My brothers and sisters good evening.
For the last several days I have been in the hospital undergoing testing for fluid issues around my heart and lungs. The doctors tell me that I have a mass growing on my right lung. And another mass growing in the upper chamber of my right heart. Diagnosis appears to be some type of cancer. May be melanoma. Needless to say that this has shaken my faith. I always thought that God would take me home through martyrdom. Not cancer.
Learning to live this out day by day. Learning to lean more into Jesus. I wish I could tell you that I have it all together. But I simply don't.
Tomorrow go to have cardio window cut into my heart so the fluid can drain into my lungs. Will try to post updates if I can get access to my phone. Would appreciate and covet your prayers.

We are praying for you, and God does not have to use a destructive disease like cancer to take you home. I am not praying for God to take you home, but to heal you based on Isaiah 53:4,5

I heard from a brother:

Looks like the doctors have told Blaine that they believe he has 4th stage melanoma. With treatment just over a year, without treatment six months.

Let us keep praying for blaine as you feel led of the Spirit.

My wife , had an incurable brain tumour that radiation and chemo and operation was required to give her only 12 months , with it she had melanoma that spread into timers near her spine and womb area , it cause lymphoma

But showed us mercy and grace beoned words , when she met a Christian cancer doctor at our hospital in queensland , who paid for here flight to America and some of the treatments with a trial drug mix , that worked , it’s a long story , But no one ,neither blain needs to give up ...

With god all things are possable. ....

Brothagary, would you feel comfortable sharing the location and name of your wife’s doctor here in the States? What a testimony....praise the Lord...

Blaine is going to be updating his facebook on his journey and need for prayer along the way. Instead of posting every update here I think its better for saints to interact on his facebook and see them there and pray.

Brothers and sisters good morning. It's been awhile since I've posted current updates regarding my cancer. I go to talk to oncology doctors this morning. Hoping to see what protocols are available to treat cancer. I will try to post updates as God enables me. Some of you have asked about the possibilities of calling of getting in touch. Delighted to have all calls but please understand I can't do prolong conversations.Will be more faithful in posting current updates. you want faithful and postin on my timeline. Please keep me in prayer as I go to talk to oncology doctors this morning. Your brother in Christ. Blaine

"I love Brother Blaine Scogin. We spent many hours together in prayer, worship and mutual edification in Gods Word. There was never a carnal conversation about football, shopping or the latest fashion or any other such like thing. During my year in Missouri (2014), before selling everything and going to China, I would drive to Little Rock, AR and conduct weekend Army drill (my last year in the Army). Blaine would host me at his house. I often heard him early mornings listening to scripture and praying loudly. I believe he truly desired to walk in the steps of His Savior Jesus Christ. Prior to this year, Jody Lynn and I would invite Blaine to our house for worship and dinner. We were blessed in Jesus’ presence during these times.

Brother Blaine will be missed. He was a powerful prayer warrior and intercessor, and he had a great burden for the persecuted church.

We are sad but at the same time praising God, for Brother Blaine is forever in the presence of Jesus, and in the great cloud of witnesses.

There are plenty of men who have died and you do not know just what will become of them. Their lives didn't seem to fit scripture and therefore didn't seem to fit scripture hope and reward.

Brother Blaine is not that kind of man. There is a certainty, an undefiled hope that Brother Blaine has entered into the joy of his Lord and I pray I do as well as he has done.

I think he always wanted a martyrs crown, but by faith he has obtained a crown of righteousness that our faithful and true witness will give him.

I was challenged by Blaine’s faith and love for the persecuted church. He finished his race well. May we do the same.

Mr. Bear "as I always addressed him" and he never scolded me for that, I really think he liked that name. He will be missed, he had many opinions on everything, I especially liked this one:

"Just curious. Those of us who use other translations allow you the the liberty to use your KJV. Yet you will not allow us the same liberty. Just wondering why?

Bearmaster."

He reminded me of me in some ways, always able to see outside the box. SI hasn't lost Mr. Bear, because you can't lose anything if you know where it is, and we all know where Mr. Bear is. Praise Jesus!

Blaine’s memorial service is scheduled for next Sunday, Jan 12, 2020 at 2 pm. It will be held at Redeeming Grace Church (Lakewood) which meets at Colorado Christian University (CCU) in room 170/172 of Leprino Hall. The building can be easily accessed from CCU's main campus entrance.

Directions:
There are two entrances into the campus of Colorado Christian University (CCU).
-You can enter from Garrison street (located just west of CCU). Go straight through the first stop sign and at the second, you will see Leprino Hall just to your right. There are two small parking lots, one in front and one on the right. You can park there if spots are available. If these are full, take a left at the second stop sign, follow the road around until you come to a larger parking lot near the Event Center (Gymnasium). You can park there and enjoy a short walk to Leprino Hall.
-You can also access CCU's campus through the main entrance on Alameda Ave. Once you enter, keep going straight, until it wraps around the Event Center. You can park in that lot or look for closer spots as you continue on the road, closer to Leprino Hall.

One important note: We do ask that you not park in the Mile High Church's parking lot. Cars may be towed.

Thank you for posting this. I am truly sorry for Blaine's loss. I did not know he had passed into JESUS's arms. I was blessed to know him and pray with him for revival and on the persecuted church prayer line. He taught me many things. I will remember Blaine most for his closing remarks in the last prayer meeting.. We take authority over any retalitory spirits in JESUS name..
Thanks Blaine for letting me pray along side of you many times. Im sure you are on the streets of gold and you heard well done. You will be missed. I am thankful for the cloud of witnesses you are with now and no longer in pain.
