God bless,
Brother William,
I had to work and missed last nights event but watched a replay this morning and was also moved by the songs invoking the name of God (even Christ) and felt much the same as you... very encouraged:)
Today he (POTUS) said "God" 3 times in his speech... it's been so long since I heard a president sincerely say God in a positive way that it almost seemed foreign. Hopefully this will be the new norm and God will once again be welcome in America and hopefully "His again" :)
I had to work as well but my wife said that franklin graham and another lady minister said the name of Jesus numerous times.
The country is as divided against itself as the day President Lincoln took office. The hate from the left is much more sinister and hostile and intolerant than anything it criticizes. Prayer is going to be needed for Trump whether we agree with him in all things or not.
Blessing all,
I thought that that their was a delibrate and calculated effort to put "The Christian God" Our God not just a generic God back into the narrative.
President Trump mentioned as I remember "God" and Later mention God as "The Creator" which was great.
Franklin Graham got as near to giving a Prophesy as probably ever at an inauguration when he described the rain beginning just as Donald Trump began to speak similar as when it rained in the bible it was a blessing. He did very well and I really felt God was in that prayer.
Yes I think we can say that God was given a place at the Inauguration, whether that carries on or not it was a good start,

Brothers,
I agree that there is definitely something different about this swearing in than I have ever witnessed in my entire life next to Reagen.
I do believe the Lord is extending a window of mercy to both America and Israel and I am praying to use this time wisely, soberly, and prayerfully.
Several of us believe there is something significant about 2017 and that the Lord is going to continue to show Himself Sovereign amongst the Nations.
I have been also pondering if this might not be a year of Jubilee as this June marks 50 years since the Lord gave many of Israels enemies into her hands back in 1967.
Isaiah 61:1-3 KJV The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me; because the LORD hath anointed Me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; (2) To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; (3) To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
While I prayerfully committed this election into the Lords hands I would be lying if I said I was not surprised Trump won. While I could not cast a vote for the presidency I was definitely praying for the Lords will to be done, and no matter who made it in, His will would be and was done and Jesus would still be on the throne.
I am telling you brothers there is not a day that goes by that God does not fails to provide souls who are open to the Gospel. Today alone, I have had the opportunity to share the Gospel with a family member, a coworker, and I met a Jewish Man at one of my accounts today who was happy to be leaving the job early so he could prepare for the sabbath tomorrow.
He was open and heard the whole Gospel, got two bible tracts and I asked him if he would be willing to listen to some testimonies of converted Jews and he said yes. I directed him to the website One For Israel, I Met Messiah.
I told him I loved him in Jesus/Yeshua's name and that God is doing a miracle for both America and Israel. He agreed and thanked me for sharing with him.
Brethren, all that is happening at this place and time is for ONE purpose and that is to PREACH the Gospel!
It's not about Trump but Jesus Christ and the Lord is sending willing Laborers into the fields.
Like you brothers said, I am greatly encouraged! Please remember to say a prayer for Samuel!
Hi Dfella,
God sometimes uses the "unlikely" to help out his cause.Sometimes the"likely" are not able or not up to the Job or not positioned to do what God wants. Then the "unlikely" are called upon,

Amen and Amen. It was very sweet to hear the name of Jesus over and over again today from the most powerful podium in the world. Not sure what that means in the bigger picture, but I love to hear the name of Jesus unashamedly spoken by men................bro Frank
I have no complaints With the new President so far.
But has anyone else been feeling the heightened amount of hate coming from the left towards conservatives especially Christians.
Yeah as a matter of fact that issue has been popping up on my radar and as I see it, while it's been building since the election, it seems to be increasing and most likely will continue to. I believe it's a physical manifestation of what's been taking place in the spirit ...we're at war and in the political/judicial realm the balance of power has shifted. While we know we war not against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities, this nonetheless spills over into the physical. My prayer is that those who call on the name of the Lord would stand and be lights to a darkened world, not arguing or complaining, but lovingly holding out the word of life-the gospel of Jesus Christ:)
Honestly I view this as an amazing opportunity to do the work of the kingdom of God:)
I got some good news last Saturday on Donald Trump from a brother that was at the Deridder Aglow meeting. He is the assistant Pastor of Zion Hill Church in Pineville. He was one of the organizers for Louisiana Outpouring. He is involved in a prayer ministry that prays for state governors. The leader of this ministry knows Mike Pence personally. He said that Donald Trump has accepted Christ as his savior, and that Mike Pence is feeding him the Word to help him grow on a regular basis.
I was very impressed by the prayers that were prayed at the inauguration that were all prayed in the name of Jesus except for the one that was prayed by the Jewish Rabbi. No Muslims prayed at this inauguration.
The scripture that Franklin Graham read at the inauguration:
First of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way. For such [praying] is good and right, and [it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior, Who wishes all men to be saved and [increasingly] to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and correctly the [divine] Truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4 AMP)
The reason why Trump won the presidency that confounded and astonished the news media was the heavy turnout of evangelical Christians and Catholics that predominantly voted for Trump. James Dobson, who has been the director for Focus on the Family for many years believes that the stark difference between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton on the issue of abortion was the catalyst for the large Christian turnout. Hillary Clinton made it known that she favored late term abortion right up until the time of birth, while Donald Trump took a prolife stance.
A family member was telling me about A well known Christian leader that recently visted there fellowship, This Leader has written strongly against Trump in the past and said that he would not allow him to speak at there college.
According to my family member this well known Christian Leader recently went with Graham and some from Moody to visit and talk with Trump.
He was supprised by Trumps willingness to listen to what they had to say.
I guess Trump started the conversation out by asking what they disliked about him and asked them what he could do to fix it.
I do not know anymore of the details about the conversations other than that.
clarity
I didn't watch much of the ceremony, it would probably break my heart, politics and hope and promises mixed with the Gospel.
No doubt the new President has great intentions etc.
But I just have this uneasy feeling that things might not work out as most would hope,...but only time will tell, let's wait and see and continue to pray for revival.
Quote: " that God will indeed make America great again..."
There is no such a promise in the Bible.
Quote:"For from the rising of the sun even to its setting, My name will be great among the nations,(Malachi 1:11)
God wants HIS NAME to be great among the nations.
Aaron Shust wrote: "My hope is in You, Lord / All the day long, I won't be shaken by drought or storm / A peace that passes understanding is my song / And I sing my hope is in You, Lord..."
Markus,
In our hope that America becomes great again we are speaking of great in the context of godliness and true justice. That America would be great in being more completely His.
Of course, our hope is not in a mere man but in what God intends through that man

Psalm 145:13
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
The only kingdom that matters to God is His kingdom. His kingdom and His kingdom alone will be that which endures throughout eternity. All of the temporal nations are as nothing in His eyes. They will perish. But only the kingdom of Jesus will remain eternally. Only Jesus will rule from the heavenly Jerusalem.

Daniel 7:27Then the sovereignty, the dominion and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One; His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him.'
Amen to this wonderful verse from Daniel.
Also our first allegiance is to God's kingdom and Jesus Christ. Yet we should honour and be glad and rejoice if righteousness is exalted in a nation even under the guise of being a so called: "Christian nation" that God blesses. God does though indeed bless when righteousness is sought.
We should rejoice in as much as Donald Trump seeks to promote righteousness and good ways and also pray for him and all rulers.
Brothers,
I have a booklet from a ministry entitled America and Great Britain in prophecy. I read it many years ago and just put the thought in the back of my mind.
This book claims that the American and British peoples are both descended from Joseph's two sons Manasseh and Ephraim whom Jacob blessed.
Genesis 48:1-5 KJV And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim. (2) And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed. (3) And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me, (4) And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession. (5) And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.
Genesis 48:13-20 KJV And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near unto him. (14) And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn. (15) And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day, (16) The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth. (17) And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head. (18) And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head. (19) And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations. (20) And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.
The book says Ephraim represents America and Manasseh Great Britain. The book makes a very strong argument as to how when the twelve tribes of Israel were scattered how Joseph's two sons migrated and became these two great Nations that history shows that God has blessed and has given her enemies into their hands.
For many years I have not been of the patriotic sort, but as I Christian, I do have a burden to pray and I am grateful for the country wherein I live. I believe Gods Sovereignty prevails over all things we see in the natural.
He is the One who sets up the Kings and He is the One who takes them down. Trump is the President because God made him the President. God and the name of Jesus are being preached like never before and I am going to take FULL, FULL, FULL, advantage to take this window of opportunity to preach Jesus like never before.
I am going to pray, and lift up America, Israel, and our leadership like never before. I see an opportunity to preach to, love unconditionally, and DO good to my/our enemies. THIS is what is going to build NOT America, Israel, or the UK, this is what is going to build Gods Kingdom, one soul at a time.
So however long the Lord sees fit to leave this door open I will remain optimistic and not focus on when the door will slam shut. I fully intend to snatch as many as God will give into my hands brothers, I am going to loot, and pillage, and take as much spoil from the enemies camp as I can.
Do you remember the character named Glum in Gulliver's Travels? He was the pessimist who was always saying, "It'll never work, we'll never make it". I don't want to be like this Brothers.
I will not speak death, cursing, or defeat, I choose to speak life, blessing, and victory for THIS IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD. This IS the Gospel Jesus says will be preached in the last days.
A prevailing thought in our church and in our spirits is this, It's not by might nor by power but by My Spirit saith the Lord! This thought is down in my spirit and my bones outpouring is not coming brothers, it's happening now and will continue to increase like Fletcher says and I bear witness to this.
"Come now let us reason saith the Lord", brothers when our spirit is right with the Lord, we can minister in love, compassion, and in ALL sincerity and this will break down even the most hard hearted individuals, I experience this almost daily. I am not looking to debate people that only fuels pride and builds walls! Debaters need to repent and get delivered of that demon so they can be useful for the Kingdom! Debating and proving we or our way is right is not the Fathers will.
We need to start acting like the ministers of reconciliation that we are, this is our universal calling. If we can't reconcile the lost unto Jesus we need to back up the truck and reexamine our own hearts.
Does the Lord ever give you a word to go and share with others who are bound and hurting? Are you stepping out in faith to speak a word from the Lord in due season at work, church, the grocery store? Are you ever motivated to do/show an act of kindness on those whom you come in contact with everyday? Are you armed with tracts? Do you carry them in your wallet or purse?
These are just a few examples of SEED and WATER for that SEED. As you have freely received, ought you not to freely give? This is my prayer for us all today:
Isaiah 55:1-12 KJV Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. (2) Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto Me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. (3) Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. (4) Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. (5) Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for He hath glorified thee. (6) Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near: (7) Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. (8) For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD. (9) For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. (10) For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: (11) So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (12) For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Thanks for all the input on this topic brothers I do ponder and weigh all thoughts expressed.

Agree with what was posted.
I, too, listened to the inauguration via two electronic devices because each were focused on different aspects of the event until the guests were seated. In any case I did not accomplish much yesterday.
For once, I was pleased with the acknowledgement that was given to God. We have not heard this in a long time.
I also sense there is a war ongoing, underground for the preeminence, headed by George Soros who will do whatever he can to destroy America. Now is not the time to sit back and relax but to pray fervently for Trump as well as the Clintons and Obamas. After all - the Clintons and Obamas are people....

"I also sense there is a war ongoing, underground for the preeminence, headed by George Soros who will do whatever he can to destroy America."
Sandra, you are spot on concerning George Soros, who has pumped millions if not billions of dollars into radical leftist causes in an attempt to get Hillary Clinton elected and overthrow Donald Trump. Below is a quote that Soros made concerning Donald Trump and the "New World Order".
"Billionaire globalist George Soros has penned a panicked rant in which he decries President-elect Donald Trump as a "would be dictator” who threatens the future of the new world order."
It has been evident for sometime that President Obama has been working secretly to give the U.N. more power over the affairs of the U.S. and and to divide the land of Israel.
The election of Donald Trump as president shatters the plans of Soros, Obama, and the Democratic Party.
We are going to see dramatic change take place in this nation as President Trump will seek to undo much of the damage that Barak Obama has done to this nation through the many executive orders that he has enacted. One of the first executive orders that Trump will make will be to defund the biggest provider of abortion in this nation "Planned Parenthood."
"A new report out today indicates President Donald Trump will sign an executive order to defund International Planned Parenthood.
Most pro-life Americans are anxiously awaiting Congress to pass a bill to defund the Planned Parenthood abortion business. While that defunding legislation concerns the domestic-based Planned Parenthood abortion corporation, president Trump has the ability to put in place an executive order that would revoke funding for its International affiliate.
When pro-abortion former President Barack Obama took office, Obama overturned a policy that prevented funding of groups that promote or perform abortions overseas. The Mexico City Policy covered over $400 million in federal funds, part of which flowed to the abortion businesses International Planned Parenthood and Marie Stopes International for their foreign efforts.
As LifeNews.com reported, the pro-life policy had been in place during the entirety of the Bush administration and Obama rescinded it on his first week in office. Named for a 1984 population conference where President Reagan initially announced it, the Mexico City Policy made it so family planning funds could only go to groups that would agree to not do abortions or lobby foreign nations to overturn their pro-life laws.
While the main bill to defund Planned Parenthood must be approved by Congress, Trump can restore the Mexico City Policy by executive order and reportedly intends to do so on Sunday ”” according to a report in a pro-abortion publication.
As one of his first acts in the Oval Office, the Republican president-elect plans to restore the "Mexico City policy” as soon as Sunday, a congressional staffer told Foreign Policy. The timing of the executive order on Sunday would coincide with the anniversary of the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in the United States."

I did not hear these verses quoted:
"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous."

This book claims that the American and British peoples are both descended from Joseph's two sons Manasseh and Ephraim whom Jacob blessed...
David the book you're making reference to probably supports a doctrine called British israelism. This doctrine has no warrant in Scripture. And generally rejected by mainstream evangelicalism as heretical.
British israelism was made popular in America by Garner Ted Armstrong who headed up the worldwide Church of God. His teachings have been rejected by evangelicalism. As many of his teachings are found to be without scrpture warrant.

Brother check out the preceding post before yours. A booklet that says the United States and Great Britain are descended from the 12 tribes of Israel is certainly implying that the kingdom of God is America.

I marvel at the amount of venom the leftist movements and the largely leftist press put together. I pray for your president. May God restore the foundations that have been damaged by the previous administration.
Hebrews 11...entire chapter
I am glad that Trump is our president, but this America is not our home, we have been given a short space of time to set our house in order. The stage will be set for the finial chapter with Jerusalem being acknowledged as the capitol of Israel with the moving of our embassy to that city from Tel Aviv. I believe a 1 state solution will be sought instead of pressure for a 2 state solution. That one thing maybe the only reason that Donald Trump was elected president as it pertains to God who places people in leadership. We, I am sure will benefit from the residual effects in this country. Heb 11:13
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
journal entry 1985 :.....assembly I fasted 7 days prior and at the camp I had a dream, it was 3 parts and while I do not understand it all I will never the less place it here. Part one was a pretty long, I was looking up at the sky and it was like an iron cylinder that was closing, I understood that as it was closing God s judgment, chastisement if that makes it more palatable, was being poured out on America. Most of what I have received deals with this country. As I was watching I understood how the judgments were being applied, the land would vomit us out, so I knew the troubles with nature, our political system would implode and divide and our leaders would become blind guides of the blind and make wholesale deals gambling away the American birth right and bring on America economic judgments, I understood the social unrest that would take place during this period and the divides, there came a time though when it stopped for a brief time, when it stopped there was a space of time when it got quiet.
In my journal I refer to this as the quiet time...a space of time when at lest over America the chastisements/judgements went quiet, there is no other way I can explain it..The sphere closed suddenly after the quiet time and went straight to the second part of this experience.
Like Noah of old it is time to build the ark and gather our families and friends into the Lord Jesus....Don't lose sight that this is not our home, time is wrapping up, don't drop our guard, don't fall asleep be vigilant stand stedfast in the Lord.
I concur with "dfella"s assessments in his reply.
I have watched the unfolding of this particular election with an increasing expectation that God was in it... either to seal the judgement which America currently is well deserving of or to extend a reprieve.
Though I don't overly follow Morningstar Ministry, when President Obama was elected Rick Joyner stated something to the effect of "It is not everyday you see a nation elect it's own judgment". My spirit resonated with his thoughts and it was easy to see there was a great supernatural assistance to Obama's unlikely ascension.
I personally believed Mrs. Clinton was going to be elected. I thought she would be the final nail in the American coffin. Similar to "dfella" I did not believe I could in good faith vote at the Presidential level (I wrote in a God fearing former State Rep whom I am close to), but prayed that God's will would be done, be it persecution and the brightening and good chastening of the church which would follow, or a span of time where we might have the opportunity to nationally seek the Lord and repent.
My prayer the last few years have been a pleading with the Lord to send America a Jonah or to lead my family out like Lots. With five young children my prayer was one primarily for them, that they might have enough time to come to a knowledge of God (apart from the governmental interference which I saw on the near horizon).
I am still dumbfoundedly thankful for the overt and purposed glory given to the God of the Bible in President Trumps inauguration address as well as the prayers following his swearing in. He encouraged unity based on the truth that there is an Almighty Creator:
"And whether a child is born in the urban sprawl of Detroit or the wind-swept plains of Nebraska, they look up at the same night sky, they will their heart with the same dreams, and they are infused with the breath of life by the same Almighty Creator."
President Trump also recognized the necessity for God's blessing in stating that "And most importantly, we will be protected by God."
God has stated that "He who honors Me, Him I will honor". Although many of Trumps statements revealed a belief that America is deserving of God's protection and favor, that we should be blessed, my prayer is that the Lord utilizes this strange Cyris, this odd Nebuchadnezzar, to be a honest and lawful shepherd, regardless of how well He knows or serves our true Shepherd. My prayer is that the Lord reveals himself to President Trump and finds He has a man who "has an ear to hear".
I am not overly familiar with Kim Clement but his 2007 prophecy of "God raising up The Trump" intrigued me. If God can instantly turn Saul "into a new man", and give him a "new heart", he certainly can do so with Donald Trump. My thoughts throughout this election have been that though Trump may not be a godly man, he may indeed be God's man.
So the real question dear Saint, is what to do with the reprieve given? How do we redeem the time? If America is to repent then faithful men need to preach a faithful Gospel. In the same way that prayer was taken out of American schools on June 25th 1962, I have watched sin taken out of the Gospel over this last century. America's church needs to remember that we as well as the world are lost in and to sin without the Lord's work and the Holy Spirit's intervention... we are utterly depraved.
a false gospel message of a wrong unbiblical love which overlooks sin has been the mantra of the modern church, whose "hyper-grace" thoughts have stripped modern Believers from a hunger for holiness which would lead to the supernatural favor of God eliciting the power of the Holy Spirit. Prophet and King, David understood well that sin blocked his prayers from being heard, nothing on this line has changed with the New Covenant as "the fervent and effectual prayer of a righteous man" is what "avails much". (James 5)
I encourage here myself first and foremost to begin to seek the Lord for an increase in my hunger and thirst for His righteousness, that He might fill me, lead my heart to an increase in it's delight in Him that I might receive the desires of my heart which He has placed there for His glory. That I might be an aid and "instrument of righteousness" to His work in this Nation for this season, and as the ardent Moravian missionaries used to say "that He might receive the reward of His suffering".
"For such a time as this".

Rick Joyner stated something to the effect of "It is not everyday you see a nation elect it's own judgment".
In it, he states God told him that Obama was gog and would turn the UN and all 70 nations against Israel.
He died in the fall of 2015. I do not know if anything or everything of this is true but I do find what he said very interesting and may put it in a file for later use. :)

Can we really expect God to bless a nation that has murdered several generations of its Unborn? Can we really expect God to bless a nation that has sacrifice it's children on the altar of Mordok. Can we expect God to bless the church in America when the church is not repented of its worldloness? Can we really expect God to bless the church in America when the church is not repented of its adultery with the world in America? Can we really expect God to bless a nation when it Christians in this nation laud Americanism and patriotism as virtues of the Holy Spirit?
Scripture tells His judgment begins with the household of God. In which case where are the cries of a repentant church? Where are the cries for more holiness in one's life?
In this forum we decry the teaching of cheap grace or the hyper-grace of certain prosperity preachers. Yet we defend one's right to drink alcohol. We say this is Christian Liberty. Yet when one speaks of self-control or moderation the cries of legalism go up. The cries of one is a pharisee go up.
I cannot say Donald Trump leading us into a new golden age of righteousness? Particularly when one looks at his character. And this is the man of excellent moral virtue who is to lead this nation in righteousness? But then I can excuse Donald Trump. For I believe he is a pagan or a non-believer. But what about the preachers who lead our churches? What about the woman pastor who spoke at Trump's inauguration and leads a church in clear violation of scripture? Namely that scriptures tell us that women are not to be in positions of authority over men.
Again one must wonder. And I can only pray God have mercy on us. For we will surely need it in the days ahead.

"Like Noah of old it is time to build the ark and gather our families and friends into the Lord Jesus....Don't lose sight that this is not our home, time is wrapping up, don't drop our guard, don't fall asleep be vigilant stand stedfast in the Lord."
Thank you for sharing "dohzman",
I agree wholeheartedly with the exhortation and find your dream of great interest.
RE : ///Can we really expect God to bless a nation that has murdered several generations of its Unborn? Can we really expect God to bless a nation that has sacrifice it's children on the altar of Mordok.///
If we reason that God will bring punishment or hold back Blessing because of the actions of this Nation, than it stand to reason that It is our duty not only to pray but also to vote.
Many Christians voted for Trump because He promised to appoint Supreme Court Judges that where Pro Life.
If you reason that God will not bless but rather judge a nation because of its legal abortion policy than how would you apply that same reasoning to a nation that elected a Presidential candidate that has a Pro Life platform ?
I'd like to clarify a particular point that is (to me) important... namely this is not a "left vs right" issue politically, rather it's a wicked vs righteous issue spirituality. Surely there are both spiritual dispositions on either political side and (for me) it's important to remain mindful of this and not polarize ourselves based on fleshly divisions, rather we should unify around the cross of Christ.
Our enemy has a historic tactic of "re-framing" the truth in a false narrative (he did with Eve in the garden) and this tactic will be used in the greater strategy of deception (misinformation).
Personally my thoughts on this are that we should stay armored up in the armor of God and keep our minds renewed to the spirit of truth- the word of God, not getting overly or emotionally involved in the politics of this world ~
This is an outsider perspective, so maybe I'm not seeing something, but I am much more ambivalent about Trump and his administration than people here seem to be.
You talked about nice prayers... said by, among others, a pro-homosexual Catholic Archbishop who read from the apocryphal books and renowned crazymatic false teacher Paula White. Not exactly praiseworthy.
Yes, God and Jesus are mentioned, but I would rather have wicked and lying mouths (like Trump's) keep shut than defile the Lord's name. It made me incredibly sad. The whole thing is nothing more than superficial religiosity meant to pander to evangelicals - the same strategy that Trump used during his campaign. And I think it's a bit naive to think that he will somehow turn to the Lord under Pence's influence.
Now, I agree that Trump might do some good things during his presidency, and he is definitely to be preferred over Hillary Clinton, but I do feel that people are overreacting? He has already backed out on so much of what he said and is such a thoroughly unreliable character, that I think it is way too early to judge. Isn't all this optimism a bit unfounded? Trump is a vile, wicked man, and we should be much more careful endorsing someone like that. Sure, God can use him in His sovereignty, but that could be said about anyone...
Am I missing something? Am I being too harsh?
Hi ChadC,
I think alot of what ur saying is relevant. In Particular the part about being thankful about the position God Of The Bible was given. This can only be a good thing.
Does America deserve to be Judged?YES
But not only America the west in General.
Can God delay Judgement?Yes
We see that in Nineveh I think judgement didnt happen for a hundred years after.
Can God use non believers or non Christians to do his bidding?
Yes we see this with Balaam and with Nebuchadnezzar
I think as I have said in another post ,alot of Christians on SI did not see this election coming and it doesnt tie in easily with "America being Judged" or "Persecution is coming to America" which is a view held by alot of SI members.
My complaint was that I didnt hear anyone on SI predict this or even discuss the possibility of this election happening.
Now SI members are finding it hard to come to terms with the fact that maybe some good might come out of President Trumps Election that are contradictory to their beliefs.
And if it does some good which I think it has in some measure already we should be happy to praise God for it.For instance God being mentioned in the inauguration, talk of defunding planned parenthood and talk of recognising Jerusalem as capitol of Israel by moving the US embassy there.
Also his election has definitely given us a sense of the return of "Free Speech"
We should pray for his Presidency and remember that he is just a man and will make mistakes,
Yours Staff
Yana2- I totally agree with your ENTIRE post. And I live in the US.
However, I may be considered to be looking from afar, since I do not own a TV, do not watch the news or any of the talking heads (not even on the internet), and get my news from reading various "non-political, unbiased" online news services [which do not really exist- I do my best to weed out the opinion part of the reports].
Hi "Staff",
I would agree with the general SI consensus. They mirror my thoughts precisely and was the impetus for me so resonating with the Principles Book.
I didn't see this coming either. I really was convinced that Hillary was the likely tool of choice for the Lord allowing the blood on our land to finally fill that cup of iniquity, cry out, and spew us out.
The difference with Nineveh is that they repented to the point of even having their cattle fast! Who knows what the Lord might do. We see clearly in Scripture that He at some level chooses at times to change His mind, that He responds to our cry, and like Columbas Wild Goose, is neither tame nor overly predictable. The wind blows where it wills. Eschatologically I don't see much of America in the last days... how amazing would it be if America did choose to repent, and to such a large scale that our nation was taken out for being such a light! It is not what I think will happen, but I can pray for such!
My Soul senses a freedom to serve the Lord with greater liberty and abandon than it has for quite some time. We need to take advantage while there is daylight.
I'm praying to the Lord for clear direction, we have a whole generation that is lost.
Trump's New CIA Director: "Jesus Christ Is The Only Solution For Our World"
President Trump has nominated his new CIA chief, Mike Pompeo. An evangelical Christian, Pompeo is a well-respected figure in the national security community. He is also an army veteran, and a staunch pro-life advocate.
Two years ago, Pompeo gave a Church speech where he said Muslims who think Islam is "the only way” needed to be dealt with. "This threat to America is from people who deeply believe that Islam is the way and the light and the only answer,” Pompeo told the church-goers, according to Press TV.
"These folks believe that it is religiously driven for them to wipe Christians from the face of the earth,” he added. "They abhor Christians,” he said of a small minority among Muslims.
Pompeo passionately urged believers to "pray and stand and fight and make sure that we know that Jesus Christ is our savior and is truly the only solution for our world.”
Following the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, Pompeo took to the House floor to call on Muslim leaders to denounce acts of terrorism committed in the name of Islam. "It's been just under two months since the attacks in Boston, and in those intervening weeks, the silence of Muslim leaders has been deafening,” he said.
Failing to condemn such attacks, he asserted, makes Muslim leaders "potentially complicit” in the attacks. "When the most devastating terrorist attacks on America in the last 20 years come overwhelmingly from people of a single faith and are performed in the name of that faith, a special obligation falls on those that are the leaders of that faith," he said.
Pompeo is also a shrewd businessman, starting out at Thayer Aerospace, selling it up and moving on to Sentry International, which makes equipment for oilfields. Pompeo has also voted to defund Planned Parenthood, calling it the "largest commercial provider of abortions in the United States.”
President Trump said in a statement that he was proud to nominate Pompeo as director of the CIA. "He has served our country with honor and spent his life fighting for the security of our citizens.” The president-elect continued, "He will be a brilliant and unrelenting leader for our intelligence community to ensure the safety of Americans and our allies.”
Pompeo said he was truly honored by the opportunity to serve and work alongside Trump "to keep America safe.”
"I also look forward to working with America’s intelligence warriors, who do so much to protect Americans each and every day.”
I have never seen such a deep hate for a President in my life, I do not believe there ever has been in this country.
The mocking is towards the things that he has said and done,(some wrongfully accused) but the hatred is not because of those things.
The hate is because of the conservative agenda he choose to use for his platform.
The hate for those whom resemble this platform is increasing like I have never seen. It is a murderous hate. There is no reasoning with them.
Any disagreement with them and you are accused of being a Bigot.
And they feel justified in hurting in anyway possible those that they deem as Bigots.
This actually might be ushering in persecution for Christians.
clarity
Times Square Church, NY did have a time of fasting and praying for this nation a few days ago. Perhaps other churches are doing or have done the same.
At the same time, I see such deep hate for this presidency, it's amazing.
I do wish folks here would quit quibbling about their right to have persecution come to America and pray the Lord's will be done in this new season instead. The protests have a wicked undertone [for want of better expression]. Believers would be foolish to ignore it.
1 Timothy 2:1 says to pray, intercede and thank God for kings, leaders and all in authority that we may live godly and PEACEABLE lives.
What we think of the new President's character doesn't matter. The Scriptures say to pray for him and that is what I am resolved to do.
Jesus told us not to be surprised if the world hated us, as it hated Him...and this is just for BEING a Christian and speaking truth. How much more hatred should we expect when Christianity become a political power!
Now I am happy that Clinton and Obama and their liberal, anti Christ agenda has got pushed out, but I'm not sure what the outcome of all this will be, but I do know that political Christianity has never been pretty in the past.
I actually do think it matters what we think of the new President's character. It matters for our witness and it matters for our duty to call out iniquity in government (think Herod and John the Baptist). Wouldn't you agree? I mean, Christians didn't keep silent about the Bill Clinton's character after his scandal. If we do not hold our leaders accountable to a moral standard, who will?
But of course we should pray for him. I do pray that Trump's presidency will a be a period of certain respite for American Christians. Persecution is not some sort of end in itself and we are always to pray for peace.
Heydave touched on something interesting about Christianity and political power. The US is in a pretty unique situation where Christians have quite a lot of political (voting) power - something like the "Christian Right" actually exists. That's not really the case anywhere else in the world, as far as I'm aware. I think this is both a blessing and a curse. We should be careful not to entangle the faith too deeply with any party or political movement. And anyways, which faith, which Christianity has taken power? Judging from the people who were approved to pray at the inauguration, I wouldn't be quick to say that Christianity, in any significant or biblical sense, has become a political power. I find it a bit funny how quick we are, on this forum, to declare the majority of American Christianity vapid, godless and often heretical, but when that same Christianity wins the election, suddenly this is God's work?
Another thing to think about: Is supporting Trump damaging our Christian witness? I think we all agree he that he is not exactly a dandy fellow, and shouldn't we be more careful associating ourselves (and Christ's name) with such a man? I also find it sad that conservatism only managed to become a political player after 8 years of Obama in the hands of the least conservative GOP candidate, like, ever.
I agree completely about the protests - there is something deeper going on than just disapproval of the President. The opposition towards Trump is absolutely baffling. Sure, the protesters might have some valid points, but there is a rage there that I find pretty scary. However, I also think we should be careful abiding the logic: They hate us, they hate him, therefore he must be one of us/allied with us. Our enemy's enemy is not always our friend.
To me it's a matter of platform, not personality which is why I had to vote for Trump. I certainly would never vote for the democratic platform and there was no VIABLE alternative to Trump. I was not about to hand the election to Clinton by writing in the name of a non-viable candidate.
Yeah, I get that. Maybe it's stupid, but I just think people are too happy about this. I'm glad Clinton lost, but I'm not glad Trump won. :( It' a tragedy either way, in my opinion.
You have a point - Trump and Hillary were both (equally) bad, but the democratic and republican platform were not, I guess. Ah, dilemma, dilemma!
However, my point was not so much about whether one should have voted for Trump or not, but about our attitude now that he is President.
By the way, have you guys read John Piper's article on living under an unqualified president? I thought it was really good.
Edited for clarity/grammar.
According to the scriptures, all elections are Gods work- are they not?
As for judging a leaders character, by what measure do we use... what the media says or by the actions taken while in position as a leader? If we say the media, then we are at the mercy of the narrative they frame... if we say it's by a persons actions as a leader, at this point, any judgment would certainly be premature based on such limited examples...
Regarding Herod, he had established himself as a wicked ruler and in no way identified himself with the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob-
Likewise so it is with Bill Clinton, in that it was his actions while acting as a leader that he was characterized by...
I do get the point however that we in the west are quick to give president Trump the benefit of the doubt relating to issues where our faith is at stake, tho so far he has appointed more self-professing christians to government positions than anyone in recent memory. And while legislating morality is not ideal, surely it's better than legislating immorality (roe v wade). Having said this, it is (for me) quite refreshing to have hope that God will use this man to turn our country back to Himself.
The sheer volume and degree of opposition he has met with is very promising to me, that there is indeed something in him that is up to the task:)
In any case the one thing we all agree on is that we should lift him up to the Lord in prayer~
Fletcher, it's this statement that I think concerns some of us.
Quote: "......it is (for me) quite refreshing to have hope that God will use this man to turn our country back to Himself."
Not trying to argue with you or pick holes, but this could be misplaced expectation. At best he might be a imature baby Christian. At worst...?
I don't have a problem with Trump as POTUS (not my country anyway), but will folk equate the Trump government with evangelical Christianity and what sort of witness will they give? You see government impacts directly on all people's lives in a way that you and I don't, be that good or bad.
Also I don't think it is biblical to look to government to bring a country to God. Where is our hope in the gospel of Christ, rather than legislation?
Exactly, all elections are the work of God. Let's keep on saying that, no matter who gets elected. Whether it's a Trump, a Clinton, an Obama. etc.
I agree that the media will judge Trump very harshly, and probably unfairly. In their eyes he can do no right. But it is disingenuous to say that there is nothing to judge his character by - he has shown himself by his own words and actions to be selfish, greedy, petty, disrespectful of women , etc., etc. That being said, he could certainly make some good decisions, especially if he is counseled by better and more knowledgeable people. I'm not disputing that.
But I don't agree that the opposition he is being met with is a promising sign! This is kind of like some Christians who act like jerks in communicating their views and are understandably disliked for it, who then say "they hated Him, so they hate me". Sometimes being disliked just means you are a jerk! And part of the Trump opposition is valid enough, although I agree that a lot of it is just antipathy towards conservative politics. But like I said, the enemy of our enemy is not necessarily our friend.
Brother Dave,
Is not the scriptures replete with examples of God using the governments/leaders that He Himself raises up to turn His people back unto Himself or to secure them or even (of course) to discipline them?
Sister Yana,
Yes I do believe that God also appointed Barack Obama as well, how else could he have been in that position if not by the God by whom all authority is given?
Also I would say that the things you listed against president Trump are from a biased media perspective... Personally I've never met him or had any dealings with him tho for every thing you listed I could respond with a kind and positive thing that he had done which is deliberately left out of media coverage so as to create a public/global distaste for him as a person.... what I have noticed is that most every person who has met with him as of late has come away with nothing but good things to say about his character in spite of the media urging them to say otherwise...
One thing I can say with confidence about our president is that he has set a pace leading into his administration that is unparalleled in American history save that of its beginnings and if he, by the grace of God, maintains it this nation will change so rapidly (for the better) that it will take decades to undo. As a believer in Christ Jesus, I welcome his intentions to restore a moral principle to our nation:)
Brother Fletcher,
I think we agree that God appoints rulers. However I believe it is early to say to which purpose He has appointed Trump - judgment or blessing :)
While I am sure the media is portraying Trump in a very biased way, there are hard facts that point to his bad character, e.g. he is thrice married. I have watched interviews of his and he doesn't strike me as especially principled or good-natured. I will allow myself to respectfully disagree with you here. I try to be objective, but when there is so much video and audio material, there are some things that cannot be ignored.
Greetings in Christ.
Flecher, maybe I am misunderstanding what you are saying. That is possible. :) I agree that God can use anyone in His dealings with His people. I thought what you were saying was that God will use Trump to bring in revival to the USA, a bit like a Wesley or Whitfield.
I don't think the scriptures show the New Covenant gospel as being heralded by rulers of nations, but by ministers of Christ. Quite the opposite of rulers He calls the low and weak and despised to be His workers. But as I said, maybe I misunderstood what you meant brother.
Ahhh ok yeah I have been less clear than I'd hoped, please forgive me for any confusion.
While revival would be great, and I'd surely welcome it:)) that's not at all what I was suggesting tho' it could help to bring about revival.
What I see in the scriptures is that God will use a particular person to do a particular thing in a nation... often this has significant parallels in the spirit, prophetic patterns if you will, that only later become apparent, tho the initial action taken has immediate consequences and God seems to use this to do everything from restore to judge and everything in between.
I'm suspect that the Lord will use Trump to do both restore and judge the systems that have been in place which promote and even legislate ungodliness and or immorality. This may help the revival we all seek but that isn't a given and again I apologize for not being more succinct on that point.
As for our president,... I'm not blind to His many faults or my own for that matter, though my heart is to treat him the same way I'd like to be treated and pray fervently for him, his family and his cabinet. (Which his pick for CIA director is on the record having said that salvation through Jesus Christ is the only hope! I'm not 100% but it's highly possible that he would be the first director who had publicly stated such, and even if he's not the first it's very encouraging that he has been clear on this and I pray he is confirmed:)
My understanding is that president Trump has stated that he will repeal the 501c3 status for the church. Which will def be met with mixed emotions, I believe it would be fantastic! While the church itself would not pay taxes under this change, the tithes would no longer be a deduction for the individuals or businesses. This will greatly affect the church in America and I'd imagine some of the mega-churches would dry up.
Personally I see that while the church has been reformed (Luther) it seems (to me) that it's not yet regenerate and there is a possibility that the Lord is about to prune the church and so that it once again produces fruit worthy of His name:)
Again my hope is in Christ alone not any form of government other than His:)
Having said this, the movement in the world governments including the EU away from globalization is not lost on me and I do see it as an opportunity for us (the Church) to advance the cause of Christ and bring great honor to His name but this will only happen if we are led by His Spirit and not the spirit of this world. Which I believe is attempting to set up a counterfeit kingdom.
In any case, I appreciate your patience and grace dear brother:)
Yana2,
When a person takes the oath of office of the presidency in the USA he promises to uphold and enforce existing laws of the land. What we have seen in recent years - maybe 16?- is a flaunting of the law, a disregard for it. Lawlessness runs rampant. In Trump we see a person who has a respect for law and order and declares his intent to enforce it. This is what appeals to Christians. I do not know what his relationship with Christ is like at the moment. It was reported a few months ago that he did accept Christ but we do not know. But the acknowledgment of God as the "Creator God" and appealing to Him to enable him to doing the right thing is impressive. We have not heard the like in many years.
The prayers of the leaders that were offered were flawed but who knows but what it may have ministered to someone's need?
It is true that the mindset of the person who occupies the oval office impacts the nation as a whole. Racial relations were on the mend until the Obamas came along and inflamed them with their rhetoric and blame white people for people's opposition to them. (I live in the deep south where many assume most racists live but I will tell you the whites here were willing to Obama a chance.) So, you see, when one see a person who has a respect for law and order and will work to maintain it it resonates with us.We are not looking to Trump to be a spiritual leader but a civil leader.
Hope this explains why some think the way they do.
Sandra
Hi Yana
Posted a link which shows Trump reversing foreign policy on Abortion. If we are being totally honest I would say not very many if any including me saw this coming. This is great news, its not the good news of Christs Saving Grace but its very good news.No matter whether Trump is like a Balaam or Nebuchanesser or not,two men with great failings it doesnt really matter,in the sense that God may have needed a man to do his bidding and found no Christian strong enough or in a strong enough position to carry out his will.If you ask me in regard to Abortion is Donald Trump carrying out Gods will the answer is yes.
Im so happy to see this piece of news

AMEN AND AMEN... MAY GOD USE HIM TO TURN THIS USA AROUND, BACK TO THE WILL OF THE LORD.
MAY THE LORD BLESS AND KEEP HIM AND SURROUND HIM WITH MANY WARRING ANGELS MAY HIS DECISIONS BE OF THE FEAR OF THE LORD . IN JESUS NAME.
President Donald Trump Signs Executive Order to Defund International Planned Parenthood:
On second thought this say's it better.
Out of 100 men, one will read the Bible, the other 99 will read the Christian - DL Moody
Interesting discussion...may I share a few more thoughts:
I understand and agree that Trump was a better option.
My concern is more the christian hype and hope.
Life is not about "left" or "right ", the devil controls both sides anyway. The only direction for mankind is "up" or "down"
Paul Washer said in one of his sermons that the church in America has never had LESS influence in the history of America then today's church. We all know that the church in the west is divided. Christ is not central anymore.
THIS should be our main concern and we can't expect politicians to fix it for us.Christ never intended His Ekklesia to become a political power.
The Ekklesia is His Bride and he wants it spotless.
So we might have to go through fire in order to be refined before the Lord can return. Therefore the future might not bring what we might hope and expect.
Daniel 9v4 Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 5 we have sinned and done wrong...
Forgive us Lord and have mercy on us !
RE : /// By the way, have you guys read John Piper's article on living under an unqualified president? I thought it was really good.///
I read it. And than I researched what Piper has had to say about John Calvin and Martin Luther whom Piper seems to place as hero's of the faith.
The dirty things about Trump (some which are not true like the part about Trump mocking a man for his disabilities, (that was not the case !))
I find are but small things in comparison to John Calvins involvement not only with the execution of the heretic Servetus but the nasty things that he said about the death of the Anabaptist Leader Michael Sattler.
Calvin showed no compassion for the hurt or loss of life of those whom he Theologically disagreed with.
But such facts never seem to bother Piper and others, They are more than willing to defend and promote such men as hero's of the faith.
RE : ///3. A leader should be a good example for our young people in matters of character and moral uprightness and civility.///
Yet they believe Luther was, and one for the Church.
When I first read the "Jews and there Lies" by Martin Luther I thought there is no way that Luther wrote this. And than I read bits of the "Bondage of the Will" I reliezed yes it was the same personality in both.
The way that Calvin and Luther talked about and to other men whom they theologicaly disagreed with,
They would not last a day on SI forum, they would be booted off. But the majority of Evengelicals have no problem with promoting these type of men as hero's of the faith.
Having said all of that :
Yana2 and others have brought a good balance of perspective to the subject.

proudpapa,
I do not hold to Reformed theology, and I also have a lot of gripes regarding Luther and especially Calvin, for much of the same reasons. I agree that a lot of Reformed Christians are very quick to gloss over some "unsavory" aspects of their heroes of the faith. That being said, I still think Piper makes some valid points, regardless of any hypocrisy that might be in place because of his endorsement of Calvin. I feel that your post didn't really address those?
Whether Trump mocked a disabled man is a matter of contention, but not the other points. Let's not get off track here :)
What generally worries me is how lax and permissive we suddenly are when a politician is on "our" side, for example what ginny said about the prayers. I mean in other situations folks in here would probably not defend the people who said those prayers. And if it had been the democratic candidate who had acted and spoken like Trump, I really believe it would have been a bigger problem for us. Maybe I'm wrong.
I also feel like some are placing too many hopes in this presidency and heralding it as some sort of new era of revival and renewal, which I find a bit... weird? Unfounded? Maybe I misunderstood people's intentions, but I am really wary of politics and Christianity mixing in this way. Edit: I agree with markuskiwi in that he said the main concern was the Christian hype and hope.
Although I am happy that the International Planned Parenthood has been defunded. I heard that, since Ronald Reagan, every Republican president defunds it, while every Democratic one starts funding it again. Funny, that.
By the way, thanks a lot to everyone for this discussion. I feel it has been interesting and thought-provoking. I hope I haven't offended anyone :/

BUT!! Just because I voted for him does not mean I hold any illusions about him whatsoever. He is a man, a mere man who knows how to get what he wants as well!! I don't know if he's a Christian or not, that's not why I voted for him. But I think God will be able to use him or that is at least what I'm hoping.
So my prayers will be for him, not against him.
Anyway, my faith is in the Resurrection, not Trump!!!
God bless,

I don't think the hope is in the man himself but rather that there will now be "space" for revival and renewal that may not have been there if Clinton had been elected and if dems controlled congress.
It's hard to explain exactly what I mean when I say "space" but perhaps you catch my drift.
TMK,
I think that perhaps I don't completely catch your drift, and maybe that's why we disagree. Would you care to (try to) explain a little bit more?
Does change come top down or bottom up? In issues like gay marriage and abortion, the majority (although it is not an overwhelming majority) of the American population nowadays supports them, and support is growing. I think that is where we should start. Someone else also mentioned that revival and renewal don't necessarily come when circumstances are favorable. Another thing that has been discussed and is worth mentioning in connection with the protests, is that all the animosity towards Trump and his supporters might actually be to our detriment in terms of having "space". :(
Greetings in Christ.
@Yana2
You are very on point and I agree with you...very refreshing...
Blaine said,
"Brother check out the preceding post before yours. A booklet that says the United States and Great Britain are descended from the 12 tribes of Israel is certainly implying that the kingdom of God is America."
Brother, I certainly do not believe the Kingdom of God is America and I have not read this book in quite a few years but even then I would have rejected any such notion as utter foolishness.
In bringing up the thought on America and Britain is that both Nations had once followed after God and were blessed in doing so. I cannot say what happened to the tribes of Israel when they were dispersed/scattered throughout the earth.
But this one thing I do know is that America, Britain, Israel, and every other Nation and Country in the world definitely contains Gods people within their boarders. How many? Only God knows, but it only takes the prayers of just one righteous man to avert, divert, or postpone Gods judgement.
As for British Israelism which I did do some research on I cannot speak on as I neither can condemn or support the notion.
All I can do is discern the facts before me and that is God has allowed Trump to become the President regardless of whether he is a Christian or not. God expects me to pray for the President whether I agree with him or not.
This does not mean I put my hope in him or the country I am simply doing as I have been commanded. My only hope/desire is that God will avert, divert, or postpone judgement so that the harvest might be reaped.
The definition of intercession means to avert, divert, or postpone the inevitable. I am just not at that place where I am ready for the Day of the Lord to happen today or tomorrow because when it does come there will be no turning back.
As wicked as people have been this past year or so, it would be easy to pray for God to rain down fire upon these people and to judge them as hopeless and outside any hope of their repenting.
I just cannot help but pity these poor souls, they have no clue as to what awaits them, I just do not find pleasure in that as much as the things they say, and how they mock God, or blaspheme His name makes my skin crawl and grieves my spirit to the uttermost.
I do appreciate the heads up about Garner Ted Armstrong and the World Wide Church of God and have been reading up on their beliefs. And I am also sorry it has taken some time to respond but I do take these things before the Lord for direction, confirmation, and His insight.

"All I can do is discern the facts before me and that is God has allowed Trump to become the President regardless of whether he is a Christian or not. God expects me to pray for the President whether I agree with him or not.
This does not mean I put my hope in him or the country I am simply doing as I have been commanded. My only hope/desire is that God will avert, divert, or postpone judgement so that the harvest might be reaped"
Amen!
Quote: Someone else also mentioned that revival and renewal don't necessarily come when circumstances are favorable.
I don't think that's the case. God sends revival when He wants to. Times were less favorable as far as Christianity goes in the US for the last 8 years and I dont recall any revivals. And what about your neck of the woods? Europe ihas been pretty dark spiritually for a long time- where are the revivals?
Carter Conlon said they have had continual revival for 30 years in Times Square Church. I believe it.
(Not every revival has to look the same, like the great awakening or Finney's revival).
Saints,
There have been some excellent thoughts and also acknowledgements towards what the Lord is doing through Donald Trump in America as opposed to the past president.
I believe enough has been said. Some other topics that are being brought up that are not politically could be started in new threads.
