O Lord! 'tis joy to look above And see Thee on the throne; To search the heights and depths of love Which Thou to us hast shown

To look beyond the dark, long night And hail the coming day, When Thou, to all the saints in light, Thy glories wilt display.

And O 'tis joy the path to trace By Thee so meekly trod; Learning of Thee to walk in grace And fellowship with God.

Joy to confess Thy blessed Name, The virtues of Thy blood, And to the wearied heart proclaim, Behold the Lamb of God!
