Just to enjoy Thy word, I come to Thee, dear Lord; Spirit and life, I need to gain, Through Thee, O living Word!

Just to enjoy Thy word, Thy Testaments for man— Spoken through men by Spirit borne— Reveal Thy hidden plan.
Verse 3
Just to enjoy Thy word, Prophets spoke from of old The coming Savior of God’s plan; Now through the Son ‘tis told.
Verse 4
Just to enjoy Thy word; God’s covenant to share; God’s promises made real through faith, Laid hold of by my prayer.
Verse 5
Just to enjoy Thy Word; He’s God expressed, defined; My spirit with His Spirit joined, God’s grace I’ll surely find.
Verse 6
Just to enjoy Thy word; Thy constant, written word, Mingled with prayer, becomes in me Thine instant, spoken word.
Verse 7
Just to enjoy Thy word, Thy words anticipate, Cry out at dawn, and hope in them, On them to ruminate.
Verse 8
Just to enjoy Thy word, The living God to see, As hart doth pant for cooling streams, I pant, O God, for Thee.
Verse 9
Just to enjoy Thy word, Flooding my path with light; Let it pierce through, illuminate, Dispel my heart’s dark night.
Verse 10
Just to enjoy Thy word, Do make my heart, good ground! Let Thy word’s seed take root and grow, That from me fruit abound.

Just to enjoy Thy word, For Thou Thyself didst say, Man shall not live by bread alone, But by Thy word each day.

Just to enjoy Thy word, Coming as crumbs, so small, Reaching me in my lowest state, To be my all in all.

Just to enjoy Thy word, Thy lips bring words of grace; Sweeter than honey to my mouth, Oh, how it cheers always!

Just to enjoy Thy word, I ate the words I found, And they became the gladness, joy, That makes my heart resound!
Verse 15
Just to enjoy Thy word, Spirit’ual food to me— As guileless milk, then solid food— Unto maturity.
Verse 16
Just to enjoy Thy word, A two-edged sword to me, Which divides spirit from the soul, My thoughts, intents to see.
Verse 17
Just to enjoy Thy word, Thy Word instructeth me, It is God-breathed to make complete The man of God in me.
Verse 18
Just to enjoy Thy word, God’s proclaimed Jubilee! From sin released, to land returned— We’re made God’s family!
Verse 19
Just to enjoy Thy word, Which each day fresh does fall, As heaven’s manna coming down, To be our all in all.
Verse 20
Just to enjoy Thy word, Save from fall’s sin and stain; Reconstitute with manna pure; Thy holy people gain.
Verse 21
Just to enjoy Thy word, Our daily, sure supply; Eating this manna heavenly, Thy church we’ll build thereby.
Verse 22
Just to enjoy Thy word, Hold forth the word of life; God’s luminaries, blameless, shine, Amidst this world of strife.

Just to enjoy Thy word, With it, go forth to sow, Watering men’s hearts faithfully, That God may cause to grow.
Verse 24
Just to enjoy Thy Word, Our hearts with love o’erflow, With one another, Christ we share, Thy Body thus doth grow.
Verse 25
Just to enjoy Thy word, Let Christ’s word richly dwell, Speak, teach, admonish, sing with grace To saints and God as well.
Verse 26
Just to enjoy Thy word; The speaking Spirit, hear; As Son of Man midst lampstands moves, Cares for His churches dear.
Verse 27
Just to enjoy Thy word; Thy truth doth sanctify, Become our full reality, And oneness bring thereby.
Verse 28
Just to enjoy Thy word, To be prepared His bride; We’re by its washing, cleansing pow’r Made holy, glorified!
Verse 29
Just to enjoy Thy word, The Spirit’s sword receive; By means of prayer, petitioning, We victory achieve.
Verse 30
Just to enjoy Thy word, Richly, in many ways, Till it is our memorial, Throughout eternal days.
Verse 31
Just to enjoy Thy word, Faithful Thy surety; Though heav’n and earth shall pass away, It stands eternally.
