Dear Brethren, this call is for everyone that has been blessed by this ministry and touched by it. Even thought it seems at this point in time that this ministry is bearing the most fruit for God and is being spread very far across the world, yet it is at its most vunerable and dangerous time of ministry. I believe the devil is working to try and dismantle and cause reproach on this ministry. This has been happening from many different circumstances. I would ask that you commit to pray intensly for this ministry that God would build it and grow it! that He would do it! Also praying for myself (greg) and the other 2 moderators (mike and jeremy) that we would be given heavenly wisdom on how to deal with issues and in making decisions for further growth on the site. Please do not take this lightly .. commit to pray... post a note on your fridge.. This ministry needs to be daily lifted up before God by many.IF you are willing to commit to this please post a reply and show your support in this area of prayer. As part of this I will be making a seperate email list for major prayer concerns, if your name is below you will recieve the mailing. There are (29) people praying daily for this ministry:Greg (sermonindex)James (Jimm)Ron (InTheLight)Rey (TheophilusMD)Chanin (moreofHim)Aaron (gtenigma)Neil (Neilgin1)Rich (relewis111)tony&dawn (TonyS)Mekdi (Mekdi)Rahman (Rahman)Robert (RobertW)Josh (PreachParslyStephen (Stephen2)Eli (Eli_Barnabas)William (_Disciple_)Dian (Spitfire)D.Miller (dohzman)Patrick (roaringlamb)Matt (Matt25)Mike (crsschk)Matt (madmatg)Geraldine (geraldine)Anonymous (worm)Paul (DezCall)Garrett (garoak)Julianne (janneju)Diane (roadsign)Yolanda (Yodi)
A Call to Prayer for SermonIndex!
I believe the devil is working to try and dismantle and cause reproach on this ministry. This has been happening from many different circumstances. I would ask that you commit to pray intensly for this ministry that God would build it and grow it! that He would do it!Greg, Mike Jeremy, you probably know this by now, but I will say it anyway, the Devil hates your guts along with those who are faithful to this ministry. The knowledge and revelation I have gained from this site is, revolutionary! Not only I, but those with whom I have contact gain from this ministry. God bless you all dear brothers and sisters. I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, The Almighty One, may give this ministry and community an spirit of impenetrable faith in Christ (our shield) and hope in his calling and that His love my abide in as many as he will touch. Amen. Please include me on the prayer list.James
Have felt a burden to pray for this ministry, will continue. Thanks again Greg for all your work in this minstry, what a tremendous blessing it has been in my life! I cannot tell you how much the Lord has washed my heart through the sermons I have listened to from SI. "Building Temple's with gold tried in the fire" should be SI's motto.Athough I haven't met anyone from here face-to-face, the electronic fellowship has been precious. Thank you Mike and Jeremy for your work also.In Christ,Ron
Please include me, too.
You can count me in. This site has been a blessing to me in so many ways. I know the Lord will continue to use SI for His glory. This is HIS site and was inspired by Him through Greg.Though things may seem a bit shaken up for now, He tests us and sees how we will respond, how we will handle ourselves and if we will show our Christ-likeness (and who doesn't). He is sovereign and allowing all things to work for His good. Press on, brothers and sisters! God will get His glory! :)In His perfect love, Chanin
Count me in also. Aaron
I have been and will continue to pray for this ministry and for you Greg. Now its time for all of us to put "legs" behind these prayers (as Ian Paisley says) and be very very circumspect as to what we post. To God be the Glory and the victory.Neil
When I found this site I was like a kid in the candy store, and I was hopeful and blessed to continually discover more and more Truth and Light. I will pray for us all and the unity and strength of the Word to be revealed. I will pray to be free of strife and stand fast in love, with everyone here as brothers and sisters and members of one body.Rich
I am willing, count me in. I could sit here for a good while and relate to you how immeasurably my wife and I have been blessed by just the downloaded sermons from SI. My wife alone, last year made a commitment to download and listen to three sermons per week from SI on her mp3 player...praise God !!We refuse to be ignorant of Satan's devices. And so we will pray for this important Ministry. In Christ, tony&dawn
Greg, God bless you bro. I please include me in your list also you are not alone in this.Mekdi
Brother Greg,i have been, am now, and will continue to pray for SI ...This site is a pure Godsend for those of us not content with just an outer Courtyard, or even Most Holy type of salvation experience with God, but we who long for, and wish to sustain, that highest Holy of Holies intimacy with Him ... i know that Christ ripped the veil, but i don't think there's a mad rush by many to enter ...SI has certainly been my raven in the wilderness, in that the sermons Holy Spirit has fed, and is feeding me with here, sad to say have far more spiritual nutritional value than anything i'm getting at the church banquet ... And the "Forum" has allowed me to put my faith in Jesus, and my faith in the vision(s) i believe Christ has given me personally, out into the atmosphere uninterrupted ... i have to tell you that in regards the latter this has been like spiritual catharsis for me ... So thanks be unto God first, then you, the moderators, and all the SI family whom i love in Christ without exception ... AmenBr. R
Yes Bro. Greg count me in also. God Bless,-Robert
Yes I would like to be added to the prayer mailing list.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,I am very encouraged by the overwhelming response to become aligned with this ministry in this important facet of prayer. I am praying that this list of right now 13 individuals will expand greatly. To God be the glory great things He is doing.
This last week i have been praying daily for sermonindex and I will continue to do so. This site has been a tremendous blessing! Thanks.Stephen
Include me on the list, brothers, my family and I too have been blessed by this ministry!
This last week i have been praying daily for sermonindex and I will continue to do so. Bless you brother Stephen and all of you who are committing to pray.James 5:16b (NKJV) - The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.EDIT: righteous men and women = man :-P
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.I hope this goes for ladies as well. :-D In Him, Chanin
I hope this goes for ladies as well.Amen. Some of the most powerful prayer warriors today are women. There is something so special about hidden intercession with God. The work that glorifies God the most will be the hidden work of prayer. At the judgement seat much public ministry will burn due to wrong motives. The prayer call is something to catalyst and encourage renewed daily prayer for SermonIndex so that this ministry may glorify God and bring honor to the lamb that was slain. Thank you everyone for becoming a part of this, your prayers are precious gems to me.
Dear Greg, count me in, that Gods Name shall be more glorified on SI, for His Name sakeWilliam
The knowledge and revelation I have gained from this site is, revolutionary! Not only I, but those with whom I have contact gain from this ministry. Oh yes! Thank you Greg and all my friends here. I do and will continue to pray for you all. I'm sure I don't show my gratitude for your being here nearly enough. At this point, I would sorely miss this website if you were not here. Love, Dian.
I have and I will keep this site and you folks in prayer. It would probably be good if a journal of prayer promises - scripture - that we each felt the Lord speaking on behalf of this ministry, was posted , for the encouragement of all.
I have and I will keep this site and you folks in prayer. It would probably be good if a journal of prayer promises - scripture - that we each felt the Lord speaking on behalf of this ministry, was posted , for the encouragement of all. That is a great idea brother, I encourage everyone that is praying for this ministry to post these promises and scriptures they feel that the Lord is giving them towards this ministry. If you are wanting to join in this supporting ministry in daily prayer please post a reply letting me know who you are so I can add you to the list.
I will pray as well. Thank You for your obedience to the Lord in continuing this ministry. May all the glory and honour be to our Father in heaven.pat
I will pray as well. Thank You for your obedience to the Lord in continuing this ministry. May all the glory and honour be to our Father in heaven.patThank you brother Pat and others for your daily intercessions.
Will continue to pray for this website which has been a major blessing for myself and so many others.
Feeling a little embarassed and sheepish but ...um, could I be added to the list here? I do think and pray about this place from time to time... ;-)
I'll gladly pray for the moderators and the site. It's been an awesome blessing. Also; are you guys done with live sessions or are you just waitin for the summer to hit again?ThanksMatt
Feeling a little embarassed and sheepish but ...um, could I be added to the list here? I do think and pray about this place from time to time... ;-) hehe thats an understatment Mike. Also; are you guys done with live sessions or are you just waitin for the summer to hit again?I am praying about this and yes I would like to have this working but I need to secure a better more stable technology and hopefully get more speakers to participate! It would be a blessing but I do think I need more financial support for this specific endavour. Please pray that God provides the necessary support to have this as an intergal part of this site and ministry.
Please continue to pray for this ministry and if you want to commit to praying daily then just reply to this post and I will add you to the main list on the first post. I am going to work on a prayer sheet that you can print off and post somewhere so you can remind yourself to pray for all the workings of this ministry.
Greg I have been and will continue to be on my knees at 10 PST everynight, both for this website and asking God to revive His church and His people. Ever since you started that thread, "Prayer Neglected".what a blessed ministry God has given me on my knees!!
Also praying for myself (greg) and the other 2 moderators (mike and jeremy) that we would be given heavenly wisdom on how to deal with issues and in making decisions for further growth on the site. Please do not take this lightly .. commit to pray... post a note on your fridge.. This ministry needs to be daily lifted up before God by many.I know decisions like this are not to be made lightly but i have this morning commited myself to remember this ministry in my prayers along with my in-laws ministry.I read something this morning by Matthew Henry:'We must abide by the duty of prayer, whatever change there may be in our outward circumstances, and we must continue in it as we live in the world. We must perservere in a particular prayer; not cutting it short, when our hearts are disposed to enlarge, and there is time for it, and our occasions call for it. We must likewise perservere in particular requests, notwithstanding some present discouragements and repulses. And we must pray with supplication, not for ourselves only, but for all saints; for we are members one of another. Observe, none are so much saints, and in so good a condition in this world, but they need our prayers, and they ought to have them'.
Geraldine and all the saints.Thank you so much. This is incredibly humbling. If anything I have learned from Greg and maybe it hasn't quite sunk in even yet, it's that he has never been afraid to ask for prayer, for himself even as for this ministry.Earlier in this thread:Chanin stated:I hope this goes for ladies as well.Amen. Some of the most powerful prayer warriors today are women. There is something so special about hidden intercession with God. The work that glorifies God the most will be the hidden work of prayer. At the judgment seat much public ministry will burn due to wrong motives. The prayer call is something to catalyst and encourage renewed daily prayer for SermonIndex so that this ministry may glorify God and bring honor to the lamb that was slain. Thank you everyone for becoming a part of this, your prayers are precious gems to me.Couldn't concur more with Greg here, there is something intangible that you ladies bring to us all.Pro 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.Pro 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.Snatched the subject line from Ron above and think this is also a wonderful idea; From dohzman; I have and I will keep this site and you folks in prayer. It would probably be good if a journal of prayer promises - scripture - that we each felt the Lord speaking on behalf of this ministry, was posted , for the encouragement of all.Taking off on that, maybe it has already started right here and instead of beginning a new thread perhaps we could continue this idea within this running posting. It has already been an encouragement this morning especially.Couldn't begin to tell of how often going away from here a thought, a comment, an utterance, a concern, a rethinking, a cry... Has replayed throughout the day in prayer for and from members of this growing family, Oh! A perfect scripture(s) came to mind;Joh 17:9 I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. Joh 17:10 All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. "Tried in the fire" has been much of recent experience of late, and perhaps if I had my wit's about me would have humbled myself before you all and asked for prayer. Likely it is in the sense of being less concerned in all honesty of me, of myself, but a tangling of want to die to everything that must die and yet still realizing that without prayer for all that happens here, for all that frequent and contribute their hearts and experience, this ministry could and likely would have cannibalized itself by now.I believe that SI has been borne and carried on the wings of prayer.that we would be given heavenly wisdom on how to deal with issues and in making decisions for further growth on the site. Please do not take this lightly .. commit to pray... post a note on your fridge.. This ministry needs to be daily lifted up before God by many. That is truly a necessity, we are by no means able to know how so often because of so many variables especially as it relates to this forum. Patience with each other and help from everyone by keeping ourselves humbled with each other and again prayer... In no way do we have this all figured out and often stumble in our attempts to keep the unity of this body of believers without compromising the Truth. It is a noble effort that everyone is part of and without making too much of it, set apart in some ways as it has been stated before elsewhere; That this is more of a family than a random place towards 'anything goes' even as it is out there in the public viewing. That, hopefully is brought to bear on us all and redundantly, the world is watching how we conduct ourselves, that this might be said of us all;Joh 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. And by that, whoever may be looking in on us might be drawn to our Lord, ultimately that is all that matters. To quote from Chanin; This is HIS site
OK. Count me in.
This is a God-given site with God-given saints and it needs God-given-guidance to remain a God-glorifying-place!!If anything I have learned from Greg and maybe it hasn't quite sunk in even yet, it's that he has never been afraid to ask for prayer, for himself even as for this ministry. We find Jesus on His knees until the very moment in which men took Him away to be crucified. I think that reveals something of the importance of prayer and being alone with God.For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor 10:3-5)Satan trembles when he sees, the weakest saint upon his knees!Lord, use this site for Your glory. May people all over the world be confronted with your delivering Truth! May this site be used to raise up men and women who will start warfare on their knees, instead of battling with the weapons of this world: marketing, entertainment, reason and emotionalism. May the Holy Ghost consume all our wordly tactics and methods and thoughts and ways to reach the unreached and the un-believers. May we become witnesses again, instead of entertainers. May we become a people "who know their God" and trust wholly in Him! You're the only one who is able to shake the world and turn it upside down. May our hearts go out to the individuals, Lord. Help us not to set our minds on high things, but to associate with the humble. But also, Lord, help us to except the impossible from You. In Jesus name, amen!
Paul...This is a God-given site with God-given saints and it needs God-given-guidance to remain a God-glorifying-place!!Rendered speechless...
It is easy to take for granted the finest of wheat on this web site, the many words that have contributed in changing my life!By God's grace i will lift up this oasis to the leading of the Holy spirit, and may he ever be in control of it may God bless those who are involved in it.The opposition of hell will come against this work. let us hold up the arms of Moses so Amalek does not Prevail! Behold! the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. In ChristGarrett O'Regan :-)
I will pray also
EveryoneThere are (27) people praying daily for this ministryThank to everyone that are praying for this ministry on a DAILY basis. This ministry really is depended on the prayers of Gods saints. The enemy doesn't want prayer to be given up for this ministry daily. Thank you all you Christian soliders!
This ministry really is depended on the prayers of God's saints. The enemy doesn't want prayer to be given up for this ministry daily. It would not be hard for the enemy to plant some tares (weeds), hoping to sabatoge the work of God through them. That's why prayer is so vital. Also, the enemy desires that those running the site drift from their reliance on God, and start running it based on their own desires and expectations. It is very, very tempting to take over the reigns of God's work without realizing it. I have been on a number of Christian forums over the past years, and I know how easily a forum can drift off course - even to the point of having to close. I don't want to discourage anyone, merely encourage them to be alert for the prowling lion.I will pray for this site - with these thoughts in mind. It is a fabulous site, and may God preserve it for his glory!!!!!!! Diane
One afternoon not to long ago as I was reading I decided to sit back and relax some and as I did my mind wondered to SI and I thought about this site and its many resources. My thoughts were interrupted when , whether awake or not --couldn't tell---I saw and arm reach from Heaven with a gold spoon in His hand and I understood it was pointing toward the whole of SI. So when I came to my senses I ran a quick reference in gold spoon. Diane,Bless you, this year more so than in the past it seems the truth of this was brought to bear as things did in fact begin to get very much off track and some rather ugly divisiveness came in.Prayer sustains all this and it is an area that cannot be stressed enough. Keep Greg lifted up that he will be supported and always rely on the Lord for all that goes through here.
DianeThank you for your daily prayers. I do appreciate your heart and your words of encouragement and truth.D. MillerMy thoughts were interrupted when , whether awake or not --couldn't tell---I saw and arm reach from Heaven with a gold spoon in His hand and I understood it was pointing toward the whole of SI.WOW this is pretty awesome. I know God is working in many peoples lifes here at SI and that many of the heart desires for revival and an genuine Christian life is an incense to God in these last days. Thank you for sharing this, I do believe God is doing something special at SI. Keep this ministry in daily prayer.
Thank you for all that are praying. More and more I am realizing how tangible that the prayers of Gods people are in my life and this ministry. We are not unaware of the devils devices!
God's been giving me more and more of a heart for this ministry. As the Lord leads, and puts heavy on my heart, I will continue to pray for Sermon Index, all those involved in the Forum community, and for myself concerning my example and involvement.
YolandaThank you for praying for this ministry. It is great to see God give a burden to specific people for this ministry. I would ask you pray for me also individually over the time I have to spend updating and working on the site. And pray for the sermon materials that go out that they would really touch and change lives. It is good to pray for the active members of this site but the real need for prayer is over ALL the anonymous people that download and hear the messages that they would be built up spiritually.
Yes. I pray for you, specifically when you update and work on the site. I'll pray more for the effectiveness of the sermon downloads, other free resources, and all the anonymous people. [smile]
Hey, I haven't been around in a long while. But I would have to say that this website was used by God in clearing my mind of a lot of things the world had made cloudy. My personal revival came about from hearing about Charles Finney from the website. I picked up his book that had been in my parents house all these years and it restored so much of my memory of what was true and real about God. I have given Ten Shekels and A Shirt to so many people, and have seen how it impacts their lives. Although I dont care for the forums here, I love you Greg, and this site. I pray that God blesses it with long continuance and impact, and that He would guard it from attack as long as He has destined it to exist. Praise God.John
About six years ago, I told my friends, to go out and buy up all of the classic books that they could, because I felt the Lord saying, it would get harder to get them. So we all did. Then our mega-big Christian Book Store Chain, quit selling them. Then less and less could be found elsewhere.None of us had computers at the time. And when I moved south from up north, where there's a church on almost every corner, you try to talk about the Classics, and nobody knows what you're talking about. The sad part was,,that we moved to the Bible Belt because New England was so spiritually dry.Well, t'ain't much different down yonder, as they say.So you know how shocked and thrilled we were to find this site. And to be able to talk to folks who read the same books that we've read for 30 yr.s and love so much. Now, I'm happy to say, my friends and I do have computers and they all have this website.Spread the word !(There's a famine in the land.)Anyhow, I also felt hesitant to Forumize ... ha.But we're family, and we'll meet Someday anyways, so we may as well get a head start in spending time together. :-) I thought yesterday's Oswald Chambers Devotion spoke so much to how we should feel about each other or get along - besides the verses commanding we "fervently love each other without dissimulation" type.If it's O.K., I'd like to post it here.I'll bold it for easier reading. (This font is killing me - getting old I guess :)Praying.July 30 The Teaching of Disillusionment Jesus did not commit Himself to them . . . , for He knew what was in man —John 2:24-25 Disillusionment means having no more misconceptions, false impressions, and false judgments in life; it means being free from these deceptions. However, though no longer deceived, our experience of disillusionment may actually leave us cynical and overly critical in our judgment of others. But the disillusionment that comes from God brings us to the point where we see people as they really are, yet without any cynicism or any stinging and bitter criticism. Many of the things in life that inflict the greatest injury, grief, or pain, stem from the fact that we suffer from illusions. We are not true to one another as facts, seeing each other as we really are; we are only true to our misconceived ideas of one another. According to our thinking, everything is either delightful and good, or it is evil, malicious, and cowardly. Refusing to be disillusioned is the cause of much of the suffering of human life. And this is how that suffering happens— if we love someone, but do not love God, we demand total perfection and righteousness from that person, and when we do not get it we become cruel and vindictive; yet we are demanding of a human being something which he or she cannot possibly give. There is only one Being who can completely satisfy to the absolute depth of the hurting human heart, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord is so obviously uncompromising with regard to every human relationship because He knows that every relationship that is not based on faithfulness to Himself will end in disaster. Our Lord trusted no one, and never placed His faith in people, yet He was never suspicious or bitter. Our Lord’s confidence in God, and in what God’s grace could do for anyone, was so perfect that He never despaired, never giving up hope for any person. If our trust is placed in human beings, we will end up despairing of everyone.
Hi GrannieAnnie,What a delight you are...About six years ago, I told my friends, to go out and buy up all of the classic books that they could, because I felt the Lord saying, it would get harder to get them. So we all did.We have had a few previous discussions around this, one of our 'own' here works in a similar setting and last check at the one around here has seen the classics section all but disappear. Found this line over at Hovelaudio:"Who we rely on while journeying toward spiritual maturity is as important as our decision to seek help. Hovel believes people today gain priceless spiritual insight by learning from those who have gone before them. What C. S. Lewis dismisses as “chronological snobbery” — a disdain for all things old — is a step away from real spiritual growth. One positive step towards growth involves embracing the many time-honored writings of thoughtfully devotional women and men throughout Christian history. In this way, tested and enduring insights nourish a healthy spiritual life in our own time." That really stuck. Musing on all this of late even with recent threads here towards certain... ways... of going about ministry, thoughts were running along the line of something other than a Carte' Blanche labeling of false but more of an avoidance, i.e. the Lewis quote above. One of the rich blessings that branches out from this place is the influences of 'like minded' saints of 'old' (actually none of it is old at all, just forgotten, neglected), those who's lives the Lord used to affect them and that wonderful searching out and finding their influences. Spiritual truth never gets old.Certainly not to say what it's not saying, that what's current is of no help, just the depth of insight, the lack of dishonesty in reality... Tozer's better at this:To speak of the "deeper life" is not to speak of anything deeper than simple New Testament religion. Rather it is to insist that believers explore the depths of the Christian evangel for those riches it surely contains but which we are as surely missing. The "deeper life" is deeper only because the average Christian life is tragically shallow. Coming full circle, would hope that anyone reading through this would key in on the subject heading, taking some time to seriously pray for this place and it's creatures and for Greg. It's not an end unto itself, but unto the end Himself.
I'll pray also. You can add me to your list.
Hi my fellow brothers and sisters I would love to pray for SI. That the Lord would graciously pour out His Spirit more and more upon His children and that SI would continue to be a place where christians can fellowship, with one another in the presence of the Lord and that the Lord would make us all in one accord in His heart and His loveBlessings to all brothers and sisters in Christ Craig :-)
Please add me to the prayer list for SI.
May the Lord continue to bless this site, also the ones responsible for its content, and everyone of its faithful seeking visitors daily, love in abundance to all. Amen
I will pray. Blake
My wife Sandi and I have been praying and will continue to do so.
Praise God you saints!Compelled to share a bit of this mornings experience. Have found as it often is, this life, this incredible journey is full of mystery and to borrow I believe from the sentiments of Dohzman, curveballs... Just when you think you have it figured out...And that is a great part of it all. The lesson in who we are and who He is. That it is the Lord who is in control. Excuse my exuberance if need be but I am just astounded how full of twists and turns, how expectant we ought to be of surprises, wonderful surprises from the Lord at any given moment. The last couple of weeks have been a mighty struggle to pray along the lines of what was more or less normative. It was a fight and yet a flight to grasp and wrestle myself into a discipline... to pray. Wanting to be starkly honest here. It was almost a weird spiritual panic in a sense. When the strangeness of soul seems to be at odds with the Holy Spirit, knowing what ought to be done, sensing what I can only describe as a 'calling to the floor' and yet resisting it. Such foolishness! And yet while there was still prayer it might stop short and run off to attempting to find whatever it was I felt was needed elsewhere. Evasive. Started grabbing books off the shelf, read a bit here and nah, that's not it. Grab another, "Revival...." Yes, but.. no that's not it. "Prayer..." Yes, but... Maybe something of encouragement from a past saint, something practical and real, something I could feel. And of course the scriptures themselves. John, always the saint that draws and David, Davids "Oh!" Seeking rest and peace and abandonment, surrender again. What is it? The Lords Presence. Felt. Laying hold of Him who has laid hold of me. Even with the echo's of trust that Chambers spoke of in not having that. This tid bit hardly doing justice to the exasperation of all that comes up out of just pure striving. striving to let go on the one hand and grasp on the other. And a million other things, a zillion other expressions and all the questions breaking forth from musing and considering, questioning. Not sure there really is a point to all of this, but this morning the surprise was from a bit of carry over from last night when the Lord in His graciousness brought forth that smallest taste of sense, that He was near and of course is He not always? 2 hours flew by in what seemed 10 minutes and the duties that need to be addressed found a breaking off as if the Lord was intimating, "you must rise and go now" and I was pleading to stay just a few minutes longer. The contrast between the two. One a struggle to get in, the other a struggle to depart. To just stay and be silent and to supplicate and to worship and praise God for everything. And you, you saints here, your names coming up in rapid succession, even those who have long since departed from here due to whatever variety of reasons, misunderstandings. So it was a great thing to see this back up again. If we stop to think about it, praying for SI is also praying for ones self (not that "self" as in selfishness, but the true self, the Lords self ...). Praying that the Lord might rule over all that comes through here and all who do come through here. That whatever our perceived differences are might be molded into His will and His expression of what He meant in ;Joh 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. And of course ultimately to come to this knowledge;Joh 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.Pray on saints. Pray on!
Yes, I will join in prayer daily.Job 27:11 I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.this passage reminds me of SermonIndex.Eileen
Please add me to the list. I am already lifting this ministry up in prayer to the Throne of Grace (Hebrews 4:16) and I would like to receive the prayer updates with more specific ways to pray.I praise God for this ministry. Most churches do not preach the Word of God like they should and that drives those that are hungry to other resources.I am reminded of the words of the prophet Amos and how they can apply to this world we live in."Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD." Amos 8:11Praise God for this site where Christians can be encouraged and blessed by the Word God being preached uncompromised and also by the fellowship of other Believers. Thanks Greg, Mike, and Jeremy for your service to our LORD. Many lives are being touched and changed! You all remind me of Galations 6:10, "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." ;-) Let us keep praying, saints! "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:10-11And, "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints." Ephesians 6:18Looking unto Jesus,Joy :-) Hebrews 12:1-3
