These are troubled daysI want to live my life for YouAnd point the way…If I were a singer I’d sing my song for YouAnd my pen would point out all the truth You’re made ofAnd the only thing that I could sing would be LoveI would sing it to the faithless who once received itUntil the children of Your wayward church believed itI would sing it to the governments and it’s leadersTo all the writers who have misled all the readersI would sing it, though they jail me… and they kill meLet them empty me of life, for You have filled meJesus, You have filled meKrispy
MY FINAL POST/THREAD
Krispy,Great poem! What do you mean by "My last post." You're last post today, or for good?I have enjoyed your perspective. I think your conservative views are much needed here and wherever you go.Blessings,TR
I think your conservative views are much needed here and wherever you go.Most here disagree with you on that point. There comes a time to go...Krispy
Well I am one of those who is not going to post as much or at all. Krispy has been like a stabliser on this website, and also someone who will rebut anything that is not sound doctrine. That kind of opinion is much needed in a forum such as this, because many have different ideas and intrepretation, even though we may say there is only one teaching, yet we have so many on the one topic. But nevertheless, when we lose one watchdog, how many more are left? I think there are few and far between. Sad :-(
Good grief...Time for some bluntness. This is ridiculous, are we that easily offended? Are we that stinking important in our particular opinions that a few wrestlings over matters causes us this amount of distress? No one wants to humble themselves before each other or pause and consider before being injured in their pride, pack up the marbles and go home? Are we so self important to pronounce ourselves 'watchman' and 'prophets', but not servants, willing to take a low road? Have the emotions taken over? Just pleading for some honest soul searching here, a lot of this stuff is just so childish, not 'childlike'.I don't know if I am sorry or not, not angry and it's just two bit's from the rambling fool, likely will regret it, it will be misunderstood.Where pray tell is the consideration and not just a reactionary jump to everything? Do we not ponder these things in our hearts, mull them over? What about everybody else? Do their thought'sjust get tossed aside when they don't automatically jive? Why the presumptions upon presumptions that constitutes 'harassment' or being misunderstood as something so injurious as to want to break fellowship over? I am sorry if I am not getting it here, but it just stinks of 'self'.Why leave when you can help?
Mike Balog, I love you, I really do.I am not leaving, I am going to observe more than anything, and I will be leaving posts here and there, just not as much as I was doing before. Krispy is going to keep in touch as well, he will be coming in and observing. I can assure you that Krispy is not at all offended, nor am I. Mike your the best bro. Mellow ;-)

Bro,I know that I appreciate your input. I don't always post on threads you have replied to, as I have nothing to add that hasn't already been said. My question is, why do we all have to focus so much on our differences and major on them? This is how people get hurt. If I have rebuked anyone here (I usually do it privately), it's been with a heart of coming to a greater understanding of Christ, and who He is, in actuality (as opposed to my 'romatic notions' and 'doctrinal veiwpoints'). Usually, it's out of my own disagreement, that I want to clarify, so as to discover whether it's me that neeeds to adjust.Since I have been here, my knowledge of Christ (as opposed to knowledge ABOUT Christ) has turned to such a degree, that I often wonder if I ever knew Him at all before. I was advocate of "prosperity doctrine", justifying it as not being about "name it claim it", and yet failing to recognise the humanistic idea, that God "want you to be rich". I accepted the sinner's prayer, as the means of salvation. Then rejected it, confused about how to outreach. Then learned of the proper use of the Law, which enabled me to fullfil my long known awarness of a call the envagelism. Even my view of the call to evangelism, changing from the guy who preaches to multitudes, to the guy who works the street corners, to the guy "preaches the gospel" as he "goes into all the world".I have gone from being a christian who embraced some things, and rejected others, to a believer who ignores stupid things, but majors on essentials (most of which I formerly considered to be "minor things"). I went from a "faith" that was "practicle", to a faith that "works".All this came about as a direct result of arguing with the likes of Bros Greg, Mike, and Lars (for those who remember him) over the validity of guys like Hagin, Hinn, Browesville, Gold Teth, "chritian" rock music, etc. Since when does "iron sharpen iron" with producing a few sparks? The true beauty of this place, is the ability to discuss complex themes and doctrines, and yet continue to love each other. I can remember early conflicts between Greg and Ron (Philogos), with would sizzle with angst, but all the while they remained good friends (would you post preaching, on your own site, by someone you believed to be "off" or worse?). There are threads here, buried in the past, where people have publically attempted to defame Greg Gordon, that were not deleted, but rather locked, and retained as a monument to the the integrity of the man of God who started this snowball rolling. Please, if it's a matter of not being able to handle the "criticism", then that's fine I understand, it can be quite painfull. But please, from one brother that is of a heart to see the church come into truth (myself included), may I invite you to read into our comments, to hear this heart beating, rather than tripping over our inability to articultae effectively. Are their people there who are malicious? Absolutely, but they don't last long. Either they leave frustrated, or they are booted. You, my friends, have not been booted, so please feel welcomed, even if we have a funny way of showing it. :-)I think your conservative views are much needed here and wherever you go.Most here disagree with you on that point. There comes a time to go...Krispy
KrispyI've got your email add so I will holla at you from time to time to see how you are.
Mike... what the heck? I thought you of all people here had a pretty good understanding of me and where I'm coming from. Suggesting that I'm leaving because I'm offended shows how much of an assumption that was on my part.Brother, I'm NOT offended by anyone or anything on this site. I'm saddened, yes. Offended, no.Saddened by the recent surge of ecumenical attitudes on this site. Saddened that valid discussion of false heretical doctrines is confused by some to be personal attacks on Catholics. Saddened that a strong stand for the KJV is now considered to be blasphemy against the Holy Spirit by some here. And people wonder why there needs to be guards on the walls? This website makes up about 2% of my life, and is hardly worth the stress it causes at times. However, I've made many friends here and for that I am grateful, but I do not care to be the point of controversy anymore. There does come a time to shake the dust off... thats scriptural. One of my biggest detractors on this site at the moment refuses to resond to my PM's, and I had hope they would so maybe we could work things out privately. If this is the way the site is going, so be it. There are hundreds of others out there.I do not leave over offense. Let's get that straight. What stinks, Mike, is that you obviously gave no consideration that perhaps I prayed about this before I made my decision. And the assumptions you made about me here in this public forum is what hurts because I've always considered you to be one of my greatest allies here. Someone who may not always agree with me, but at least understood me.That is the great "cyber-trap".Krispy
I pray that you take what I am about to write as valid word from the Lord, and NOT something I just cooked up in my flesh. How do we know this is from the Spirit? Because there are 5 other things I want to write to you right now in response to your previous post and the Lord told me to just say this to you:re-seek the Fellowship, put your pride aside, and go to a church this morning and worship Me among the body of believers.I pray you heed what the Holy Spirit laid on my heart. May God bless you and speak to you today.
Krispy,I've known you for quite a few years, cyberspace wise. Though we have differed on various doctrinal issues, I know that your heart is truly towards protecting the Body of Christ through information. I believe you are doing what you are compelled to do. We all should have such zeal. If it is misplaced or out of balance, the Lord will show you. If you are walking the path He has made for you, plug away. The Body will be built up. Blessings Brother! In Him, Cindy :-)
One of my biggest detractors on this site at the moment refuses to resond to my PM's...The fact that you refuse to respond to my PM's says way more about your heart than anything you have written in the forum. I'm quite disappointed in you.I am sorry Krispy if you think I am your detractor. I simply do not want to argue or debate. I really don't know how to respond- so it is best sometimes not to say anything.Don't you agree it is better to hold your tongue instead of making matters worse. I am going to be held accountable for the things I say. Please allow me my silence if need be.In Christ, Chanin
Brother, forgive my own assumptions here.Yes, in part it was a build up because of your intimation of leaving. But usually couch things in 'general' because this is a collection of brethren, made up of individuals. The cause of this little outburst is because we have heard these same sentiments expressed by more than a few, in that sense it was directed in general, yours being the latest that prompted it.Have heard sentiments of second thought's about sending people here, not liking the direction the site is taking (which would be the forum, the messages haven't changed, but one wonders if they are getting any attention sometimes), accusations of all sorts, nit-picking and all this attention to ourselves, it is bluntly childish. I am just as bemused by some that have gone away over seeing these things in whichever way they have been perceived without the bother of attempting some kind of reconciliation. I understand it to a point, but if one wants to make this a public stand, not in private, then a response is going to follow in public. What's the old line, don't go away angry, just go away? ;-) Please don't let that be more fodder for misunderstanding. This little 'role' as it were of attempting to 'moderate' here is often times a handful, am no shrink, have no agenda, trying to keep the peace without compromising the truth. Beyond that of late with Greg in school, this is his site after all and am beyond words of gratitude to even be a small part in what amounts to such a great body of resources that are helping untold brethren out there. I am nobody, gladly, and learned that primarily from the preachers of yesterday who thankfully have been preserved here, Aaron's comments being a perfect example, to go back and read some of the early postings here from this misfit (me), childish, misinformed, knee-jerk reactionary, in need of rebuke and fortunately it came in a general sense, but I got the point and was embarrassed and yet strangely warmed because it was just one more area that needed attention that I was blind to.We all can get off track here, or as it has been succinctly put, "go off the rails". Another great comment was in regard to how volatile 'words' can be, especially by us amateur journalists. It is wrought with trouble from the get go, a misplaced word or 'upon further reflection...wish I would have put that differently'. It is extremely difficult to get 'inflection' into these things sometimes, trying to read between the lines and not jump to conclussions...I thought you of all people here had a pretty good understanding of me and where I'm coming from. Suggesting that I'm leaving because I'm offended shows how much of an assumption that was on my part.Actual that is still true and a want of patience from first utterings here, without rehashing all that, a bit vocal early on, but the beast got tamed through all these exercises :-D Hopefully we all are being tamed in our opinions, or at least having them put in there proper place, below or measured by what we all are striving after, God's thought. Have certainly mis-read some who have come in here, sometimes with gun's blazing and been too quick on the draw myself. My apologies again, seriously. Stretching the analogy, being caught in the cross fire might make this mod. peacekeeper a different kind of 'hole-y' :-? Saddened by the recent surge of ecumenical attitudes on this site.Whoa there, isn't that a bit of a leap? Don't see that as being the case, it seems that is the same thing being assumed by: Saddened that valid discussion of false heretical doctrines is confused by some to be personal attacks on Catholics.Which I would agree with, it goes back to this idea of drawing an imaginary line in the sand and the either/or construct. The way these things get strewn about often lacks tact by making broad pronouncements of judgment or really a consideration for the multitudes caught unaware. But to go the opposite way and make this into something of a 'ecumenical' attitude is just as well missing the point. Personally, I am ....amused or is it bemused? What the attempt is, at bottom with this whole idea(ecumenicism). Bluntly it seems impossible that it will ever work. The whole construct is doomed to failure without a laying down of man made tradition, the whole construct of popery, works righteousness, transubstantiation, who Mary is, praying to saints, icons and 'idols', purgatory... And at the same time what of the 'protesters'? What have 'we' become (not 'us' in particular) but how is it that 'we' 'evangelicals' (still hate even using all these tag lines), look at how that is being perceived? What is it that gets many of us up in arms about? WOF, 'name it and claim it', all these compromise's and muddiness, shallow 'self-help', 'how to's' and 'living a better life', it's upside down from just the plain teachings of Jesus, it is further and further away from Him everyday. Taking up one's cross is death to your 'self' and that is the last thing anyone wants to do let alone even discuss, again not here, but in the broader reaches of Christendom.Without a doubt much of what happens here is a struggle to get back to just core plain teachings of scripture and away from all the schisms of denominational thinking, even if we could put it this way, that there is much to glean from all these groupings over the course of history and that, though another topic altogether, is what much of Christendom is missing, it's history, everything nowadays is on this line of 'new' teachings, 'new' interpretations, 'new' revelations. Solomon was right;Ecc 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Certainly we have not lost the emphasis on;1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? But if anything I am hearing from those here is a want of helping those either completely outside the faith or those concerned over those caught in the clutches of false 'systems', the rub seems to be in just how we go about it. And frankly the only way it seems that we can be of any help is in getting people to understand what truly is involved in this grand life of being followers of Jesus. That is who we ought to be ultimately concerned about, being reflections of Him.Saddened that a strong stand for the KJV is now considered to be blasphemy against the Holy Spirit by some here.Again, this seems a reach into blanket statement assumption. We have gone around this subject before and if there is any honesty whatsoever, that there isn't some problems with it... not going to open that can of worms here, the question remains; Is this an issue worth dividing over? Which ever 'side' you are on? To really put a fork in this, those that may hold to an opinion of 'no opinion' or perhaps "I don't see the worth in all this squabbling over" at the root of it, what amounts to secondary issues. Is it they that get the other tag line of being wishy-washy or stumbling between two opinions? Not that I could personally care less who "I" may be perceived to be in the least, but it is in this same idea that one must be dragged into one or the other, for or against, it's not always overt but subtle. "Think like the rest of us or you are 'outside'". Have seen it expressed in everything from the Calvinism\\Arminianism debates to arguments over KJ only to issues of 'healing' and everything in between. What goes on here primarily is a 'sorting out' of where we find ourselves in this fast paced world that seems entirely bent on destroying itself. Within the 'confines' of what Christianity is truly about is the same gleaning of what is true and real. Don't think anyone is after creating a 'new' 'religion' but discovering an old one and for us it is in digging through what amounts to a large mess and it is a messy business at times scavenging through what we have more or less 'inherited.' This website makes up about 2% of my life, and is hardly worth the stress it causes at times. There are hundreds of others out there.Again, isn't this the very crux of it?Is this really about you, me or is there a greater good that is available to the unknowns out there? (who may have better sense than to jump into the 'fire' as it were)The way this 'site' (meaning the forum again) 'is going' is largely determined by it's occupants and if anything that is puzzling is in the lack of 'stick-to-it-tiveness'. My, what would happen if some real persecution came our way? Please take that with the intention meant, it is a matter of perspective. We have brethren in other parts of the world being hacked to death over this life we can so easily let become a mere matter of words and controversy's.That it may be only 2% to you is fine, won't bother with placing some kind of percentage on it nor make it out to be something exclusive or beyond it's bounds. But for me it is of such a great importance what is contained or make that available here, freely I might add that this sounds like a slap in the face to everyone else. Re-read Aaron's comments as 'proof' if you may of what just an example of all these efforts here can and have done. Brother, there is so much much we just don't know, eternal verity's at stake. But some of these pot shot's in general... is it again only what one gets out of it that is important? Granted, may be misunderstanding your sentiments here, but have heard similar things expressed.I do not leave over offense. Let's get that straight. What stinks, Mike, is that you obviously gave no consideration that perhaps I prayed about this before I made my decision. And the assumptions you made about me here in this public forum is what hurts because I've always considered you to be one of my greatest allies here. Someone who may not always agree with me, but at least understood me.Well I still am brother, even while some were calling for your head early on if the truth must be told (an exaggeration on the head part there). It is just shear patience that is of want of a plea here, but it has to come from everyone involved. Brother I am sorry if I have misread you and done the very same thing in making assumptions. It is a reaction to the whole as that is what has to be concerned here. There has been some unnecessary remarks made that will draw some 'controversy' to ones self or a sharp reply from others that frequent here, what is to be expected? If we are going to put our thought's and opinions out there for public consumption are we then to answer in private leaving everyone else in a state of wonder? Think of the ramifications of all this to greater whole, that is what I must keep after. None of this is meant to be slander or setting you up as an example. You yourself have chided some of us in times past about being to 'soft' on things, to 'lighten up' a bit and frankly you are right if we can take it in the right way. Unfortunately often times the other extreme goes to seed in becoming flippant and careless and that is in general.Think we all tend to read too much into things and I am certainly guilty. As I suspected, shortly after posting this earlier bit a sense of remorse set in, it is something that is carried all the time anyway, causing a brother to stumble? Goodness no, be it far from me. Speak or be silent? What are the ramification of letting something alone? A multitude of thoughts, the last being hopefully mere opinion, it is a want of help and concern, it is not some duty I feel obligated to carry the whole world on my shoulders over. None of this is easy attempting to just keep the peace around here, it's usually just conduct more than 'content', though the content often springs the lever to all kinds of fleshly things being thrown about. But you know what's good about even that? Now it's out there in all it's ugly glory and we can deal with it, or at least bury it... :-?
When I am seeking the LORD regarding an issue, I never tell anyone who might be a potential to tell me what is on God's mind. Because I have done that in the past and they would form something together on what I said. Control freak pastors are good at this. The word that you had given, was based upon your knowledge that Krispy doesn't go to a 'church system' and that he has found his place right where he is being a priest of his home and serving a home based church of community members particpating. What kind of an assembling are we talking here? Thousands, hundreds or 2 or 3?I am defending my brother as the scripture admonishes us to do so."Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips."I praise my brother Krispy for stepping outside the box, stepping outside the boat (church system of safety) where the waves are boistrous and in the midst of that mess we find Christ to help us walk over and above the confusion.Dry Eyed
Maybe we need a room here that is called "enter at your own risk" for the more, I will call elaborate discussions. I guess I am just a different kind of folk but I don't see anything wrong here "It's A Forum" every forum I am a member of on the web offers up folks with different opinions , and different questions and answers or it would not be a forum. Yes, you might think that a Christian related forum might be of a little different nature but why? Were still human! and as long as we reside here on earth we won't all ever get along or have the same opinions and that is how people learn, listening to opinions or answers of others that have been there done that. I personally think that it's healthy to debate I said debate "not argue" and to be honest I have not seen many, if any threads or posts that were so far out of line with the truth that I just figured this person was one card short of a full deck. Satan resides in this forum "don't think he don't" he is everywhere and anywhere there is folks trying to do "good" to rain on there parade remember that is his job and as I have said before he does a great job, and will continue to do so until Dad comes to get us. You know I don't have a solution or maybe the silver bullet to keep everyone happy here and you want to know my opinion there will never be one as long as were here on earth and having to deal with the enemy, and call me weird but I feel that the enemy is threatened with this forum and that is why he keeps stirring the pot, so anywhere there is good he "Will" be there he has a mission just like we do and by anyone cutting and running we are making his job easier and letting down our Father that has left all of us the book that has all the strategies to defeat OL Slue foot, matter fact he has already been defeated at the Cross, I just thought this old Texas Country boy would add a little and I hope my opinions did not add to the fire unless they were like water to the fire. Now were do I find that room "enter at your own risk" ? so when Satan goes in there I can lock the door. :-P
I am sorry Krispy if you think I am your detractor. I simply do not want to argue or debate. I really don't know how to respond- so it is best sometimes not to say anything.Don't you agree it is better to hold your tongue instead of making matters worse. I am going to be held accountable for the things I say. Please allow me my silence if need be.In Christ, ChaninI never said it was you I was speaking of. I know I PM'd you... but in this particular instance, I was not referring to you. I havent attempted to make things "right" between you and I because I dont think there is anything needs to be "righted". I was referring to someone else.Sorry you felt it was you.Krispy
Thanks Mr. BillI just thought this old Texas Country boy would add a little and I hope my opinions did not add to the fire unless they were like water to the fire. And am glad you did, seems we do all get a little over agitated and are likely over doing it, but would think that is just in past history forcing the err to caution, there have been some that really were so divisive, some very grevious things that caused so much... grief. But without a doubt that the enemy of our souls is not out and about and if we were just left alone here in our happy little 'kumbya' world, something would be seriously wrong. Now if we could just get the swords turned in the right direction...
you took the spirit of what I wrote Krispy, (whose real first name I wish I knew) wrong.I was not rebuking him, I was giving him what the Holy Spirit gave me. I'm sorry you took that as "control freak", I took it as obedience to the Lord. Krispy is free to recieve it, or ignore it.lets let him tell me whether he did or not.
Mike, I don't think it is so much a matter of over heatedness (if that is a word). We we don't know one another we get defensive, we are protecting what we believe to be right. What seems to become a bothersome sigh, is that sometimes the person is saying the same thing, and yet we still have a rebuttal. Instead of building on the positive we jump right to the negative.Sometimes we don't even read the entire post. We see a juicy sentence and our fingers are jittery waiting to hit that reply button.None of the rebuttals causes anyone to change, tho many would disagree with me, yet I said that because when you rebut someone's theology it only makes them harder towards you. Unless you have a meek spirit, which is hard to find amongst men, but a meek spirit is a teachable spirit, not quick to give an opinion, but waits until all have exhausted thier time and words, and whilest everyone is silent wisdom springs forth and a knowledge that even your most arguementive spirit will acknowledge that that is the truth. This is really a lost art, which I don't know if it ever will be kindled again. I am just as guilty as the next guy concerning this. But at one time even in our recent past men would allow other men to speak and have their say while others listened. It wasn't even right for a youngster to say anything amongst grown ups, tho at times they did with profound results. What I am trying to convey is that the reason why there is so much fussing around is because we don't let the words of the person speaking sink in, and allow our minds to grasp what is being said. I don't know about you, before I submit my post, I preview it first and read it outload so that it makes sense to the one who is reading it. And many times I forgot to add a word or a letter, or maybe what I said wasn't quite right so I'll edit it, and sometimes I just delete the whole paragraph. Other times I have written a lengthy post and only to place the curser on the X to close the browser. Because I know that what I am writing is me, and not inspirational.I think we need to read our fellow posts, re-read it, print it out perhaps and read it to someone else and see how they view it. I want you to know that I am a Moses. I can't talk right, verbally speaking. I can't word my words right when talking to my family and friends and I am constantly trying to explain myself. Writing is my only relief, so therefore, I write to them. Sentences and paragraphs come to me naturally when I don't use my mouth. It flows from my mind/heart to the keyboard or pen. When talking to my family I would always say something that wasn't right, for instance; complimenting someone I would say, "don't you look better today". In my mind that was a high praise but to them it was in insult, "what do you mean I look better today, what was wrong with me yesterday?". What was sincere reflection upon one's beauty is now turned sour. When it is spoken back to me, I can see the folly in it.Does anyone know where I am going with this. I am not confessing my faults or anything like that, I am giving examples of misunderstandings and folly. We fool ourselves when we think we have it altogether and our brethen do not. Someone may be insulted while another may be encourage. What happened? I think the one who was encouraged has the teachable spirit while the other who was insulted does not, they have something say, they are God's gift to the church and you need to take heed or else. I know what I am talking about, I have met individuals of this nature, and I was one of them.Sigh
LOL :-) Neil you called yourself a control freak, I was not pointing that statement towards you but towards those who use it for gain, I don't think that of you. I think what you should have done was privately tell him that word, exposing that to the group makes it look like your splattering his choice which you consider pride and rebellion. (or what you believe the holy Spirit is telling you)Forgive me, I am sorry that you took that the wrong way.Rue
This website makes up about 2% of my life, and is hardly worth the stress it causes at times. I think you might be wrong on this point Bro., of it hardly being worth the stress it causes. I've been thinking alot of late about how Christians go to church and play the game in the place of having real fellowship and true community. I think it's because it hurts to get that close to people. I can remember when my husband and I first came together (I was in sin and far from God), we were living together and I was pregnant. I think I was about the 5th woman he had lived with, but he had never married. One day, when we had been together about 8 months, he said to me,"loving you hurts, I want to leave, but I can't". I said to him, "Buddy, you're just getting started! You haven't even begun to love someone till it starts to hurt."I think that's our problem much of the time. We won't stick around long enough to really love someone. It's easier to go. Less stress. Krispy, I haven't had much interaction with you, but I wish you would continue to push here. You haven't said anything I can't live with, although I must admit I haven't read all of what you've had to say for lack of time.Recently, I realized how we lie to each other. We are talking to people to their face and smiling while, in the back of our mind, we are thinking bad things about them. I don't think that happens so much here, because we have the buffer of cyberspace. It allows room for a little more honesty. I think we need to start being honest with our brethren who are right in front of us. Oh yes, it will stir up some poop, but, how are we going to get past this swamp of poop if we don't go through it? I say, let's jump in! I don't care to get dirty. Anyone else game? Love you all. Dian.
Dian,Always, always love hearing from you! Please, tell us how you really feel..God love you sister, come on in, might want some waders though... :-? Thanks for this huge smile
you took the spirit of what I wrote Krispy, (whose real first name I wish I knew) wrong.I was not rebuking him, I was giving him what the Holy Spirit gave me. I'm sorry you took that as "control freak", I took it as obedience to the Lord. Krispy is free to recieve it, or ignore it.lets let him tell me whether he did or not.Neil...First off... name is Steve.Secondly, and please dont be offended by this, but the "word" you had for me was not from the Lord. If this was an issue of pride for me I would die on this hill defending my opinions. I have chosen not to. I have chosen to walk away and let the chips fall where they may. You yourself stated on another thread that everything that can be said about the RCC, Billy Graham, or any number of other things... has been said. This is not rebellion, for I am being obedient to the Word when Jesus warned us about where we cast our pearls. (and NO... I'm NOT calling anyone "swine"... I'm just making a point)I've voiced my opinions, my interpretations, etc. Some have listened, some have not. I have listened and learned from many (philologos comes to mind), and from others I have not. What else is there? There has been an influx of ecumenism on this forum since the death of the Pope. Not sure it's an influx, maybe his death just brought it to the surface. But now we're chastised for discussing their teachings at a time when I feel it's desperately needed. It was plainly said that taking a stand agaisnt modern versions was blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. It was said that this past weekend. Mike... I wasnt stretching for anything there... I was paraphrasing a post. If this was an issue of pride for me... I would counter his claims... but I wont. I dont have any hard feelings toward anyone. Everyone please hear me on that. All I am doing is saying look, I've stated my position on a number of issues. There comes a time to shake off the dust. There are those here that will testify that I have privately gone to them and made things right concerning times when i may have stepped over the line with them. Karl (Healingwaters) is a perfect example of what reconciliation between brothers can be. He and I didnt hit it off well when he first came here... but we both apologized privately and now I consider him to be a dear friend. And he and I are not in 100% agreement on everything. Let this be a lesson to all who read this.I leave here in good conscience.Krispy
I am going to keep this short because thru out this thread one thing that EVERYONE does not seem to understand or SEE in the postings either by me or Krispy, is that over and over again, he has stated that:"I am NOT offended"So please stop writing these 'offensive' posts. Write something sensible like:"Brother Krispy, it has been a pleasure knowing and having you on this forum. Tho we haven't seen eye to eye on everything, but I appreciate you just the same. I hope that you will drop by from time to time and check up on us, and I wish you the best my brother. God bless."
Krispy, What does PMd mean?In ChristJeff
PM is an acronym:{P}rivate {M}essage.Dan/\\/\\/\\
Wounds are part of battle, my dear brother in Christ. But the Warrior in this army is here to the death. We do not turn away. Nor do we fight with sword. It's by His Spirit, and He said so. When there is so little of "us" left alive, that is when the great victories began to happen in our lives. To turn away this close the finish line is not the heart of God, beloved. Anyone who attacks truth, attacks God. It's not our battle, it's God's. If however, someone attacks tradition, we may need to humble ourselves and re-examine the foundation that our belief system is based upon. For those who may not know, I have received many private messages from Krispy, all full of love and encouragement. Each one has blessed me to the depth of my heart. From what I've seen, there are many others here who have received such notes. That comes from the heart of an exhorter. Krispy is an exhorter. Thanks be to God. Even exhorters need exhortation. I know I do. And Krispy has been lavish with the love of Jesus.I've seen things posted by Krispy that don't match up with "my personal theology". So? It matters not. What matters is that we continue to share what is on our hearts, weak and strong. I'll stand in the gap of the wall around your life, and you do the same for me. I've leared a lot, in my short time here. But I've been blessed beyond measure. The truth teaches, but when it is served in love, it's irresistable.I've told Krisppy in private, and will share with you, that I don't get involved in all posts. Who could have that much time even if they wanted too? So I pray to be led by the Holy Spirit which ones I open and respond too. I try not to get involved in emotion, although I'm a pretty emotional guy. But I want to go where I can contribute and be blessed. So far, it's been wonderful. The Spirit of the Lord abounds here. So Krispy, we have the Lord here because we bring Him here. We have 100% pure God residing in us, but not 100% of God. The more of "us" that are here, the more of God is here. If you decide not to return, so be it. But the special anointing that you have will be taken from us. That cannot be replaced. So I ask you to seek the Lord, let the blood flow, yours and His, and continue to let the joy of the Lord in your life be enjoyed by us all.
Lahry wrote:Wounds are part of battle Speaking of wounds and battle when does the bleeding stop on this thread? :-P Now for you that don't know me I was just kidding if you feel it necessary to continue to get your point farther across carry on Soldier, but if not I will furnish the bandages for the wounds. :-?
Man is this one looooooooooooooonnnnnnnnng good-bye! ... :-D Brother Krisp,i say this in a real sense of fun because i know you have a sense of humor, "But are you leaving ... again"?!?! ... :-o This is like "auction" leaving ... I'm going once! ... I'm going twice! ... I'm gone! ... :-? Technically should'nt your title be "MY FINAL THREAD" since you've posted on this "final" thread more than once? ... :-P OK ... seriously folks ... i'm firmly convinced that the reason we're oft times refered to as "little children" in scripture is because if we're not careful that's exactly what we act like when things don't quite go our way ... Paul relayed this in 2Cor.11: 24-28 ..."Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches".Compared to this i should think that any of us would at least be able to bear anything dished out on this forum ... i once wanted to be exactly like Paul but all i kept hearing from Holy Spirit is "no son I want you to be more like John" ... The more time i spend in His Body the more i understand His reasoning why ... We're dead in Christ without love for one another people ... Were dead as Christ example to the world without love for one another ... i wasn't gonna post on this until i read sister Dian's post about the sticking ability of "love" ...1Cor.13: 4-9 ...- Love suffereth long, and is kind ... - Love envieth not ... - Love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up ...- Love doth not behave itself unseemly ... - Love seeketh not her own ... - Love is not easily provoked ... - Love thinketh no evil ...- Love rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth ...- Love beareth all things ... - Love believeth all things ... - Love hopeth all things ...- Love endureth all things ...- Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we (ALL) know in part, and we (ALL) prophesy in part".The "in part" part is why Holy Spirit inspired this message of why we all need one another that we all just refuse to "get"!!!1Cor.12[12] For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.[13] For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.[14] For the body is not one member, but many.[15] If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of (leaving) the body; is it therefore not of the body?[16] And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of (leaving) the body; is it therefore not of the body?[17] If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?[18] But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.[19] And if they were all one member, where were the body?[20] But now are they many members, yet but one body.[21] And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.[22] Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:[23] And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.[24] For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:[25] That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.[26] And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.[27] Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular ...God put His Body together ... God put SI together, and if He brought you here (as i know He did me) don't you think that any decision for you to leave should be His? ... He has you here for a reason, and if satan is pushing you to go out of here in a "huff" then apparently you haven't learned it ... i noticed on the date of this thread about "leaving" three new members checked in ... i think it pretty safe to say that anyone leaving SI won't stop SI ... Believe it our not Holy Spirit has used SI Forum to teach me in a diversity of ways especially so in how to "take low" in CHRIST LOVE ... 1Pet.4:8 ... "And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover the multitude of sins"Finally a little story i heard once that sticks with me in keeping vigilant about my "pride" ... "There once was a fly who lit on the nose of a water buffalo just as it was dipping it's head to take a drink, and thought it was his own fly weight that caused the mighty beast to bow"Above all else we've got to be careful not to become prideful in how unprideful we pride ourselves to be ... So come on lets all do one great big cyber brotherly hug and stop all this talk about "leaving" ... :beard:
"There once was a fly who lit on the nose of a water buffalo just as it was dipping it's head to take a drink, and thought it was his own fly weight that caused the mighty beast to bow"Forget Krispy, I want to know more about the fly and Water Buffalo :-P
Grace be with you, Krispy.
Well Krispy, I'm really going to miss you, God Bless, brother!-Eli
