The Revival Hymn (VIDEO) released...I am very excited and thankful to God for the release of this video. It has been compiled by an anonymous brother from SermonIndex and I am so pleased to see this work spurred on by the Holy Spirit. May it continue to bear fruit and stir us to pray for revival in our lives and in our churches and communities. Also the recording will be available on DVD to share with others for strictly personal use and giving away as gifts or sharing it. I am looking for a group of 10-20 people that have DVD burners and would be willing to distribute these mail them to people that are desiring a copy if you are able to do this then private message me and I will add your name and email to this post so people can contact and you and I can intially send you a DVD copy. Indeed wonderful. A work of God no doubt, all glory be unto God. I DO have a DVD burner and woulden't mind sending a copy to brothers. My only vice is DVD's. Once the job gets going though, I will be in contact. Again though, Praise God for this wonderful work he has wrought by a brother who has chosen rather to glory in Christ, and not in the flesh.

S

Praise God brother do email or private message me when you are able to send out DVD's to other people and I will add you to the list. I am excited to be able to get out DVD quality of this recording out to people.

HIGH version of "The Revival Hymn": *right click on the titles and choose "save target as" these files will not stream! (in most cases you will have to RENAME the extension to .mp4 from mpg to get the file to work!!)Noticed that this will open in a Quick Time player here on my system and that you would need to save the file as Greg stated by adding the .mp4 extension to the file name in the "File Name:" box.Just below that you will need to change "The Save as type:" setting from "Movie Clip" to "All Files", that may only be so that you can see them listed but thought it worth mentioning...Now the question would be how to link these together into one continuous ... "Piece". Realize Greg mentioned he would be working on this, but in the mean time wondering if there is some techy advice out there for the end users to stitch these together after they have been downloaded in the mean time ...Now to go watch... :-D

S

Yes I think to get this together in one file will be a good thing to do even though the size will be pretty big.

Great addition!Whoever the brother or sister is that put it together - thank you.Quick edit though:In the second section of the high quality download, there is a typo of the word "corruption."Is it too late to do some small editing?Kendal

I am working on getting an version that is FULL with all the clips in one file. Thank you for your patience brothers and sisters. I am going to try and get his one file is as many formats as possible.

If you run it through iTunes you can create a playlist that will play them consecutively.Excellent, will have to give that a lookOn to the more meaty issue..This is phenomenal! Praise God, have only watched the first 4 parts and had tears, what an incredible job he did with this... the possibilities of reach...

S

I have taken down the 7 parts and have it all in one part. I will be getting other formats up soon such as, wmv, ram, etc..

S

I just added the wmv version which is quite small and loads nicely:WMV version of "The Revival Hymn": *right click on the titles and choose "save target as"

The .ram file should be uploaded in the next few days. Are there any other formats that anyone would prefer? I would love to hear comments on what people think about this recording.

M

This is great! I don't know if anyone has tried or if it will work, but do you think that this could be loaded onto a CD-R as a video and also have the regular audio clip as well, so you could either play it in a DVD player or a CD player? I think that would be great format to pass it out in. I'm gonna try it now...Miles

G
groh_frog

I think this clip is great! There's something nice about not having the words written to distract you- to encourage you to just close your eyes and immerse in what's being said. But there's also a few parts that can be difficult to understand without knowing (or being able to read) what's being said. This clip is great for that. I think I'll continue to use both the audio alone, and the video clip versions. Thanks for the great work, anonymous brother!Grace and Peace...

Great comments, I would love to hear more of what people think and those who have been able to watch the video. Also those who are able to duplicate DVD's and could mail some to brethren please email me or post your willingness here.

Nice work on this video. I am having one problem though; I'm having no success burning this video to DVD, the synchronization of the audio with the video text gets lost in the transcoding. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I suspect it is the software encoder I'm using, it may be having trouble with the low data rate of this video. I'm using NeroVision Express 3 to do the transcoding from mp4 to DVD.In Christ,Ron

S

I am having an DVD quality recording sent to me from the "anonymous" brother. I want to get copies out but primarly to people that will be able to duplicate it for others first. I also burned the mp4 to DVD successfully but I am using an apple computer. But it should work, I also have the mp4 on my video ipod and that works very well.

The Revival Hymn came out on DVD for me, just going to have to check it thoroughly.

I live close to a very well known "world" evangelistic ministry (actually 2 of them). One of them I know has it's own video/tv/and production studio. I want to contact them and see if I/we were to supply the material if they would allow me or do it for us. Even if they just did the first distro or two... Be praying about this!!!!!

S

I want to contact them and see if I/we were to supply the material if they would allow me or do it for us. Even if they just did the first distro or two...Brother I am having an DVD QUALITY recording being sent to me which I will be able to get out to some brothers and sisters so that you can all make copies. If you have an DVD recorder and are willing to get DVD's out to some brothers and sisters on SI then email me or post a reply displaying your willingness.

L

I have two burners here, please put me on the list. I still wish to see if I can get this ministry to assist in the "burning process". Just because the size of this ministry has to have a system capable of doing multiple burns simeltaneously.

S

Just because the size of this ministry has to have a system capable of doing multiple burns simeltaneously. As long as the revival hymn is offered for free as a personal gift I have no problem with that. I will add your email to the first post. And send you a copy of the DVD as soon as I get it. Could you send me your mailing address brother.

I downloaded the video onto my Mac and my wife's Windows XP machine. I got it to work on OS X by changing the name (mp4), but we haven't gotten it to work on hers with Quicktime, Windows Media Player, or anything else. I'll see if I can help her with it, and then we'll have two burners. Mine does CD or DVD; I'm not sure about hers but I'll find out, and then we should have two burners to send these out. I'm taking it to our church to start with, and see what the pastor says about getting it out to Panama City, Florida, and the surrounding area.

L
lamuskrat

I have contacted the ministry via e-mail and am waiting on a reply. I also included this website with the direct link to this thread so they can read of our intent and that we are legit and most importantly...sincere in our evangelistic efforts.

I downloaded the mp4 one and it would not play on my computer (Win XP). I changed the file extention and all of that. What program are you using to view the file (those of you using XP)?

What program are you using to view the file (those of you using XP)?You are going to need to use Quicktime I believe to play that format. It's a free download: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ There is also an Windows Media format file to download also in the first post of this thread. The mp4 is abit higher quality though.

I played this for the chapel service tonight at the local Union Mission (I normally conduct Monday night chapels there.)I think it really stir some consciences, and many were literally leaning on every word.I told the Mission I would give them a copy real soon. The director there is interested in it but hasn't seen it yet.-Chris

I think it really stir some consciences, and many were literally leaning on every word.Praise God that is excellent brother. I know this recording is going to bear much fruit. I am going to be showing it to brothers on this outreach trip to Ottawa and in the USA. I can just imagine it being played in youth groups and in bible schools.

P
PreachParsly

I tried it with Quicktime. I will make sure I have the latest version. If others on Windows XP have been able to play the .mp4 then I know its just a problem with something I have. Yeah, I was wanting the better quality one so when I get a DVD burner I could make copies. I'll mess with it some more.

S

Send me your address brother and I will send you a DVD QUALITY recording of the Revival Hymn when I can. I do believe the newest version of quicktime is required to play mp4, let me know if it works out.

Thanks brother, but it works fine with the newest version of QuickTime. I had an older version. It is great I am watching it now.

This is great... Praise be unto God!Thanks to the anonymous brother, who has put in the efforts to do this- God bless Him.Like all of us here, I've been greatly impacted by the Revival Hymn, and I believe this video will be a powerful instrument- both in meetings and gatherings, and individually. I would like to know if it's a possible for a DVD quality recording to mailed to me, here in Mumbai, India. I plan to distribute copies here.

lovejt wrote:I'm a bit late, but i just viewed the Video and am blown away. I was wondering where all that beautiful footage in the background came from? Just incredible. -jamesI used a combination of images found online (I tried to use copyright-free images or at least altered them from the original) and all the motion backgrounds came as part of a video-editing program that a brother donated to me while I was about halfway through. That's why there aren't that many moving backgrounds during the first 10 mins. or so. I am so thrilled that people are being blessed by this video. I pray it brings revival across nations and denominations. I pray that pastors hungry for revival will be broken by it and share this video with their congregations. This video was birthed out of the love I had for the message it conveys. :-)

UNK, thanks for putting that together. I am starting to get into video and wish to use it for my music productions/ministry. I am looking for some footage simular to what you used with the breathtaking creation. Could you point me to where i can find this kind of stuff and other advice would be appreciated. Thank youGod bless,-james

All I can remember is that the brother who bought it said he found it at a STAPLES store on sale. It retailed for $50 but he was able to get it much less b/c it was on sale and had a rebate. The video files it came with were low-res, which you can see that they are not broadcast quality on the DVD version...doesn't look bad per say but if you are looking for high-quality video production stuff, expect to pay high dollar. I will try to remember to PM you the name and manufacturer of the software when I am home again. :-)

Willo wrote:I downloaded it, and burnt 2 copies, and in both copies alot of the audio is missing.:(The audio involves some panning from left to right. If you are playing this on a mono TV (one speaker), some of the audio may not play. If you have three RCA jacks (yellow = video, white = Left Audio, red = Right audio) going into your TV (or RF Modulator), then you should be able to hear all the audio. If you only have one audio jack in your TV (a yellow and white), then you may need to purchase a Y-adapter so that you can run both white and red RCA jacks into one. That might solve the panning issues. Some DVD players can be configured to output a mono signal (both Right and Left audios mixed) under its audio menu, so try that, too. If that works, it usually is the white jack that outputs the signal.-Chris

I love the preaching and appreciate the labour that has gone into this. Would it be permissable for me to edit out the music that comes in at around 12:20? Just for my personal use? I really do not care for that style of music but enjoy the rest of the production. Anyway, it is an excellant production and has beena challenge and blessing to me.

Brother Bruce just forwarded me some instructions he made on how to copy the revival hymn. How to download, play, and copy The Revival Hymn video.1)\tDownload The Revival Hymn video, don’t change anything, save to desktop2)\tGo to www.videolan.org, scroll down page to “Download Now”. There are two icons, one for Windows and the other for Macintosh. Click on the appropriate icon for your system. Security warning for Windows will pop up (if using Windows), click on run3)\tOnce download of VLC Media Player is complete, right click on The Revival Hymn video and click on Properties4)\tIn Properties it will say, “Open with”…. If it does not say “opens with VLC Media player” click on “change” 5)\tIt should say, “Choose the program you want to use to open this file”, Click on “VLC Media Player” and it should now be highlighted in blue. Click OK and now whenever it is played it will open automatically with VLC Media PlayerTo copy The Revival Hymn video file onto a CD ( I use Nero Express 5.5 free version to burn CD’s)1)\tSimply open Nero and copy as a data file (not a video file) and copy to CD2)\tIf you are going to share The Revival Hymn video with others (highly recommended), simply include a copy of the VLC Media Player on the same CD by dragging it over to the (Nero) CD burner that you are burning the Revival Hymn on. Remember to copy as a data file. 3)\tAfter burning one CD and testing it, simply make copies of the whole CD as available in the main menu of Nero.

I received the DVD from brother Strickland and I am able to make copies. If anybody wants one just let me know.Somebody asked about deleting the part with just music in the middle of the video. I can make copies without that section, but I will only distribute that version with the permission of SI. corneldragos@yahoo.comFor Greg: Can you tell me please what software program was used for making the video, I would like to make some clips for personal use in our (romanian) church.

I flash embedded the revival hymn on my blog via YouTube.Incase anyone else is interested in this method of deploying the video... Often someone will stream a video with the click of a button rather than putting in a DVD or downloading a 25 megabyte file...
