Yes, these are all good words and reminders to test the spirits to SEE if this is from God. Amen. Thank you all. May the Lord bring us into all truth.
I sent this out to many saints because I do not have all the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Yes, the Holy Spirit is my teacher, but He does not give me all the gifts and I have a measure of His Spirit. So, I need the gifts in the rest of the body and to learn what others our discerning in these matters which concern Christ and HIS Bride. I am learning, but I want to come to "the knowledge of the truth." Also, I am the least of the saints, but I am promised that I can know Him and indeed have fellowship with the Father and with His Son. So, I too was encouraged by Cahn's words regardless of his affiliations with other groups that are on the watch lists for false teachings and doctrines.
My heart is for revival in my own spirit and home, community, state, country and unto the uttermost parts of the world, that the name of the Lord and the gospel by the power of His Spirit would be proclaimed. Yes, my citizenship is in heaven and I am a pilgrim and should walk blamelessly before God and man, but I love my enemies and those who speak evil of me and the Christ who lives in me. My struggle is not with those who persecute the church, but with the principalities and wickedness in high places. May the Lamb who was slain receive the reward of His suffering!
"Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will; the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition rather than from pure motives, thinking to cause me distress in my imprisonment. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice."
"Test all things; hold fast that which is good."
These are some more beautiful words from the Apostle:
"I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience testifies with me in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh, who are Israelites, to whom belongs the adoption as sons, and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the Law and the temple service and the promises, whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen."
Praise for the LORD’S Mercies.
A Psalm of David. Psalm 103:
1Bless the LORD, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
2Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits;
3Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases;
4Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
5Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
6The LORD performs righteous deeds And judgments for all who are oppressed.
7He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the sons of Israel.
8The LORD is compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.
9He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever.
10He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.
12As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
14For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust.
15As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16When the wind has passed over it, it is no more, And its place acknowledges it no longer.
17But the lovingkindness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children,
18To those who keep His covenant And remember His precepts to do them.
19The LORD has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all.
20Bless the LORD, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word!
21Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will.
22Bless the LORD, all you works of His, In all places of His dominion; Bless the LORD, O my soul!
