1000's are leaving the country. Fuel for cars is quickly disappearing. Long lines are appearing at stores.

We are told to be out of our buildings from 7-10:00 PM tonight as bombing may occur.

We are deeply touched as we read your expressions of love and concern in the past 12 hours.

I have no idea who you are talking about, JFW. I have brothers and sisters in Ukraine who don't want this to happen. Don't know of any who want this. Even so, I don't develop policies, theology, or any of my beliefs based on what my opponents believe.

And personally, I don't really care what anyone espouses nor do I use whatever someone else is saying to determine whether or not God is on my side. I take the biblical stance: am I on the Lord's side? I love His Word, I have His Spirit, and He is sanctifying me. I don't really care if Kim Jong-Un and I see eye-to-eye on something. That isn't how I develop my beliefs. I develop them based upon Scripture.

So, I will continue to pray about this, because people (civilians) are being murdered while the whole world stands by and watches.

Trump did not support Putin. He said that the political/military stategy that Putin employed was genius and that it showed Putin was savvy. That is true. Putin is very clever. He successfully surrounded the entire country of Ukraine while convincing the world he wasn't going to invade. He declared the Eastern Provinces independent and is not cloaking his intentions by fighting to keep the "peace" there in those newly-declared independent regions.

But the man is evil. Trump admires his gusto and tenacity, but only in the sense that he has those qualities. He does not approve of what he is doing at all; Trump said that very thing.

However, I can't help but say that you are way off track on this topic. How can an update from a brother in Christ who is sheltering from missiles being fired from an invading army and a request for prayer degenerate into the political discussion that is taking place?

This is not about Russia vs. Ukraine or Putin vs. the New World Order for that matter? Yes, we live on this Satan-corrupted earth, but we are not of it. To me, a big part of that means not being entangled with the political systems of the world. These days I have been reading through the book of Daniel and have been impressed with the overarching theme which is that the kingdom(s) of this world will be replaced by the coming kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ. It's that kingdom that we fight for. That's why brother Bill Pro rightly tried to remind you that our battle is not against flesh and blood and you shrugged it off by saying that you were not going to support anyone that a certain which supported. I actually had the opportunity to visit and preach the gospel in Russia as a youth 30 years ago and that was a life-changing experience for me. I cannot deny what I can plainly see, and has been soaked in prayer beginning a lil over month ago specifically regarding the Ukraine and what was to come.
Like christians here and around the world everyone wants what’s best for the Ukrainian people, but it’s important to point out that , "how to achieve that” has a direct bearing on the effectiveness of our prayers. We are in a war and our prayer life is a real weapon but it has to be wielded with precision and that requires specific targets, if we’re off target then what is the effect ?
And by the response to my suggestion that Putin may in fact be used by God to do a thing it seems clear that many prayers might miss the mark .

If you notice President Biden does not treat China the same way that he deals with Russia. China is one of the few countries that does not condemn Putin’s actions. The other countries are North Korea and Iran. Now President Biden is ready to get back in Iran’s nuclear deal. I don’t believe that Putin would start a nuclear war, but I believe Iran would. Israel will attack Iran at the first threat of them having the capability of launching nuclear weapons. We must remember that things will play out according to the scriptures. A brother from my church got hooked on similar sources of information and it is very difficult to talk to him and it became a concern in our church.
