All Ye That Pass By
Verse 1
All ye that pass by,
Verse 2
To Jesus draw nigh:
Verse 3
To you is it nothing that Jesus should die?
Verse 4
Your ransom and peace,
Verse 5
Your surety He is:
Verse 6
Come, see if there ever was sorrow like His. For what you have done
Verse 7
His blood must atone:
Verse 8
The Father hath punished for you His dear Son.
Verse 9
The Lord, in the day
Verse 10
Of His anger, did lay
Verse 11
Your sins on the Lamb, and He bore them away. He answered for all:
Verse 12
O come at His call,
Verse 13
And low at His cross with astonishment fall!
Verse 14
But lift up your eyes
Verse 15
At Jesus cries:
Verse 16
Impassive, He suffers; immortal, He dies. He dies to atone
Verse 17
For sins not His own;
Verse 18
Your debt He hath paid, and your work He hath done.
Verse 19
Ye all may receive
Verse 20
The peace He did leave,
Verse 21
Who made intercession, My Father, forgive! For you and for me
Verse 22
He prayed on the tree:
Verse 23
The prayer is accepted, the sinner is free.
Verse 24
That sinner am I,
Verse 25
Who on Jesus rely,
Verse 26
And come for the pardon God cannot deny. My pardon I claim;
Verse 27
For a sinner I am,
Verse 28
A sinner believing in Jesus Name.
Verse 29
He purchased the grace
Verse 30
Which now I embrace:
Verse 31
O Father, Thou knowst He hath died in my place. His death is my plea;
Verse 32
My Advocate see,
Verse 33
And hear the blood speak that hath answered for me.
Verse 34
My ransom He was
Verse 35
When He bled on the cross;
Verse 36
And losing His life He hath carried my cause.
