For many reasons I can't give detail, but if anyone reading feels from the Lord to pray for my young adult son, with whom I had an important conversation today, I am grateful. He responded to the Lord early in secondary school, but faces strenuous opposition to calling himself a Christian, now, and is actively not living like one. I believe the Lord is going to keep him - as He can and does - but difficult times lie ahead for him.May the Lord keep him steady as he moves in with newish friends, holds down a job and tries to make sense of his world day by day. Thanks, to those who feel led to pray. :-)
As you are led to pray, please.
I will pray for the lad.
Thank you, Neil. 8-)
I also will keep him in my prayers along with my oldest son. I'm sure simular senarios. God Bless Bro. Daryl
Hello DorcusHere is some of my family testimony...My Mother prayed for me for years and then an encounter with God happened for me dramatically, in my own home.My mother had also prayed for my very younger brothers for a lot of years. (Our Dad died and then two brothers died later. This was when the boys were Young, Senior age and Adolescent age.I joined that prayer with my Mother for her sons's my brothers, for a further five years and it was tough!! many times over, seeing and knowing that one of my brothers lived in Holland, drugs, drink, squatting in empty buildings and sometimes in danger. This was for about over 4 years, and near dying in all the squalor of his life and God saved him. He is going to Romania in the Autumn with the Christian fellowship he has been living and working with for the past six years. God saved his life and blessed him with faith. And my other brother came through dramatically in my church the very moment we began to sing.(He had come back to the UK after his travels). He said I was only popping in with you and wham!!Six years later, he has met a Christian girl, he is 38 she is 34 and they are going to marry. Oh boy! Are they both in tune with what God would have for them and I know God is going to use them. My Dad died at 54 one brother died at 30 by suicide and another brother died at 45 with heart problems. I have an older brother who has bipolar my Mother is 78 and goes to see him and spend time with him even when he is having big problems with the voices and his changing attitudes. But in him there is a heart of Gold.I have two sons and a daughter in their late 20’s they all know Jesus but non-practice the Faith. Much prayer is continually prayed for them and there have been some scary moments that have needed prayerTry not to worry about your young son he does not perceive the world as we do. We have experienced many things in our lives.I learned that, time, as months and years is long to us. In Gods time, it is but a flash. And because we are human time seems so long.He so requires us to pray to keep the light shining on him and his friends, this actually gives you more young people to pray for and there will always be new ones turning up in his life. (When you get into the praying for his friends, also you will begin to feel the privilege bringing other sons and daughters before the throne of God). Even when your son does not see the light of the Lord. Just love him, be happy with him encourage him, when you can. Don't frown at him it hurts. God will teach you so much because you are his. He knows your concerns, talk with him he is your Heavenly Father. And when you hurt for him or whatever, tell God for he is your Father, ask for renewed hope and heal any pain, he loves you. Your son will turn back to the Lord for the Lord is in his being.Through this time you too will grow immensely in your walk and faith.I know this is lengthy it is to show you to never give up hope. Turn and look to God every day for all your needs. I have to all the time, I lean on him. Amen ellie. He will be prayed for.
as wel pray for him, also plant seeds of christian friendship, i honestly pray that he is connected in some way or another and with others who are full on for God, and im not just talking about at home but among his peers. its not always easy to make such friends but where one door closes, many windows open. and there have been times where i've felt so alone and out of desperation prayed for a freind so close and so true to come my way, it doesnt always happen immediately but God always delivers someone to keep you on track, you just have to keep your heart open. listen to your spirit as your praying for him, maybe some seeds in his life just need watering. Bless you.
Prayer is one of the most important ways to get through situations etc.And all that you have talked about can be prayed for also.Prayer changes situations and ourselves.I think that his situation may be a lttle more in-depth.God is the only one who can change his circumstances and Dorcus is an in-depth Christian and is now experiencing circumstances that no Mother would want to experience. You cannot make your young adult drink water if he doesnt want to, he cannot be grounded he is too old. When they get to his age we have to let go, one of the most painfull things to do.I kept saying to God how do I let go, how do I stop Mothering the way I have to them. And God did it he showed me how, but don't ask me how. It was one of those amazeing, God did it times.ellie
arbustum, thank you for your words. It has reminded me of an important detail I can share. He went to a Christian school, many (most) staff members are Christians and many of his peer group from Christian families, (some of them with a personal faith), although the school was open to all faiths and none, according to a selective process. Many of these peers are at university now, but he is unsure what to study, yet, and is working usefully with a global company, (with excellent career prospects) well-suited to his natural intelligence and skill base. His job means a lot to him because it confers financial independence. I don't think he'll deliberately jeopardise it, but, it is not clear to me what the Lord has in store, either of work or study. For now, it is a tremendous blessing that he has a job which he wants to turn up for every day. You're right that he is influenced by his peers. ellie has pointed out I should be praying for them too - which had not crossed my mind, I'll admit, but - which makes good spiritual sense. When his university friends come back at holidays, a group of them get together and perform at a local club. They all studied music to school leaving standard and it is beautiful to see the trust they have of each other's musical abilities. In many ways, these guys are brothers to him, more than any others and although they don't keep in touch much during term time, I know it is good for him that they want to include him and even though it pressurises his time more than he would wish, the validation they give him is an important part of his social development. And all that you have talked about can be prayed for also. Prayer changes situations and ourselves.ellie, I had been praying for the opportunity of this conversation for years and I'm sure the Lord made it work out the way it did. It was a milestone. Now, much more is up to the Lord to bring him through to Himself in a way which completely answers his heart and soul and calls him forward in God.I thank you all for this support for him.
Hi Dorcas,Will add my intercession as well. And just as an encouragement, part of my own testimony was a startling revelation from my own mother when I had come to the Lord in earnest after so many years of prodigal living. Was raised as a Catholic and without getting bogged down in all of that, I still can vividly recall expressing to my mom how God had searched me down, the Hound of Heaven over taking and the strange ways that it all came about. She was preparing dinner in the kitchen as I was telling her all about it when she said; "Don't forget about the prayers of your mother".I will never forget that, she obviously wasn't concerned as much about whether I came back to the Catholic church, just that I came back Home.Mothers prayers, something about them. :-)
I've been wondering whether to share this, since I found a message from the police for my son, last Friday, on a matter of which I know nothing - some letter he was supposed to have replied to. He has not confided in me.Knowing how difficult he finds form-filling is one possible explanation. I'd say too, it's more likely he has been a witness, than the culprit in an event, but, since he is doing weed (because he can since HMG altered the regulations last year - just at a time when the strength is much more than previously! :-( ) I cannot be sure it's not drug related. He has a strong sense of what is right and wrong when it comes to others' (friends') best interests, but is unlikely to have committed any violence, himself, as he hates that too.I would ask we pray for him to 'do' anything he's supposed to 'do' before he has tried the system's patience too long, and, that he does not compromise his own reputation for honesty.Thank you. It has been a real blessing to me to know you guys are praying when you are prompted by the Lord. Thank you, again.
As a mother of a grown son, I to will join in prayer for our sons and daughters.
Praying here too Dorcas.Peace to you and your household. With His Love.
Am praying too.May the Lord show Himself strong on the behalf of those who love Him.God bless you sister, and grant you your request.Psalm 37:4Psalm 20

Dear All, Your prayers and moral support are really appreciated here.Today, there was another phone message from the police, so I texted my son who was still at work and said: Either answer the police or tell me why they're ringing here.I thought you'd get a flavour of our relationship if I quote from his replies, which are also very reassuring.1. 'Im not in trouble you paranoid muppet. im a witness in a common assault case. If they call me from non-withheld number, I can call them back.'(In the UK, all official organisations bar their number from outgoing calls.) 2. 'If they call again give them my number and tell them to leave a g***amn message. I'll try them tomorrow but I'm working so my phone is off. If they can't figure out how to leave a message they shouldn't be cops.'In answer to my question of why they are ringing my home and not his, he said - 'cos the incident happened before he moved. Thus, my anxieties have been allayed, and the event has been a good point of contact between him and me. And I will try to find out if he really is going to give evidence in Court, so we can pray for him when he does. :-?Doesn't God move in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform? :-PThank you all and lets thank and praise the Lord!
While I was away recently, my son looked after my rabbit. When I went to pick her up, I learned that one of his housemates, an American who looks 40 to me, but claims to be 25, lost his cool sufficiently one evening, (under the influence of alcohol) to partially wreck the house in a controlled attack of rage... by which I mean, he does/did not attack people for the most part, but does/did serious damage to things - door off hinges, radiator bent off the wall to name but two. The housemates have had to report the incident to the police, and are waiting to know what will transpire. My son and two of them are looking for new accommodation. There are two others who seem to be 'siding' with the man who 'lost it'.... I understand he came to the UK to get his life back after serious addiction and drug dealing. For the most part, he has succeeded, and I suspect he can never go back to the US unless he would be willing to face charges (although I'm guessing there). I think he may have felt his life in danger when he first departed. When I heard about all this a few days ago, I felt the Lord would have me speak to the American about the Lord. I'm not sure how this will come about, or even if it will come about, but I will let you know if it does.I feel my son's well-being is somehow being supported by those of you who pray. Since I posted this thread, he has raised the subject of God every time I see him..... which was not his prevous wont.... and despite the latest disturbance to his peace, he seemed to be in generally good fettle emotionally.Thank you for praying.
As you see, it's a long time since I posted here. A lot of water has flowed under the bridge which partly has been covered in other posts. Now my son lives in an apartment nearby and I see him more regulary (to pick up his laundry ;-) which excuse I enjoy).
One thing which I hadn't appreciated when he was living away from home originally, is that he had a significant difficulty with punctuality at work. Apart from late nights and other juvenile reasons, it slowly dawned on him that his dyslexia might be a contributory factor and he began to mention this at work, but a very large global company is not interested, and has slowly screwed him down through their disciplinary procedure. By late for work, I mean... late by a minute or two. What is confusing to him is that even if he leaves home at the same time every day and follows the same route, the journey time can vary by 10 minutes. If you imagine what it is to lose track in between every task, every day when getting ready to leave, you can see that this difficulty is beyond Garfield's famous observation 'I don't do mornings'. He doesn't get paid for the times he's early, and this fact is a large irritation to the literalism of a dyslexic.
Some weeks ago, his employer issued a final warning, against which he appealed, and which Appeal they rejected. At the time, he had not been assessed for his dyslexia for some time (because it's very expensive) but we pulled it together a month ago. However, the person who gave feedback was completely unsympathetic to his motor difficulties, and now we need to seek a medical assessment to refine the meaning of the findings even further.
About ten days ago, he was given notice to attend another meeting which is this week (Wednesday I think) and he fully expects to be given notice to quit. He has been under huge stress these last two years as they have steadily harassed him more and more through the disciplinary system, and I think he would be glad to go. But, he's worked there four years and they can also refuse to give a reference. Even choosing to take time off because of the stress causes its own difficulties because this firm don't seem to follow the normal sick-pay provision an employee might reaonably expect.
Thus, for those who ever had him on their hearts, I bring this to your attention, that he might be supported through the next few weeks.
He is eminently employable, as he's had good training, but he doesn't want to find himself in the pincers of another employer's disciplinary procedures.
One last comment... he tells me he comes on SI sometimes although he is still giving much opposition to the fact of God's existence. I've been able to pray for him more in these last months than I was when I opened this thread. If you decide to post, please be discreet and thank you for your prayers.
Amen. Praying Dorcas.
"Oh the deep deep Love of Jesus" - this is for you and your son.
Bless both LORD.
"OH THE DEEP, DEEP LOVE OF JESUS"
by The Haven Quartet
Oh the deep, deep love.
The love of Jesus;
The deep, deep love.
O the deep, deep love of Jesus,
Vast, unmeasured, boundless, free!
Rolling as a mighty ocean,
In its fullness over me;
Underneath me, all around me,
Is the current of Thy love;
Leading onward, leading homeward,
To my glorious rest above.
Oh the deep, deep love.
The love of Jesus;
The deep, deep love.
O the deep, deep love of Jesus,
Love of ev'ry love the best!
Tis an ocean vast of blessing,
Tis a haven sweet of rest.
O the deep, deep love of Jesus,
Tis a heav'n of heav'ns to me;
And it lifts me up to glory,
For it lifts me up to Thee.
Oh the deep, deep love.
The love of Jesus;
The deep, deep love.
I don't get audio, so this one may be better. I'm not sure.
Hope one is the one I heard on the radio. Twas beautiful!
Thank you, Annie. I do believe God is working out His purposes through these situtations.
Through a very nasty chest infection and inflamed tonsils, the meeting at work has been evaded for this week. But he'll be back on Monday. We now have a formal referral to a neurologist, regarding the motor processing issues; the further investigations won't take place until next year, I believe.
Well, when they finally had that meeting, although their final response was given later in the day, he was sacked.
One of the points made to him at the meeting, is that he had not disclosed his dylexia at the time of employment. But, he knows he disclosed it to the agency who tested him, (because it qualified him for extra time) who introduced him to the firm. I think he assumed (rightly) that they had given their information to the employer. Also, it was clear 'time' was an issue.
We had a family gathering just after New Year, which took us all away from home for a couple of days, but he's been out today signing up with agencies, and is hopeful.
He has a right of appeal against his dismissal, and this will be time limited. I'm not sure how short a time but I feel sure he'll appeal.
To those of you who are praying for his salvation, again, thank you. The Lord is working something through this situation.
Hi dorcas...
Praying. I had not seen this thread before tonight, so my wife and I will be holding your son in our prayers.
My wife's father went through a difficult time this past year. He is a janitor at his local Wal-Mart Supercenter. He is an older gentleman (about 60 years old), slightly deaf, only speaks Spanish, and a devout Christian. He has worked at the local store for over five years. He was incorrectly given "three strikes" within a six week period by the administration of the local store. Once an employee is given three strikes, they are either fired or into a probationary period.
Worried about a bad mark on his resume, my father-in-law resigned. After much prayer, we decided to appeal all three of the "strikes." I asked him to write a notarized affidavit concerning these issues. I then wrote a lengthy letter and mailed it (along with the affidavit) to Wal-Mart headquarters in Arkansas. Not only did they remove those strikes, they offered him a position with a nice raise! God can do ANYTHING!
Be encouraged! We will be praying!
:-)
Chris, I appreciate your prayers and that testimony.
There has be a lot going on for both for my son and myself in the last three months, and I wish to slip in this request for him in another matter, and myself also, as they are connected.
In mid-December, when he was unwell - and still employed - I was taking him to the doctor. On the way, I pulled out of a junction to turn right - a turn I've made many times - completely sure the road was clear, but found myself faced with the windscreen steamed up, of which I had not taken enough notice in bright sunlight on my side of the road - but through which I could not see [u]at all
A police van had stopped behind me when I'd pulled over, and they had called help - which really seemed like the Lord's provision at the time. Later, I gave a full statement after the doctor's appointment. However, my son although a witness, was not asked for a statement. And, until today, I didn't know what he had seen. I won't share that information publicly.
See EDIT in my next post: (To explain the pedestrian lights system... they flash both going towards green and towards red; cars take precedence if the walkway is empty; pedestrians are advised not to start crossing duing the flashing phase, unless vehicles are already stopped.)
The police seemed to be keeping in touch with me every three weeks or so, until their file had come back from the prosecutor's office asking for a statement from the victim. I heard no more, and assumed they were still waiting for a final decision - which can take up to six months. I thought I knew what was happening - that they would call me if a case was being made of it, so I didn't call them when a longer silence ensued.
This morning, I opened an envelope addressed to someone with a name like mine, but wrongly spelled. I had assumed it was a questionaire from some marketing company - certainly nothing important. But .... it was the Summons. Thus, I have missed important deadlines, and have not yet sought legal advice. The case was to be heard on Friday 29th. (If this is changed, I will post again.)
Apart from my name incorrectly spelled, other technical details may prove significant to the final outcome. Basically, I need a stay, to get enough information to decide how to plead - [i]if
Primarily I'm asking for prayer for wisdom and grace to bring glory to God. I'm not sure that in this case, I am required to plead guilty to an offence I may not have committed, notwithstanding I did collide with a pedestrian.
I know this may sound crazy, but this is all good experience, and I know the Lord allowed it to happen for a purpose. I could care about many other things - like a crimial record, a large fine, time in jail or community service - but I want to do and be only what is honouring to the Lord in this situation, while there is still a legal process which seeks to be fair. I am not trying to get away with a crime if I've committed one, but I will receive however this falls, from the Lord, and I [i]am
I appreciate you all for reading, listening, praying. Perhaps later in the week, if there's something to report, I will update here.
Tomorrow, and Friday - and possibly in between although not already arranged, my son has interviews with two different companies, and opportunities to sign in with agencies already advertising suitable work.
Your prayerful support of his general success is received with gratitude.
Hi Dorcas...
My wife and I will certainly be praying about this situation throughout the day and week. Please keep us updated.
My dad experienced a similar situation some time ago. He was getting ready to pull out from a restaurant's "drive through" when a man hit him with a bicycle. This man was driving his bicycle on the sidewalk and rammed into our passenger side of the vehicle. My dad jumped out of the vehicle and made certain that the man was okay. He was fine. My dad called the police anyway. My dad was NOT ticketed because the man hit my dad, and it is against the law to ride a bicycle on the sidewalk.
My dad's truck was slightly dented and scratched, but he was more worried about the man. My dad didn't want to press the issue at all. Unfortunately, this man saw this as an opportunity for some quick cash. He found a lawyer and sued my dad. My dad's insurance company didn't think that there was a case because my dad was not really in the wrong.
However, my dad has a mild form of glaucoma, and his peripheral vision is limited. As an honorable and honest man, my dad would certainly admit this in court. Against the wishes of his insurance company, my dad agreed to a small settlement (of about $25K). I really didn't want for my dad to settle this matter in such a way, but he felt partially at fault. If his vision was better, he reasoned that he could have seen the man riding down the sidewalk.
Anyway, my dad is an extremely honorable man. He wouldn't lie -- even if it was to protect our family financially. This is a great testimony to our family and friends. It was also a good testimony to the man on the bicycle. In fact, my dad even invited the man over for dinner one night.
I will be praying for this situation. May the Lord give you the favor that you need and allow your relationship with Jesus to shine even in this difficult situation. The Lord bless you and encourage you!
:-)
Lord, protect my sister and overshadow her with fresh anointing and strength.
Position your angels around her and bless all that her hand finds to do.
Shield her from attack and wicked forces.
May she have favor with God and man. May she laugh at the devil and threats and intimidation of man.
Impart to her faith,strength,and courage.
I rebuke any condemnation or fear that would frustrate her faith and her walk.
I speak freedom and joy and courage over her.
Lord, mark her son for your kingdom. Bring him in to you as you did for me. Give him opportunity and bring circumstances in his life. Let laborers cross his path,Holy Ghost men and women to witness to him and bring conviction.
Lord hear our cry for this young man and especially this praying mother.

Thanks to Chris, David and Claudette for your comforting words and to all others who are also praying.
Relating to my last post above, I've learned today that I was wrong about the lights flashing for vehicular traffic between green and red. They flash only between red and green - which gives pedestrians longer to complete crossing, but if there are no pedestrians using the crossing, permits traffic flow to recommence.
Also this morning I've spoken to all the departments I needed to contact, and will seek legal advice through my motor insurer.
I have to write to the Crown Prosecution Service formally to ask for the case to be delayed, but it is possible the police will withdraw it, because their own documentation is now in my hands, and there is nothing they can do to get it back. It is technically incorrect on several counts including not having taken a statement from my passenger - which in itself might have altered their expectation of a Guilty plea.
The police are consulting amongst themselves with the intention of calling me later today. I don't know what their options are, but an accurate statement from them would be my first request, along with a witness statement on my side, before they decide whether to proceed.
The police have got back to me that they wish to proceed. Apparently, the error with the spelling of my name can be corrected in Court on the day.
:-o
One of the other documentary difficulties is that the police statement has been signed without a witness - which is a credit to them inasmuch as the person who signed it was not in attendance for the first ten minutes or so.
Legal advice is proving less easy to access, but I do have time.
I need wisdom as to whether to ask formally for a delay to the case being heard, and if so, on what grounds, and, how to prepare either way.

Amen, and I pray that your son comes into a right relationship with God as well. I haven't kept up with all that has gone on so I am praying that all is well soon if it is not.
Today my son had a good interview and may be shortlisted for a job with prospects. He won't know about this one until next week. There is another interview on Friday for a different company. Thank you for your prayers for him.
:-)
This evening I'm clearer in my spirit, as well as furnished with information and free legal advice tomorrow at 11.30amGMT, for about 30mins.
A brother has encouraged me to consider a protest about the errors in the police paperwork as a cause worth pursuing for the sake of others. I see that I can do this with two or three well-written well-placed letters, but these may not affect the way the case goes, and to link them in my thinking is unwise. (That's progress.)
I have been informed the paperwork must be at Court by Friday morning, whether I am appearing or not; that is soon enough. This is helpful.
Again, thank you for praying.
Praise GOD to see you have a Smilie in this last post. Been following along daily. Praying to see this - > :-D one soon Sis.
We'll hang tight with you all the way.
Bless you and may His purpose, truth and Great Mercy come through quite evidently.
Bless The LORD of GLORY.
Dear Linn
I've only just seen this about the accident. What a horrible experience you've had. But the Lord is taking you through, praise Him.
Just to encourage you re your son: A friend's daughter, after an early commitment to Christ, went very far from Him. She got in with a bad crowd as a teenager, drank, took drugs, stole from her family and their friends, and was even into prostitution.
Recently (after about 10 years or more of rebellion, and utter heartbreak for her parents) she completely repented and is now seeking to follow the Lord fully, and get her life back on track.
Praying for you and your family.
Love in Him
Jeannette
Last night my son and I spent a few minutes observing the pedestrian crossing, and realised how little time before the lights start to flash, that there is to cross. [i]Most people
Also, the traffic controls have been tilted so that the pedestrian can see them as well. I don't know if that's legal, or who did it, but I know it is not usual. The advice for pedestrians is to wait for the [i]green man[i]ready[i]before
:-(
Today the legal guidance was useful for what to cover in my letter to the Magistrate and simply to include the witness statement, there.
Then, when I had finished all I can do today, I began to reflect......... and slowly it came back to me ..... that some years ago I had rung the local authority about that pedestrian crossing........ to complain of it holding traffic up with a red light, [i]long after
:-?
I will be ringing them tomorrow - with yet another suggestion.

Just saw this, sister. I will be praying for you.

Sis, this really caught my eye. When working for our school up north - I covered the Crossing Guard position for a while inbetween my other job.
It was the main road through town and people would fly by sometimes at 60 miles an hour.
I would hold the "Slow" sign up to them and they would throw nasty hands at me and keep going.
I finally got so worried about the children that I started from the School and worked my way up to the State. They had to buy all sorts of things after that.
Could the LORD be saving someone's life through you? I would video the whole "light's" process with that in mind. What you described that you and your son saw yesterday and what you had "rung in" about.
LORD BLESS you!
Hi Annie. Good thoughts and testimony.
Well, I would have rung the department by now, except I've just had my insurance company wake up and call me. They will arrange for me to give a statement to their interviewer, who will also look at the crossing.Could the LORD be saving someone's life through you?
Hey! Now it's my turn to be behind the times... no video camera here! But, I know I could get a real person from the traffic control department to go and watch there. I need to ring them about the angle of the traffic controls anyway. They will adjust the lights to the perfect times, and they will have a record of what the times are now.I would video the whole "light's" process with that in mind.
Progress so far today: wrote and delivered an important letter to the prosecuting authority, and spoke to a man at the traffic control centre who will visit the crossing tomorrow.
He tells me it is not necessary to complete the crossing while the static green man is showing. I countered that with my belief that the traffic controls should not be visible to the pedestrian [u]at all
I checked that if they change the sequence at all, they will have a record of what it was.
Then, I had a conversation with someone who's been to Court to observe a few times, and was much reassured that I will be able to speak to the Magistrate if I attend, even if I plead Guilty. This has given me courage.
Tonight, I'm going to try to finish all other written presentations, so I can print and deliver them tomorrow.
Thank you all who are praying. I know I'm pulling through, but there are some shakey moments. It is a glory to God that He can lead us through even such deservedly unhappy circumstances.
:-D
He is my Father.
Thank you for praying. I've had a lot of peace in the last twentyfour hours.
I appeared to give my name and plea and then everything ground to a halt over the spelling of my name and my driving licence. I was asked to wait outside again while a phonecall was made, but not getting the person she wanted, the legal assistant advised they send me home until next week: Tuesday, 4th March, 0930amGMT.
We were waiting so long that eventually I gave in to [i]life goes on
:-)
we trust in you the living God to rule over this situation and that Linn will have favor with God and man.
Bless her Lord with wisdom and peace and courage.
Amen

Three in agreement. Undergird her LORD.
Thank you Jesus for your protection and for those who love You. Amen!
Dorcas, this giant will fall like all the others!
Remind the enemy of all the times you have been delivered.
This will be but another testimony of the power an provision of God.
In a sense it doesnt even matter what man does against you.
Our God is bigger than any demon they have!!!!
David
Let a little chuckle bubble up from your belly.
Look at the array against you and chuckle.
........(activete your faith)......
Thank you to all who have been praying. I've been away over the weekend, with my son, and had a good time. Also slept exceptionally well. Getting up early has brought me to exhaustion this early, tonight ... In the next few days as there are more answers to prayer, I'll post again.
My case was finally heard to completion today, after a further delay for their paperwork. I'm still taking it in, so bear with my phlegmatism, please. I have been fined, and Court costs added, to a total of a tenth of the maximum financial penalty available to them, (although costs could have been much more), and my licence will be endorsed with six points. (Twelve points = automatic disqualification. They could have given up to nine, within the sentencing guidelines.) The Magistrate acknowledged the accident itself could have been much worse.
It didn't seem wise to hope that the numbers I felt in my heart, were from the Lord, but it appears now, that they were, exactly. [u]God is good
Thank you all for bearing me up.
And for my son. We brought a motorbike back 200 miles over the weekend, and I do praise God all the more now, for safe travelling weather and safety in general, as the roads could have been much busier.
Also because yesterday, first the fuel feed faltered on his outward journey to a friend's, and then on the return, the chain began to give. He had the sense to get off before it broke, and a kind ex-cadet officer who recognised him at the hospital car park where he turned in on foot, being a security guard there, opened the armoured bike shed for him to store it locked-up overnight - free.
Again, we are grateful to God for His mercy.
Thanks, again, to those who have him on your hearts before the Lord.
And now Lord bring in a blessing for her to meet every need and even have enough left over to give away.
Open the windows of heaven for her and pour out a blessing. Direct it right on top of her household.
bring a blessing that normally would not have been there.
May she exploit the bad and testify of your provision and goodness.
may their be no lack in her or her household and may she have noah's testimony "and Linn found favor in the eyes of the Lord. For she was a just woman that walked with God"
Amen

Sis, your report seemed good to my reading/brain - but I have tears.
You need not answer if my saying this is inappropriate - but I will take them to the LORD and pray He wipe them away.
HE Loves you.
So do I, but mainly because we got back safely from a reasonably taxing journey on Sunday. The bike now has a new chain and feels much better!but I have tears
This morning, I woke up with absolutely [i]nothing
Thank you all who have been praying for my son. :-)
Today, he was offered a job, learning to supervise a technical process in a completely new field of expertise.
There are many ideal things about this opportunity with an American-owned company, including that this is a very practical job, with plenty of skill and data to accrue; not only a good mental challenge, but also a step into team-leadership, which he is ready to make.
The daily mountain to scale, though, is for him to be on time at 0730 each day, five days a week. This hurdle is partly offset by half days on Fridays, but nevertheless will take weeks to convert his brain to do automatically. The summer will help, and also that he is keen to be both at work, and at this job. Please pray specifically for this, as you have prayed for his softening towards the gospel (which God is answering).
The weeks he has been out of work have brought about a sea change in the way he and I interact with each other, and he has listened to my side of some conversations about God with others, with more accommodation. He is not convinced yet, but seems to have found some things to respect in some of what he has heard.
Because he is now a motorbike rider, he is making sure to be sober before taking to the road, and as he will no longer be able to walk to work, I see God's hand in this outcome.
Praise His name!
He is hoping to gain his full motorbike riding licence, very soon.
Do thank the Lord for all that He is doing. :-)
Amen.
I can see both sides of this spectrum. Some of your fears about your son, were an actual reality in Mom's life for many years with her son. (ME)
Mom told me in the later years, after I had surrendered my life to the Lord, that she had laid me on the alter just as Abraham did Isaac and thank God he sent, not a ram, but the Lamb of God, as a sacrifice that saved me from my sins.
Now I am reaping what I have sown in this life. My son now 28 and is just as rebellious and unconcerned about the things of God as I was at that age. I can only do as my mother did for her son. I Pray that your son and my son will see as we did, that God has sent the Lamb, that perfect Lamb. Look the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world.
I think we all have our Isaac's in some form.
Praying for you and yours.
God Bless.
I thought I was the only one! Could you also include my son.4 days in a row. Tues.Hurt his foot real bad.Wed, Got in a horrible fight with a grown man(he lost).today a tire blewout on his truck. and tomarrow he goes to court for an old warrant Whew! Wish the boy would surrender!

Praying for your son also psalm1 and for the parents in the midst of the children's storm.
To experiences such events four days in a row, it could seem as if one is on candid camera. How well I remember mine.
