I heard Adam was working some overtime to be able to purchase a Yamaha Synth Pad for Eve, when he finally had the cash, there was no place to buy one.

I thought the article was good. And just so you know, if you didn't read it, he is not bashing the playing of musical instruments, he is just saying they aren't absolutely necessary. And too often the church is waiting on a spiritual feeling to strike before they decide God is in the midst.

Another thing that I do hate when I hear it is this: During a sermon, after the pastor says something dramatic, the organist plays some punchy, fast jazzy organ fills to give it that "old time religion" feel. That kills it for me every time. I think, "How pathetic".

Haha I was I a very large church in Greenville SC a few times and they did the organ exclamations. Definitely a cultural thing.

I posted the article for the reason you mentioned Daniel. I’m definitely not anti-music but I’m against creating artificial soulish atmospheres.
