by docs on 2016/6/6 13:19:16Most of the world is still buying and selling with cash and hard currency. How can most of the world already be cashless?
If this mark is now and is symbolically spiritual or whatever what does not being able to buy or sell spiritually represent?
17 and he (a personal pronoun indicating a person) provides that no one should be able to buy or sell, except the one who has the mark, eityher the name of the beast or the number of his name.
If this mark is to be symbolic then how can one spiritually and symbolically not be able to buy or sell? What spiritual truth does not being able to buy or sell represent?
I would be happy to tell you what it means to "buy or sell" as it is being used in it's context in Rev. 13:17 . But, I would like to give you a chance to figure it out, first.
I will give you a tip: You do know that money is not the only currency, I hope. Our lives are also "currency".
Isa 52:3 For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.
What does the Lord mean in this verse when He says, "come ye to the waters" and even if you have no money, you can still "buy and eat"? What are they using for currency? The Lord says to buy wine and milk anyway without money and without price.
Isa 55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
What does thirsting represent?
What do the waters represent?
What does the wine represent?
What does the milk represent?
And one last clue that might help you: Jesus counsels the Laodicean church to "buy" of him gold "tried in the fire" and "white raiment" (clothes).
Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Hopefully, this will help you figure out what "buy and sell" in Revelation refers to.
