. RENEW HIS BODY, FILL.IT WITH STRENGTH. GIVE HIM THE OPPORTUNITY THAT HE IS ASKING TO LIVE FOR YOU.I
Dear Natalie,
Your plea pains my heart. I have been trying to find some way to help. Last night I remmebered 6 years ago when my husband had Carotid surgery and afterwards began experiencing unexplainable complications. Watching him suffer and being unable to help was crushing. I never cried in his presence but in my room and in prayers my tears flowed. It was only by God that I made it through those times. It seems that even family fails me in trials. I was trying to think of something someone may have said that lifted my spirits and I realize the only voice that offered comfort when I needed it was that of the Holy Spirit. Sure, my Mother called but she was no comfort. I called upon God and He gave me sleep when I needed it and strength to do what was necessary.
When you read the Psalms to your Husband, they are being 'read' to you, too.
"LORD I BEG YOU TO PLEASE SPARE HIS LIFE. RENEW HIS BODY, FILL.IT WITH STRENGTH. GIVE HIM THE OPPORTUNITY THAT HE IS ASKING TO LIVE FOR YOU." Dear Natalie, a gentle reminder here to pray for His will not ours. As much as I would like to 2nd your prayer, I do not know God's mind, or what is ahead and I think it best to prepare to bow to His will. If you pray in this fashion and His will is otherwise you will have no comfort. If you pray for His will and your Husband recovers, you will have joy, if your Husband goes to be with Jesus he will have no more pain and will have great joy. God will take care of you no matter what.
Spoken in love,
Janice
Thank you Janice. I know you are right and that has been my position all along. Last night as I prayed I released my husband to the Father once more. I know that whatever the outcome, it is GOOD bc HE IS GOOD.It is watching the suffering and having so many setbacks that is so difficult. I wonder how much more I can take. I have other problems too. One of my daughters who is away from the Lord and refusing to come home and to even see her father in his illness bc of bitterness has developed cardiac problems. She has been having many fainting spells. I am desperate for her life, especially bc of her (lack of) position in Christ and my inability to help her in her illness as she refuses to live at home.
I wonder how much more I can bear. I mostly do not cry in my husband's presence. I know he needs me to be calm and strong for him. Family are well meaning, but there is nothing they can do physically, although their prayers are much appreciated. One particular family member has taken upon herself to make sure my kids are fed, which is something else I do not have to worry about. But as you said, it is the Holy Spirit that is OUR COMFORTER
Dear Natalie,
Your daughter will be in my prayers, too.
Is there any chance she is anorexic? Recently I had issues of heart problems/fainting and it was brought on by not eating enough. (I was not anorexic in the classic sense, just had reduced the amount I was eating to try and solve throat pain. I cut out too many calories as a consecquence.)
Job 13:15 Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him
Hold on, for He is holding on to you,
Janice
Janice: Yes, I have been thinking that this may be at least part of the problem with my daughter. She is a vegetarian, but she has never properly balanced her diet as she should. During the summer, she was placed on antibiotics by the college Clinic (I think they thought she had H. pylori). She has a very delicate stomach and this heavy dose of antibiotic messed up her digestive tract and she could not eat well for months. She lost a lot of weight. I have counseled her about her diet and also asked her to stop being a vegetarian until she recovers some strength at least. I don't know if she will do it. All I can do is pray for her.
Dear Natalie,
Will she eat yogurt? That can be very helpful with getting over antibiotics. I am guessing she in in College. She can make yogurt in a crockpot for the price of milk. 8 cups of milk makes 8 cups of yogurt. If she is interested I will give you the directions. Cuts the cost of it down considerably.
I will continue to pray for her and your husband and you.
I am grateful for your reply before I go to sleep, it is good to know you are able to get on line and read a little.
Sleep well, knowing you are in God's hands.
Janice
Dear Natalie,
Have you noticed how many views this thread has had? Over 900! In one of your posts you said, asking for your husband, "GIVE HIM THE OPPORTUNITY THAT HE IS ASKING TO LIVE FOR YOU." To testify to such a large number is a gift from God. Looking forward to seeing the fruit it produces but will have to wait until we join Jesus.
Praying for you and your family,
Janice
Dear Natalie,
Want to let you know you are on my mind and in my prayers.
God be with you,
Janice
I am praying too, Natalie...just haven't been able to post. Love, hugs, and prayers....
Praying...
Just do not ignore your own private time with the LORD during this time...it is essential for your own well-being. (I cared for a terminally ill adult daughter seventeen years ago. She was a 25YO with a husband and two children.)
God bless.

Dear Natalie,
There is no way to reach out to you except by this forum, I am comforted to remember you mentioned a family member who has been preparing meals for you. You and your whole family have been often in my thoughts and prayers these last four days. If you are reading these posts and not feel up to replying, that is OK, I understand and will continue to pray for you.
in love,
j
Dear Natalie,
You may be reading this but not feel up to posting, please know that I am praying for you and your whole family.
With love,
Janice
Thank you all for praying. I am sorry I have not updated more regularly. I have been soooo busy. We came home from the hospital last Saturday. Fortunately, we were able to come home with a service that offers IV fluids and pain managament via a patient controlled analgesia (PCA) pump at home, so my husband has not detriorated as he did other times. The kids are glad to have me home (finally!!!) as well as to be abe to see their Dad. He isvery weak. Still not eating, but he is drinking freshly exracted vegetable juices three times a day. That is great progress. He is still fighting nausea. I am praying for a remedy to that.
We have him camped out in our living room, since our bedrooms are upstairs and there is no way he could walk up or down the stairs. He can barely make the effort to move around in bed to adjust himself. It is frustrating to him to be so weak.
He had a new feeling yesterday that concerned me. Twice he had a pain in his chest which felt also like a burning sensation. This could be his heart or his stomach. He said it took away all his energy to deal with the pain. Eventually the pain goes away. Please also keep this in your prayers.
It is amazing how similar my husband's illness is to my Dad's-who just passed away in August. They have said the same things and had the same complaints. Having taken care of my Dad has prepared me somewhat to take care of my husband, although my husband is a lot sicker than my Dad ever was.
Thanksgiving is coming up, and we are thanking God for what He has done so far. My Spirit would like to spend the day in Praise and Worship.
Thanks all for you prayers.

Thank you for the update, Natalie...Don't feel badly - you have your hands more than full. It helps us to better know how to pray. I am glad you can find something to be thankful for though I am sure it is very hard. I, too, can look back to some extremely painful things in my life where I can see how God in His mercy was preparing me for what was next. Know that you and your family are in our prayers. May God be glorified! Love and hugs....
Dear Natalie,
Thank you for taking the time to share with us. It is wonderful that your Husband is able to be at home and with family. You will all be in my prayers,
Love, J
I have a new prayer request for my husband. He seems,to be developing an upper respiratory infection. While to you and me this may not be much, it is a huge thing for him. He has been prescribed oral antibiotics, which is silly since he cannot tolerate food yet and all antibiotics have always upset his stomach. I am praying that the LORD supernaturally heals him of this, or that he permit us to obtain the medication through my husband's IV.
My husband is very very weak. It is a big thing just for him to urinate because he cannot even lift his body out if bed without an enormous effort. If he gets any weaker, I will be unable to take care if him and I don"t know what will happen then. I am praying that God will not allow my husband to get any weaker and if He wills it that He can give him strength in his muscles and bones.
Thank you LORD Father for your goodness and mercy, for your pity on us and on our weaknesses. Thank you for Your Son Jesus and for Your great salvation. May we remember to thank you not only today but everyday.
Not wanting to seem trite, Natalie....But this verse immediately came to mind as I was reading your post, "Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities , in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: FOR WHEN I AM WEAK, THEN I AM STRONG..." (2 Cor 12:10)
I am sure you are so keenly aware that you can do nothing but fall upon Jesus...praying for you all...
I don't know if you even have time, but if you can get into caringbridge.org and read the early entries for Denny Kenaston, it seems his wife had many of the same experiences that you are going thru, and maybe you would find some comfort there....
God bless you!
Thank you for the verse. I know that mine and my husband's strength comes from the Lord. It is what scares me bc it means that God can expect me to go through any degree of suffering bc He is strong enough for anything.
I have been praying these verses from Acts 4:29-30.
29 Now, Lord ... grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.
I was reading this about a month ago and noticed for the first time that God's healing is a part of preaching the Word. That has been our prayer: that the LORD be glorified through the healing if my husband so that we may proclaim Christ to all.
Thanks be to God, even for my husband's illness. Through it we have been cleansed from the world and have a renewed perspective on sin and eternity. But the Lord Jesus did teach us to pray: "do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from evil." I grab on to the Lord; where else can I go?

QUOTE:
"I grab on to the Lord; where else can I go?"

This is all you can do and succeed - you could wallow in self-pity but to what advantage is that? All it does is feed your anger. Just lay your entire burden at his feet. Only then can you experience the comfort that he alone can give. When you are walking in his strength and comfort you will be equipped to deal with what comes. This must happen each and every day - this reliance must be accessed daily to be enduring.
I know it is very difficult to care for a cancer afflicted person, especially a loved one. Been there, done that.
God bless.
(We do pray for you all.)
Dear Natalie,
Praying for you, your husband, your family and his caregivers.

My husband says he does not have energy to breathe. I am watching him and he is taking shallow breaths. His respiration rate is 12 breaths per minute. I don't know if this is normal. I am praying for a resurrection power healing. Please pray for him to be physically strengthened and for me to be strengthened in Christ for him, for my.children, and even for myself.
Dear Natalie,
Many times during the day I do pray for you, your husband and family. I pray that God's will be done.
Lovingly,
j

You die if you let die...
Fiat: When I first read your post I thought you did not understand my husband's situation. But now I think maybe you understand it better than many. I keep weeping about him because it APPEARS to me that he does not make the effort to make himself better. I know that I am not the one who is sick, so I don't know what he is feeling, but every time I suggest he drink something he just says I don't understand or he makes a face at me. It seems that he is just letting himself die, and is content to just let me watch him do it. I may be judging him incorrectly, but that is just how I feel.
He will not let me push him (I am just his wife!- he has always been like that). He has a friend that can make him do things that I can't, but he is unable to come to see him until Wed. I am not sure my husband will be alert enough on Wed. to even listen. (It is also possible that this friend will not come; he offered to come last Friday and was unable to make it).
Somehow I think that if it was me on that bed that I would do whatever it took to get out of it, for my children's sake. He is so confident (and rightly so) that God will take care of us, that I don't think he considers that we need him.
Again, I am speaking from what I perceive externally. He does not speak much anymore so I don't really know what he is thinking.
Thank you for your concern and thanks for the encouragement and thanks for praying.
Natalie,
You posted, on Oct 20th on your other thread:
The results of the biopsy and the bone scan have come back. My husband has been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma in its most aggressive form. There is also some cancer already spread to his ribs and perhaps the femur. You may remember that the PET scan showed also all the abdominal lymph nodes already with cancer.
This is a diagnosis of death. However, we are trusting God for His Healing hand to touch my husband. We had already decided we were not going accept chemotherapy because even the oncologist told us it is not going to cure him. I am researching alternative ways of treating him, but it is be up to God if he gets healed."
I understand you are frustrated but if he does not want an offered drink, or food, you can not force him. Remember God is in control and in His wisdom, He may have removed your husband's appetite. Rereading the diagnoses it is apparent to me your husband must be in agony from the pain. It is understandable that he is not able to behave as you expect/want him to behave. You are distraught and may not understand that what you are expecting of him is not in him to give you.
"Somehow I think that if it was me on that bed that I would do whatever it took to get out of it, for my children's sake." You forgot to add, God willing to that proclamation. Please do not blame your husband for not doing something that God will not allow him to do. You will live to regret expressing these sentiments. I forgive you. I hope you ask your husband to do so before it is too late.
You need rest, I'm sure you are overwrought and not thinking clearly, I know I most likely would be in that situation. Remember, your husband is not laying in bed in that condition because it is his choice. If you don't know what he is thinking, consider perhaps he is praying for strength to get through the next hour. If you have never experienced pain as he is having you can not know how it consumes a person. He is not speaking because he is exhausted from this struggle.
You may want to tell him you love him and understand he may not be able to stay with you and do not blame him for it. Worry over that can only add to his suffering.
You all will be in my prayers,
ws

Natalie,
When Regina lay dying I saw her relinquish her children. I am sensing that is what you are witnessing in your husband. He is giving you all up so he can die. Natalie, this is not bad. Janice is right when she says that your husband is not in this situation because he chose to be.
In the meantime, I suggest you prepare for death. Talk this over with him, be honest, open, cry your eyes out if needs be, but do it! Plan his funeral - ask him what he wants done, make notes. Tell him your 'sorrys' 'I love yous' NOW. You may not have much time left. But if he recovers you did not lose anything. :-)
You said you have children...have him write out or make recordings of admonitions for his children. What trials does he expect his children to face in the future - address them and his advice on how to deal with them.
Natalie, too many people are in denial when a loved one is terminal. Doing so will enhance the grief that is sure to come once this person passes. (Trust me.) To have a hope of healing is fine, but you must also realize the Scriptures promise us that death will come to all UNLESS the LORD appears before this happens. To acknowledge that death is imminent is not a sign of lack of faith - it is being realistic and that is there where you will find God.
God bless.
ginnyrose
I appreciate all your admonitions. Thank you. While at first I was a little upset at what was said to me here, this morning (after praying the psalms last night) God also rebuked me. I again surrendered my.husband to the Lord for Him to do His will. I asked my husband to forgive me. I had to ask my.children to forgive me as well.
Thank you for not being afraid to say the hard things in love. It is painful to accept that he will likely die soon, but I must.
Please keep us in prayer.
Sister, I will be remembering you both in my prayers. I pray that you both find His peace through all of this.
I will continue to be praying for you as well. Keep looking to the LORD and know HE loves you both so much.
God bless you and your family

Dear Natalie,
Your post has been anxiously awaited and I am grateful that your response was not just sorrow but Godly Sorrow to repentance. You have ever been in my prayers and will continue to be there. Lord willing, even as painful as parting is, God will sustain you and your family. Draw them all close and love them for none of us know how long we have to do so. Special prayers for your husband, he is in God's Hands now and forever.
j
I have not ceased to pray, Natalie.....Know you are loved....
Natalie,
I would also urge you to involve your children as you prepare for death. Get them to share their love, frustrations with their dad. Have them speak it out with him. The reasons I am advising this is because the devil can use their dad's death to get angry with God and then turn them away from Him. This is what concerns me. If all the things are said that could be, it would be a sacred time for all. If perchance, the LORD does heal you husband, just know these acts of communication has not been wasted. But if the LORD does take him just know you have done all you could to prepare your children for his departure and now it is up to God to fill in the gaps.
When I was told by Dr. Malcolm Field that Regina is terminal I cried hard for two days...but I was led to live each and every day to the fullest, not worry about her passing. I made it a point to live like this, I did not worry about her dying, but did know that if/when she died the LORD would be with me to go through this. And he did.
Natalie, there are worse things in life then dying and that is to see your loved ones straying away from God. Now that is worse then burying a loved one who was ready to go.
God bless....and we do pray for you.
ginnyrose
Dear Natalie,
Praying for you and yours,

Thank you all for caring.
Last friday (Nov 30) my husband received some vitamins through his IV. This has changed his condition dramatically. On Saturday, he was up most of the day speaking with me and with the children. He also ate a small evening meal. On Sunday, he had 3 (!!!) small meals and was also feeling well. Last night he was able to lie down flat to sleep for the fist time in about 2 months. He has been getting out of bed and taking small walks in uor living room to strengthen his legs and aid in circulation. He has even begun making small jokes (he has always been a really funny guy, at least to me). He still looks pretty awful, though.
I do not know what the Lord is doing. I am afraid to hope that my husband is receiving healing, only to be crushed. In any case, I am appreciating every second of this time, and so are the children, who have been intimately involved in his care. I will continue with the preparations of his funeral just in case.
Yes, I have taken time to speak to the children about the (large) possibility of his death. I have made sure to emphasize that if this is God's will for us, then it is good for us, and that we will be allright (the older ones worry about the finances, since my husband has always been the main bread winner). I also told them that this does not mean that we will not sorrow, but we have a Comforter who comforts us.
And yes, ginny rose, I know that it is harder to watch someone stray than someone die. I have another post where I talk about my three wayward children (the oldest of my nine. Two of them have even refused to come see their father, even though he begged them to. It is even harder to watch someone die who does not know the Lord. My unbelieving father died just three months ago.
Thank you all for your continued prayer. It is appreciated.
Dear Natalie,
What a blessing to have an opportunity to spend quality time together. Praying for you all,
ws
Sister,
I cannot pretend to know what it is that is happening in regard to your husband. However, I do know that God is still in control -- no matter what happens. I pray that you know that God is closer than the mention of His name...understands your sorrow...and has compassion and love that is further reaching than anyone can understand.
Please keep us updated.
Natalie, thanks for the update - sorry, I did not see this earlier. Now we need to pray for your older children as well.
Yes, the comfort the LORD gives far surpasses anything you can imagine. The LORD did so to me...it was awesome...it is what has made Regina's passing acceptable.
God bless you all and may his face shine upon you and give you peace.

Dear Natalie,
Praying for you, your husband and your family.
Jesus loves us, this we know. . . .
Dear Natalie, Just a reminder that you & yours are in my prayers.
Thank you all for your continued prayer. My children keep having dreams that their Dad is healed and that God answered their prayers. It has affected my 14 year old son a lot. When he woke up from his dream, which he describes as being very vivid and real, and saw his dad still sick in bed he started weeping. Normally my son does not show much emotion, so this shows the depth of his sorrow. I have prayed for their sakes that God answers their sincere, heartfelt prayers full of faith in the God Who Heals.
This is romanchogs daughter. i wanted to ask you my dear brother and sisters to please pray for God to heal my dad if it is His will. You know some people might think " yeah,God can heal him but lets face reality" well the reality is God does heal. I remember in Acts when all the church was praying for Peter and God released him from prison. If they had not prayed Peter might have fallen asleep (died). And God does not heal only though the apostles for in Mark 16 Jesus says " and these thing will follow those who believe ... will lay hands on the sick and they will recover" and in James it says that if you confess your sins and the elders pray for u, God will heal him. And then it goes on to say that the prayer of a righteous man avails much. So my dear brothers and sisters please pray for my dad, please. Thank you (and forgive me for my inadequate grammar).
Will pray. And don't worry about grammar. :)
Yeah, Jesus as far as I know healed everybody. Keep knocking. May God grant your family mercy and heal your dad.
I have been praying as you ask....will continue....it is a fine line to pray in yieldedness to God's will, and still be praying in faith. The Lord knows your heart....Bless you for writing on your mom's behalf.... The Lord loves your precious family SO MUCH!
Hi, God bless you. What is wrong with your dad? I will pray. Remember, Jesus never healed a single person that never called out to him. He only healed those that called out, asked, or someone did on their behalf. Even the demons collectively called legion got their requests SO how much more a believing Christian?
Take heart and have faith in the one who gave His life for you and the one who you give your life too because He gave His.
God expects nothing from us but our trust in Him for every moment of the day. As the major said, "faith or trust, is like you trying to fly, you just can't no matter how high you can jump but, being a Christian, with the Holy Spirit, is like you getting on a plane, sitting down, (otherwise you'd look foolish running up and down the plane flapping your arms to help it take off), and just let the jet engines do all the work, the work they are designed for. And you fly because you put faith/trust in that plane. So honey, do the same with God. He has so much might and power. Trust is the key to this engine.
God bless.
Nick Robinson.
My husband left this world on Jan 1, 2013 at 5:05 am and is now in Heaven bowed down in worship before the throne of God and of the Lamb, his Lord. The funeral was held at the graveside at 1 pm Thursday Jan 3.
There is God's peace in our hearts.
Please continue to pray so that I may raise my children in the Fear of the Lord.
God bless you, Natalie, both you and your children. May He comfort and His peace rule your hearts, souls and mind in the days ahead as you adjust to this loss. Know that grief is OK, crying to help your body deal with it is OK, not to be shunned - just do not allow anger and bitterness to creep in and poison your soul. You know, Jesus also wept at Lazarus' tomb.
God bless and will continue to pray for you and your family...just know the devil will work to destroy what God gives but rest assured God is greater still.

Sister Natalie, you and your family are in my prayers. I am so sorry for your loss, though I know there is much peace in knowing that your husband is in paradise with Jesus and will be forever. Your faith through this has not gone unnoticed. God has seen it and I have been amazed by it. I know God will pour out His blessings on you and give you all that you need. He is your comforter. May He give you perfect peace and the guidance you need at this time. You are greatly cherished by the Lord. Cling to this, and when you struggle to do that, He will give you strength.
You and your family are in my prayers. May God bless you all.
Ryan
Dear Natalie & children,
Thank you for taking the time to post. I will continue praying for you & your children.
Janice
Precious Natalie
I have and will continue to hold you up to our faithful Lord.
It has been nearly 10 years since my husband went to be with the Lord. I can tell you HE is faithful.
You will find He goes before you. Perhaps it will be in providing a particular person for a need. Perhaps in a way you have been trained so you will know what to do. Or any one of hundreds of other ways. There will be times His presence is so strong it is almost as if you could turn your head quickly and catch a glimps of Him standing near.
Listen to His Spirit. There will be those who offer to "help" who have other motives. The Spirit will warn you. Even if you think, "That's silly!" just be on your guard.
There is so much more I would like to say but our Father will hold you close and go with you.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
I am praying.
REJOICE!
Mary
Natalie,
I have emailed you privately, but just wanted to say publicly that I agree with Ryan, your faith through this has not gone unnoticed, and I too, have been amazed by it....thank you for allowing us to share in this journey with you....you are loved!
Thank you all for your thoughts, encouragement and prayers.
It is the knowledge that this was God's will for my life and that of my children that keeps me going. If it was His will, then He must have a plan for it. I cannot see the plan, nor do I understand why He chose to leave me without my partner and my leader in this very difficult world. But I KNOW (though I do not see) that this must be good for me. I walk by faith and not by sight.
I long for a glimpse of heaven because right now it is all very intellectual. I want it to be real and to KNOW in my Spirit and in my heart that it is real.
I welcome any and all advice from all.
I am currently looking for work and also trying to start tutoring (which is what my husband use to do) and editing services (which is what I have been doing for the last 3 years). I would ask that you pray for guidance for the right job and that God close every door that He wants closed and open all He wants opened. I would rather work from home, since I have 6 children at home that I home school.
I would also like to ask that you pray for me to have wisdom as I raise my children alone. It strikes fear in my heart that I will mess up somewhere, especially somewhere important, with my children. My husband was so much wiser than I in this area, and always had the Word in his heart and in his mouth as an answer for everything. I relied on him and on him teaching us and leading us, and now have to develop this for myself.
Thank you so much.
Sister, I am sorry that I did not see this thread before now. I hurt for you and your family regarding the loss of your husband. You and your family will be in my constant prayers.
His eye is on the sparrow. He will take care of you.
It may help to know the area in which you live for possible vocational opportunities or a way to contact you (email address) for those who may feel led to help by other means.
Yes Sister it would be good if you could provide us with a contact opportunity so that those of us who are led to help you can do so. May the Lord bless you dear Sister and your six children in all good things and be your peace.
My e-mail address is posted in my profile for any who want to contact me. It is nroma002@fiu.edu.
I live in Miami FL. I do not have a congregation that I attend since my husband and I could never find a church that was truly a church and taught the Word in an unalduterated way. I am sure that there are some out there, but so far I have not found them.
Thank you, sister.
I will be praying for you to find a local body by which you can fellowship (and break bread) with. This is one of the areas in which local fellowship helps -- to assist those who are in need.
Also, I hope that those who are able and feel led can assist you in your need via the contact information that you provided.
