Graftedb, In the case if they ask where did God come from, then you can ask why is it easier to believe that there was always a piece matter in space the size of a period ready to explode, then a God who was always there who created you to live with him forever? Annie,Having ministered to females at a CPC for 15 years, I can tell you that teaching 'love' does not cut it, either...not in the south it doesn't. They have heard it all ther lives and think they are not so bad that God would condemn them to hell because they perceive themselves as basically good people and surely God would NOT send them to hell! Or, if they do know they are going - and they have told me so - they believe they will have lots of friends there and they will have company..During this time, the Holy Spirit impressed on my mind how I needed to emphasize the Holiness of God to my clients. I did and, lady, it was like I was plowing new ground! (And to you city slickers this means the ground was hard and difficult to plow decent!) These people barely understood what this meant! All they have heard is how loving God is...his Holiness was not taught! But my job was to be obedient and let the HS take it from there. My point: to emphasize the love of God apart from his Holiness and wrath is not teaching the complete Gospel message of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Love without wrath is meaningless. ginnyrose

Hey Ginnyrose, Sis, I sure do know what you're saying about "down south here".Being from up north and then moving to the south, all the girls I worked with were "saved" ... :-? .I told on here one time, how they all went "Clubing" on Sat. nites and Church the next day with their fatherless babies.I used to talk to them and ask, "Well, what does your Pastor say about all'a this ?" and they said, "He says he was young once too."No, I completely agree with you on that part.I loved them and they knew it, but they also knew plainly what I felt about their lifestyle.My first post above my Love post that you probably read, was about these three men scientists I know, ages about 55 to 66 years old.I know them very well, so I know what closes their ears in a heart beat, yet I also know they have tender hearts and all 3 have much compassion, despite their line of work.So, I keep on keeping on, over the last 28 years or so to witness to them, though I'm not in contact with them too often, but PRAYING that God would send folks on their own IQ and career level to speak the Born-Again message to them. It's a little hard to go into detail on this one, but I only mentioned love, because I wrote a 4 page Christmas story for them and mailed it out and I believe the Love on the Cross was the first time I've seen a response coming out of them in all of these years. I believe the Lord gave me or wrote that Christmas story, Praise His Name, and it was just for them and my father.So, if you could just remember to pray for those 4 men, I'd sure appreciate it with all of my heart. I am glad the LORD put it on your heart to pray for these men...Unchristian people who are highly educated have an attitude called arrogance. I know of a well educated man with degrees from Harvard, Princeton, et al who used to say how he was amazed that a person with an eighth grade education who has good comprehension skills will have the same insights to the scriptures as he does with all HIS education! About those girls...I believe this is the downside of Calvinism which teaches once saved always saved and what sins you committed have been forgiven (true if they repented) as well as the future ones not yet committed. I am of the opinion the reason one sees so much immorality in the Bible belt is simply because of this doctrine. People are so religious, but the motivation to repent is missing even though they know what they are doing is wrong but believe God will make an exception in their case! The test of Biblical doctrine is how it works out in shoe leather. If it does not aide in producing holiness, one better take another look at it and see where it is flawed. Very very true Ginnyrose.I think we call it "Gospel Hardened" ... when folks have heard it all of their lives and grew up down here, after a while ... it loses it's convicting affect.I've been concerned that we don't do that with 'everything or anything' we hear A LOT of.After a while, it's just like water on a ducks back ... we get to where we say, "Oh yeah, I can tell you all about 'commitment' or whatever" and we can talk about just about anything anymore, but to live it out in this country isn't too manifest as yet.Yes, we moved down here, because the North was so spiritually dead, that everyone we left there, had to start house Churches just to keep in fellowship and keep the fire burning. You know I am on another forum that has had an on going thread about evolution and creation for a while now and just about all the info published here has been used to defend creation, but when asked these questions the evolutionists always come back with the big bang caused everything to start into motion and is totally responsible for all up to today, and I guess if that's what they want to believe that is their business, but I have found that these folks that believe in evolution and some hard core believers and it's really tough to get through.

3. Where did the laws of the universe comefrom (gravity, inertia, etc.)?
4. How did matter get so perfectly organized?
5. Where did the energy come from to do all the organizing?
6. When, where, why, and how did life come from dead matter?
7. When, where, why, and how did life learn to reproduce itself?
8. With what did the first cell capable of sexual reproduction reproduce?
9. Why would any plant or animal want to reproduce more of its kind since this would only make more mouths to feed and decrease the chances of survival? (Does the individual have a drive to survive, or the species? How do you explain this?)
10. How can mutations (recombining of the genetic code) create any new, improved varieties? (Recombining English letters will never produce Chinese books.)
11. Is it possible that similarities in design between different animals prove a common Creator instead of a common ancestor?
12. Natural selection only works with the genetic information available and tends only to keep a species stable. How would you explain the increasing complexity in the genetic code that must have occurred if evolution were true?
13. When, where, why, and how did: a) Single-celled plants become multicelled? (Where are the two- and threecelled intermediates?) b) Single-celled animals evolve? c) Fish change to amphibians? d) Amphibians change to reptiles? e) Reptiles change to birds? (The lungs, bones, eyes, reproductive organs, heart, method of locomotion, body covering, etc., are all very different!) How did the intermediate forms live?
14. When, where, why, how, and from what did: a) Whales evolve? b) Sea horses evolve? c) Bats evolve? d) Eyes evolve? e) Ears evolve? f) Hair, skin, feathers, scales, nails, claws, etc., evolve?
15. Which evolved first (how, and how long, did it work without the others)? a) The digestive system, the food to be digested, the appetite, the ability to find and eat the food, the digestive juices, or the body’s resistance to its own digestive juice (stomach, intestines, etc.)? b) The drive to reproduce or the ability to reproduce? c) The lungs, the mucus lining to protect them, the throat, or the perfect mixture of gases to be breathed into the lungs? d) DNA or RNA to carry the DNA message to cell parts? e) The termite or the flagella in its intestines that actually digest the cellulose? f) The plants or the insects that live on and pollinate the plants? g) The bones, ligaments, tendons, blood supply, or muscles to move the bones? h) The nervous system, repair system, or hormone system? i) The immune system or the need for it?
3. Conscience- You can you use the wayofthemaster method or you can use what God gave me in relation to it. All you have to do is ask them if lying is wrong? If they have a conscience they'll say yes. Sometimes you have to get answers out of them but the important thing is to show them that by they're conscience, they say that these things are wrong not the bible. Then ask them is stealing is wrong? how about rape? murder? adultery? If they say yes, then you tell them that by their conscience they say these things are wrong. They will nod in agreement. Then you point out that isn't it funny that your concscience is in direct alignment with the Ten Commandments, the things God says are wrong! Tell them that this is because the bible says we were created in his image. We are moral, God is Moral. We expect justice, God will get Justice. This is an awesome method that God has shown me and too often i saw the peoples eyes light with the revelation of GOD. This is by far my most favorite method of the hiccup process.
4. Prophecy- this is the easiest and most effective step to remember. 3800+ prophecies in the bible. Every one has been fufilled to date. 350+ prophecies talk about Jesus's birht, life, death, and resurrection way before he was born. Every one of them was fufilled. No sacred writing in the world has come close to that amount of accuracy. Not the KORAN, not the buddist bible, not any occult in the world. God gave prophecy to prove his purpose! Mathmaticians say to get 8 prophecies right would be 1 IN 100,000,000,000,000,000. THIS IS A REAL NUMBER! It's pronounced one hundred million billion. Jesus fulfilled 350+,and there are prophecies being fulfilled to this day. Glory to God.
